Dr Lin is SO nice..was very kind.. and friendly..really takes his time and wants to help you understand whatever issue you have! I had never seen him before and did not know what to expect ..in the first two minutes of time with him I felt so at ease and comfortable.. Highly recommend him to anyone!

Very nice Dr answered all questions

I’ve been with Midwest Orthopedics at Rush (MOR) since the late 1980’s. I met Dr Lin several years ago due to my right foot rolling to the outside of my ankle. I found his friendly and confident attitude very calming. I was imaging the worst case scenario and his suggestions on the options were easy to understand and together we decided on a course of action. I say, ‘we’ because he and I decided on an optimal plan for surgery. I recently had an office visit with him and I found him to be just as kind as when I first met him.

Professional analysis of my ankle problem with two scenarios. First will use a compound to put on ankle with follow up in 4-6 weeks. The second scenario will depend how well the compound fixes problem.

Dr. Lin came to talk to me even though I booked an appointment with their wonderful PA. I knew I was only seeing the PA and Dr. Lin still came by and answered all my questions. I didn't feel rushed at all.

Dr Lin doesn’t spend much time with patients. Post op complications and no support.

Dr. Lin is a professional from the start and is very friendly to talk with. I felt comfortable about the information he gave me and the chance to ask questions.

The best orthopedic ever

This place was unbelievable in terms of efficiency as I literally could not even look at my phone before I was on to the next level of care. I went from admission to radiology to see the Doctor and out the door in 35 minutes. Dr. Lin was amazing and professional as well.

First off, I gave him 5 stars. Read no more if you busy. I came to Dr. Lin for a second opinion. I found him on the Rush website. I was looking for the most qualified for my needs. I felt he was the best qualified. Great bedside manner. Explained what he would do if selected to perform my surgery. Two years later I was finally at a place were I could take no more of the daily discomfort. He conducted an updated assessment. I sent follow up messages about other less invasive procedures I had heard about. He responded within 24 hours and explained why my surgery was not a candidate for that procedure. Surgery went good. Of course I was sore. I'm now 9 weeks post-op and back to my concrete job with my rubber overboots on my work boots. I still have time swelling that I apply ice and elevate for. During all of my follow-up appointments all staff as been super. Just a great atmosphere. P.S. my spouse, a retired nurse says the incision looks great. Thanks Dr. Lin!

Was a great experience. Everyone was so nice.I was happy they had everything in one spot. X-rays, MRI and anything else you need. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Excellent experience with staff , Dr. Lin and appointments ran on time, very well managed office. Asked more questions than any other doctor I've had and gave me options. Very happy.

Dr. Lin, has an amazing bedside manner. After a freak accident that resulted in a broken ankle. He walked me through a thorough explanation about my upcoming surgery. Although I was worried, Dr. Lin assured me that I was in good hands. Three days post surgery, I feel confident that I will continue to heal and eventually walk again.

Dr Lin was very helpful. The advise he gave me, and the metatarsal pads he recommended are working very well so far.

Straight up negligent, best word to describe it. Seems if you bad insurance he doesn’t care about you. I documented ALL of this: Saw many Dr's to figure out an injury; all cared & tried hard to get an answer. Dr. Lin couldn’t care less. Casually gave a diagnosis that 10 others vehemently disagreed w/; offered 0 solutions. Told me "wait it out". *I* suggested treatments I read about, which he shot down. Asked about a new procedure, he agreed to try it (probably bc it's expensive & out of pocket). Does the procedure, THEN asks “where’s your boot?” I said nobody told me I need one in advance. Couldn’t care less; said ask his staff(who had no clue) & walked away. I walked/sat for hours in horrible pain calling a long list & drove 30 miles to get it. Never told me how to care for it; what to do/not do, unless I specifically asked. It made the injury much WORSE. If I didn’t do an obscene amount of research & ask every detailed question, he wouldn’t have told me CRUCIAL information.

