Very uncaring. tried telling ME that Basil Ganglia Calcification is normal. there's nothing normal with Calcifications in the basil Ganglia of the brain, when it indicates according to google and the merck manual of fahers syndrome related to parkinson's or Huntington's disease. Great experience, and great bedside manner!

I'd give him zero if I could.

Saw him at the recommendation of my sister and he was very nice, very good and answered all my questions. Surgery went great and I'm pain free now. High recommend.

He is an excellent and very knowledgeable surgeon! He was very honest about the diagnosis.He removed my meningioma from a very tight space without difficulty. I would choose no other neurosurgeon.

Saved my life. Exceptional surgeon. Did all of my craniotomies. Wouldn't want anyone else doing a surgery of my brain but him.

Very friendly staff and no delays. Very confident with UPMC and Dr. Sheehan.

One of worst experiences I have had with a medical professional. His concern for your well being appeared literally non existent I would recommend virtually anyone else before this surgeon. The quality of care you will receive is some of the worst I have ever had. Don’t waste your time or money on this insensitive uncaring doctor for however long he is able to retain those credentials before his incompetence leads to the loss of even that.

Though the Geisinger system should in no way be reflected by the quality of one provider especially this provider.... I would not recommend this doctor to anyone who wishes to deal with a person who spends time to empathize with the the patient, understand the circumstances that bring them to the appointment, or desires that their diagnostic testing be explained in understandable approachable terms... if your health is important to you as it is me. I would say do not put your life in this persons hands. A ten minute appointment where you are rushed to explain who knows how long of history if even allowed the time to do so is what you can expect in addition to disrespect and lack of concern for your health. You deserve more don’t make the mistake I made save your money time and hope for a compassionate thorough doctor who doesn’t bully you out of the office. Take it from me. Dr Sheehan did a fusion of my L5 & L4. He may be an excellent surgeon but he has no bedside manner. No personality. He is a cold duck. My back felt great to begin with after surgery ;however, the pain has returned

Dr Sheehan and Dr Leroy ROCK!! I recently had a cervical laminectomy, and had a tough recovery , but since the surgery, the symptoms that I had prior to it have lessened.

Dr. Sheehan took the time to explain the surgery in great detail. He and his staff are very professional and really seemed to care about me. My surgery went flawless and I am back to work and biking. I am so thankful!!!

Surgery & recovery were quick with little complications. However, he was very dismissive with questions and concerns. He could definitely benefit from taking a few classes/lessons on empathy. A patient is more than just a body. In our case, his talent was far overshadowed by his disagreeable bedside manner.
