"Dr." Stauffer was rude, unprofessional, and ignorant. He does not have the patient's best interest in mind. Could have caused permanent damage to my hand. Violates hipaa and sides with the big corporations and insurance companies over patient needs.

He was very attentive and listened, he was very friendly and professional. I was apprehensive because of the reviews that I read, but I went in with an open mind. He referred me to a hand specialist and Columbus Georgia.

Absolutely the worst doctor. Had to go to deal with a workers comp case earlier in March because I was exposed to vaporous mercury and acid at my place of work (ERA Laboratories Inc.). When I got there they only wanted to test my blood for mercury, which when testing for mercury there should also be a urine analysis and hair samples taken. So they did the bare minimum. Also this workers comp claim was something that was out of my control at work, the gas exhaust tubing to a cold vapor mercury analyzer had broken completely at the machine/tubing junction and was spewing out harmful gases that should have been directed out through a fume hood. Not to mention when I found this leak at work I noticed another site on the tubing (that I was unaware of at the time was a gas exhaust tube due to poor training) was also broken and masked with paper lab tape. So after the doctor does his minimal testing to gets me out of his hair, they requested a drug screen. Now at the time, my understanding was that you can only drug screen someone if you have undeniable evidence that would prove them being under the influence caused this problem in the lab. So at first I denied, not because I couldn’t pass, but because I thought it was my right. No one at the clinic told me that if I refused to take the drug test it would possibly cause my claim to be denied. So about 30 minutes later I get a call telling me to go back to sign off of patient release forms, so I said what the hell and I also took the drug test. I passed the drug test and about a week later my manager Erin Consuegra and boss Joe Freda called me in for a meeting. I was fired and didn’t get the chance to collect workers comp that was owed to me after I was poisoned in their lab after months of me telling them the conditions in the lab were hazardous to my health. The boss Joe Freda, owner of ERA Lab stated that he cancel my passing drug test and used my denied one as cause to fire me. What a scum bag right? And to think this doctor who was very interested in my case could have disclosed proper information to me that would have allowed me to obtain workers comp. To say the least both the doctor and the owner of ERA Lab are complete scum bags. Absolutely the worst doctor.
