Dr. John Francis Tilzey

He was a nice doctor until I had major complications that turned into a disaster three pop outs 4 reconstruction surgeries and has no compassion for people in pain and I am now completely disabled and can never work again and can never walk on the beach, my life is over and i'm only 53 years old....

Total right hip December 21st. Excellent care pre and post. No complications. Everything went smoothly as planned. I highly recommend Dr. Tilley and his caring and efficient staff. You won’t regret it!

I have never meet anyone who cares less about their patients then this guy. I had the displeasure of bring my father in for several follow ups. Aside from being rude he was so arrogant that he ignored all of our questions. He has been zero help in my fathers recovery and is making the process more difficult. If you have a loved one that is seeing him, do not let them go alone to see him, they will need an advocate. It would not be very difficult to find a better Dr. (on a personal note this guy is a big piece of s***) I have never meet anyone who cares less about their patients then this guy. Arrogant abusive. Does not listen. I read his reviews and went to him against my judgment and everybody was right this guy is an absolute idiot don't waste your time

Run not a nice man.

Total hip replacement. Surgery by Dr. Tilzey and his team. My first surgery ever. Excellent care from pre-surgery to rapid recovery. Highly recommended

Excellent caring surgeon. Dr. Tilzey treated me for a foot fracture. He choose conservative treatment and everything healed perfectly. I appreciate that he did not choose surgery as my first option.

My right hip was replaced 3/9/21 by Dr. Tilzey. It was so perfect that i woke up with NO pain, and took no pain medicine following. This was at Lahey Burlington. I am months away from age 90. I am the best example of what this fine doctor accomplishes. His bedside service to me was outstanding and I would highly recommend Dr. Tilzey.

I had a TKR and was in the hospital for 5 days. He never came to see me. He refused pain meds I initially but did relent after I complained to hospital staff. He kept me waiting over 2 hours to have my stitches removed. I was in agony by the time I left my appt and I have no doubt that was what he planned. My knee became infected and I had a pulmonary embolism. I would only recommend him to my worst enemy. He is very arrogant.

THR is a slam dunk procedure right? Took 2 additional surgeries to get it right by a different Dr (1) I sat in a room once waiting for him for 45 mins+ (2) In pre-op room he barely showed his face (3) did anterior approach and lost a ton of blood had 2 transfusions (4) spent 4 days in hospital, he did not come by my room once (5) After surgery I said it was loose, gave me an excuse (6) pain came back but couldn't see me for 3 months (7) new Dr confirmed it was loose

I had a complete hip replacement and I couldn’t have had a better doctor to do it will be going back for the other hip to get done I had my first hip replacement 5 years ago and it’s now pain free and great thanks again see you soon

Dr. Tilzey is incredibly professional and I highly recommend him. He answered each and every question I had about my total hip replacement. He has been honest and up front about every aspect. His staff is very warm and kind. I chose him specifically because he is skilled and professional and highly recommended by other patients, as well as hospital staff. My surgery was 2 years ago and I will recommend him to anyone I know who has a major orthopedic surgery.

Bedside manner is terrible. One of the worst ever. He spent so little time in the room I couldn't even remember what he looked like the next day and spoke to me like I was a bug on his shoe. After surgery he took me off my pain medication less two weeks after bilateral total hip replacement. I'm 29 years old. My quality of life is no better now then it was before surgery because I couldn't complete my physical therapy. Pick a different surgeon.
