The doctor seems to know what he's talking about but the communication is terrible. I've never received a call back from several messages left.

Very poor communication skills. Dr. Lopez did no preparation for my visit. Records and images were in three different offices, required doctor to exit and read images, then return. Very unprofessional

For several months I was dealing with pain in my upper back and shoulder area which also was causing pain in my right arm. As the months progressed the pain got worse. My GP had me on Gabapentin, I tried the chiropractor, nothing worked. With being a very active person in my mid 50's I was now struggling to work and sleep. I made an appt with Dr. Lopez's office and it changed my life more than you can imagine. After x-rays and MRI's is was determined to be disk degeneration in C5 & C6 causing pressure on the spinal cord. Dr. Lopez sat with me and explained what needed to be done to relieve the pressure, a discectomy and fusion of C5 & C6. At this point I was ready for anything that would alleviate the pain so I could be active again. We scheduled the surgery and 2 weeks later I was free of pain and fishing in Kodiak AK. I highly highly recommend Dr. Lopez, he explained the process in detail and made the Dr./patient relationship real.

I had been dealing with lower back pain for over 3 years always thinking "it would go away", it never did in fact it worsened over time. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Lopez. We took a conservative approach at first including injection therapy. I was terrified of having back surgery. Dr. Lopez and his entire staff eased my anxiety providing me with others success stories, and emphasizing the importance of healing and recovering at home. Dr. Lopez explains your individual problem and the path to turning the corner to a better and hopefully pain free life. All of Dr. Lopez's staff are wonderful, helpful, people. I'm one month post op Lower Lumbar spinal fusion. I won't say it's easy, but I know it will be worth the effort. It's hard to put Dr. Lopez's care into words, except that I'm thankful for him and his entire staff. Thank you Dr. Lopez....you're the best!

Dr. Lopez office is very friendly and professional. I have seen other speciality doctors for same reason and they said there was nothing that could be done and offered pain medications, I want to fix the problem not cover it up. Dr. Lopez listened and ordered test for neck issues that I had and did neck fusion in 2018. Then after years of back pain and increasing I returned to see what he could do. After more test and discussing options we decided to go for surgery again to decompress the nerves that were pinching and causing so much pain. So we scheduled and did a lumbar microdiscectomy and foraminotomy in October 2020 and I have not felt so much relief from pain in a long time. Since the operation and in the couple weeks post op the people I have seen say how much better I am moving and notice that I am standing up straight now. Dr. Lopez is one of the best surgeons around here and I highly recommend him. He has given me my life back without being in constant pain.

This was my 2nd in person visit after cervical surgery and it was a short wait and efficient appointment where I felt like I mattered as a person, which is very important, and my questions were answered clearly. The entire process from pre-surgery to now has been amazing and I knew exactly what I was getting and what side-effects that could happen. I would wholeheartedly recommend coming here for care. Not only because I have my quality of life back but because nothing was hidden from me through the process.

Eleven years ago Dr. Lopez performed miraculous surgery to repair an aneurysm. I suffered no long term disabilities. Words can't express how very grateful I am. I got to see my babies grow up. Dr. Lopez and his entire staff are fantastic!!! He's operated on my neck (2017) and on my lower back (Dec. 2018) and I am 80% pain free. He gave me a good analogy that everyone should keep in mind about the post-op results/expectations - if you park you car on a garden hose for a few minutes, no big deal, but if you park on it for years it will take longer to spring back, if at all. Your nerves in your spine are kind of the same thing. The longer you put off treatment, the longer it will probably take to resolve. I am 80% pain free for the first time in 10 years. The rest will hopefully come back in the next 6-12 months. We are lucky to have Dr. Lopez here in our town and not somewhere else where he could probably make more money.

Highly recommend Dr. Lopez. Dr. Lopez is the first Doctor that listened to me, all the other Doctors just wanted to give me a bunch of prescriptions. I had nerve impingement in my neck, chronic pain, chronic migraines for years. Dr. Lopez looked at my MRI, did x-rays with motion and found exactly where my pain was coming from. He did cervical fusion and relieved my pain. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, he worked with my insurance, he explained everything to me, answered all my questions.

Dr. Lopez performed a triple cervical fusion on my neck in January 2018. I am very happy with the results. I received kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable care from not only Dr. Lopez but also all of the staff who cared for me. I recommend Dr. Lopez to anyone who is having neck pain and/or arm and hand numbness.

Mr Lopez was very personal with me and made me feel comfortable with the procedure. He even called me at home and on my cell. His nurses were great about getting back with you and also called to check to see how I was doing after the procedure. He was friendly, kind and patience and seemed to honestly care about me as a person. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Thanks so much for the care that you have provided.

Dr. Lopez did my spinal surgery. It did not relieve any of my back pain. It actually increased it. When I tried to tell him I was in excruciating pain I was ignored or was only aloud to talk with his PA Ken. The only thing I was told was the xrays look fine. You are fine. They eventually stopped taking my calls and told me to go see a General Practioner. I would say stay far away from this doctor.

I had an 8 hour surgery with Dr Lopez one year ago that concerned L4,L5,S2 He explained what I should expect in recovery time and rehab... Everything about this surgery went perfect from the surgery to recovery & rehab... It's one year later and I am pain free and my mobility is great. He comes highly recommended.
