Dr. Jon M Rich

Dr. Rich is an excellent doctor! He really listens and understands. I have been extremely satisfied with both him and his staff. They are all friendly and helpful. Dr. Rich was able to figure out an issue I have had for many years. My previous doctor was a good doctor and I only changed doctors due to him retiring. I don't like to change doctors and I was pleasantly surprised with Dr. Rich and his staff. I am sooo glad to have found such a great doctor and office staff. My prescriptions are always at my pharmacy quickly, and my phone calls have always been answered and returned as needed. I have seen the other reviews and don't know what makes them think he is an arrogant doctor. He is very knowledgeable but, I would in no way consider him arrogant in any way. He is very polite and always listens and takes the time to talk to his patients.

He’s a good dr. Staff was nice enough. Wait time was average. Lab techs were good.

Dr rich and his staff are amazing I wouldn't trust another place with my kids I switched them due to moving realized that was a mistake and that the drive is worth the care they get they took us back no problems no Hassel amazing

The front desk lady is rude and so slow. I had to call multiple times to even get an appointment. And even then she told me the wrong time. The doctor himself isn’t terrible if u get over the fact that he’s arrogant.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Rich for the past 15 years. He is detailed oriented, dedicated to his patients and if he can’t solve the problem, he does not hesitate to refer you to someone else. He has always been straightforward and polite. His staff has been welcoming and helpful with any phone calls I’ve made to his office with answering questions. They also are quick to respond with lab results. If you want a straightforward, detail oriented doctor that tells it like it is, Dr. Rich is the doctor for you. I, personally, do not like things sugar coated and Dr. Rich does not sugar coat even when I don’t like the answers. I highly recommend Dr. Jon Ruch! I’ve always been satisfied with Dr. Rich’s care. He saved my life after we met in ER. I was there with terrible breathing problems from asthma and couldn’t walk or talk because my oxygen level was so bad. He has gotten my health totally under control and has saved my life numerous times while being in hospital with pneumonia. I feel he’s a very caring and articulate doctor who treats you as a person, not just a ’thing’ he has to deal with and get thru the day. He always gets me in to see him ASAP. I love Dr. Rich for saving my life! I’ve recommended him to several friends who also think he’s great. To me: ?? He’s the Best ??

I was a patient of Dr. Rich's for 2-3 years in the early 2010's. He is very knowledgeable, always keeping up with new information. He explains things clearly and seems to have pretty good skills in minor surgery. Unfortunately, even though he's a General Practitioner, he has an ego big enough for a Cardiac Surgeon. I made the mistake of innocently suggesting that his nurse might have failed to tell him something about my care, and he went off on me as if I had just slapped his mother. A short time later he told me that if I wanted to continue seeing him, I had better vote against Obama because if he got re-elected, Dr. Rich would be going "concierge," as he said, only seeing patients who pay cash on the barrel head. After those occurrences, I decided to switch doctors, so I don't know if he made good on his cash-only promise, but I'm guessing not. I think you'll get good medical care from Dr. Rich, if you don't mind putting up with all the baggage.

Yes, I agree--Dr Rich is arrogant! More problems with staff and returned phone call. RX sent to wrong locations. Took 3 weeks for paperwork for PT to be sent to Olympic Center. Surgery was cancelled and almost missed due to lack of communication from Dr.

I went in to see Dr Rich for the first time today and was very satisfied with my experience. I took a very hard fall yesterday and was in excruciating pain. They got me right in. He was very thorough and I loved his bed-side manner. I’m so excited that I have found a new doctor in town. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Rich, his nurse, and office help. All were very polite and helpful.

We highly recommend Dr. Rich. He is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain to his patients. He is thorough, detail oriented, and direct. I wouldn’t trust my family’s health to anyone else. We have never had to wait long to be seen. His staff is kind and friendly and always treat us with respect.

Dr. Rich’s dismissive tone is unacceptable and I have no confidence in his ability to respond to the critical care my husband requires.