2019: I see Dr. Lin for posterior tibialis tendon pain. Seemingly overnight my ankle had gone from a little achy to full-blown stabbing pain with every step. My initial opinion of Dr. Lin was that he was polite, but dismissive. Because of the acute pain, I was worried the tendon had ruptured or torn and wanted an ultrasound, but he insisted it was just plain tendonitis. He gave me a boot and a PT order. Over time it got better, but it was never the same. 2021: I break the same ankle I call his office and they tell me he can't see me for a week, and that I can't see anyone else without his written "consent to discharge" me as a patient. So, I called Northwestern and they got me in the next day, and scheduled surgery immediately. Afterwards, the surgeon noted that my tendon had significant scarring and appeared to be have been torn at one point. I now wonder if Dr. Lin's treatment plan was correct, or if more could have been done to avoid what is now a chronic issue to be managed.

Thorough examination and explanation of findings with recommendations for treatment.

Dr. Lin and his assistant were very helpful, answered all my questions and provided me with hopefully a solution to my ankle problem. I will see him again in 6 to 8 weeks. Also I'm to call the office if I have any questions.

He was phenomenal, very easy to talk to and he explained the procedure and my journey to recovery in a way that was easy to digest.

I'm a nurse and I've had a bunion ever since I could remember. I didn't do anything about it until two weeks ago when Dr. Lin had my bunion corrected. Just two days ago I had a first time look at his work 1.5 weeks after surgery and omg. I only have 7 stitches which are 7 tiny little holes and zero long incisions. I also experienced very mild pain during the first most painful few days of recovery. After the first visit at his clinic after the surgery, Dr. Lin's team said I can wear a shoe after only 4 weeks of surgery. Dr. Lin said 6 weeks initially before surgery until I can wear my normal shoes but since everything is healing so well and fast, it got shortened by two weeks. Took his tine to explain my injury and the various treatment options. He strongly recommended the most conservative course of treatment which ended up being the appropriate one.

He got me on quickly. He was very nice and professional and he took time to answer my questions. My only complaint was that it was difficult to make an appointment, but I don’t blame him. I think I that was an issue with the schedulers at Rush. I definitely would recommend Dr. Lin and his surgical team.

Mediocre. I drove in from Milwaukee. He was recommended by another surgeon at Midwest Ortho that I highly regard. I left feeling less than satisfied. He seemed pretty disinterested. Other than asking where it my feet and ankles hurt he really didn’t touch the points I showed him, didn’t ask me to walk, didn’t show me the X-rays. On the upside, he made a couple of suggestions for an additional insert into my shoes. If I needed surgery, he wouldn’t be the doc I would go to.

On time office visit with Dr Lin last week. He gave a very detailed, easy to understand diagnosis. I have seen him for several years and would highly recommend this office. The scheduling, X-ray, and staff are personable and kind thank you all!

Very clear and forthright

Dr. Lin is very professional and explains in detail what needs to be done. The outcome from the bunion/hammer toe/arthritis surgery exceeded my expectations and I can honestly say that my foot looks beautiful. I am scheduling another appointment for Dr. Lin to do surgery on my left foot.

Dr. Lin did my ankle surgery 9/9/2020. My quality of life was limited. I am so grateful today that I am enjoying my life again without pain. I am forever thankful that this Dr. was able with covid to perform his skills on my ankle. Laura Phelen and Grisell Banducci should also be recognized for their immediate attention for any questions or concerns I had during my recovery. I highly recommend this Dr. and his team. Now, today 1/15/2021, I forget I even had surgery. He gave me my life back. My husband said now he tries to keep up with me walking. Thank you Dr. Lin, I am so excited to welcome spring and get back on my bike.

He was very professional and answered my long list of questions. He is working well with my back surgeon who also is with rush orthopedics. Praying this is the answer to my issue stemming from a poor spine surgery preformed by Hinsdale Orthopedics. Hopefully this foot drop can be fixed and no further injury will occur.

I went to see Dr. Lin because I could no longer handle pain that bunions and hammer toes were causing on both of my feet. I had surgery on my right foot in September, 2019 and could not believe how rapidly it changed the quality of my life. I believe Dr. Lin is an excellent doctor and, therefore, in June, 2020 had surgery on my left foot.

I recently saw Dr. Lin for a chronic ankle problem. His diagnosis was quick and confident, and he took time to explain my injury to me clearly. He laid out my options for treatment, and helped me understand the pros and cons with each. I feel comfortable and confident heading in to surgery with him as my doctor.