My husband had his first visit with this Dr and was treated poorly and offensive. He first acted like my husband was lying about needing testosterone. So he made him stop taking it for a month before he would even think about prescribing it. My husband has been taking testosterone for years. He also made comments of my husband's tattoos looking like jail tattoos and asked if he had been checked for hepatitis and HIV. The tattoos were done in a shop not in jail. My husband also takes Xanax for anxiety and he was told to get up and walk out if that's what he was there for. My daughter and I decided to go ahead for our appointments to give it another try. We got there and apparently my daughters PCP was wrong on her ID card. The lady at front asked me to call and get it corrected right then with Blue Cross Blue Shield and get a reference number. I did so and gave her the reference number. But then the doctor decided he would still not see my daughter which I had talken out of school. I told them just to cancel mine and her appointment and left. My husband being the man he is chose to keep his second appointment. They turned him away saying that because I cancelled mine and my daughter's appointment they cancelled his as well. That's fine I don't want a doctor that treats his patients this way!! This doctor is seriously the most egotistical and arrogant man I've ever met!! Each time I went up there for my son, we would go wait well over a hour, then the doctor would literally come in for 2 min. He blew off everything that I had concerns about. So naturally, I decided to try to switch doctors to another one in the same building. I was swiftly told no. Then, less than a week later, I received a letter telling me this doctor will not longer be seeing my son. Please, if you want your child cared for, DO NOT go to this doctor. Dr. Rich is AMAZING & so is everyone on his team Wendy his reseptionist is the best service I have ever had!!!

I haven't had any issues going here. The appointments are fast and to the point. I can see how that would make some uncomfortable compared to other doctors who longer and play with the kids more, but as long as my kiddos are cared for I don't mind it. Dr Rich makes it easy and we are happy with him.

Best Dr. around. Highly recommended.

Dr Rich is my son's pediatrician and is the very best my son has had. He takes time to listen to what you have to say and is very professional. He goes above and beyond to make sure the patient gets the best care possible. He is very honest and forthright which is something my son and I appreciate and a quality that often lacks in today's Dr's.

Saw Dr. Rich in 2008, as doctor on call when I went to ETMC with COPD Exacerbation. I had multiple ailments, like Asthma, COPD, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Chronic Edema, High B/P. I was in hospital 9 times one year before things turned around. He worked hard to find a maintenance program that worked & I feel like a new person. I can 'always' get in to see him if I call. He knows me well & listens to my concerns. I feel very blessed that he was the doctor On Call in Jan. 2008. He's the best!

Dr. Rich is not my primary care physician. My PC doctor is some distance from me and I had to go to the ETMC hospital in Athens, Tx. Dr Rich was the attending physician the time I was there. He had a number of tests run, found that my blood count was very low, had me receive one unit of blood and recommended that I see a hematologist asap. Dr. Rich demonstrated both his concern and his medical expertise in helping me. It is a privilege to recommend him to our community.

Dr. Rich is great, I've never met a better doctor! He discovered my daughter had an irregular heartbeat (her first visit with him) and checks it every visit since! He's also great with my two boys, very playful with them. There is never a time my kids are sick that he doesn't take them in same day. I switched from Embrys office, best decision made! Anyone leaving a bad review is just made that you didn't get your way.. Dr. Rich and his staff are all very professional, he runs a great practice!

Condescending, doesn’t listen to your concerns or answer your questions. My daughters chronic strep and ear infections should have been caught sooner - as soon as we switched doctors the problem was immediately addressed. Would not recommend him at all.

Does not listen to your concerns. My son has been on the same inhaler for years and he won’t give refills because he wants to charge you an office visit to then refill the same prescription. Smug attitude ,always knows better then you and your opinions don’t matter.

Not concerned with patients as much as covering himself legally. Very unconcerned, orders labs at each visit but never says why, nor does he explain results. Communicates through the clinical team instead of personally. Dr. Rich is knowledgable, but with his experience he should realize that there is a human element in providing care, its not all about whats on the chart.

I have always had an amazing experience with Dr Rich and his staff. They have helped my daughter gain control over her ADHD and she is excelling in school and at home. I recommend them to everyone who is looking for reliable care.

Dr Rich got by blood pressure under control. Would recommend, very professional.

Dr.Rich is a great physician !! When I bring my family in we never have to wait and his staff always gets me in right away when I call. He is very thorough and answers all my questions and concerns when asked. I highly recommend him!

Where do i begin, went to see this Dr. 1/6/16 to met him for the first time, we spoke about 15 minutes, he listen to my heart said I was in A Fib, i question his opinion, he slap me on a ekg machine, that came back normal, the young lady said it was normal, he never came back to speak with me, because I wanted to change Doctor he BANNED me from seeing anyone else in his office I GOT FIRED from the office, if i didn't see him I wasn't permitted to see anyone else in the office period . BIG EGO.

dr, rich has always been easy to see. if we need him on a buzy day he will have time for us. dr. rich found that my husband had type 2 diabetic, and helped him with it a.s.a.p. now my husband blood is staying around 98 to 110. thanks to dr. rich.

Don't go to this doctor! He is lazy and completely disinterested in what you have to say. He will order unnecessary labs taken just a few months ago just to charge your insurance. Very long wait time in exam room.
