I had a total left hip replacement done at the MUVE Center in November 2022. I have no complaints about my experience there. Dr. Garino was excellent! I just saw him yesterday for a follow up appointment, and now I’m scheduled for a right knee replacement in May at the MUVE Center again. I highly recommend Dr. Garino and his team.

Dr. Garino was recommended by my PCP and I am ever so grateful. Upon his recommendation, the surgery for the replacement of my left knee was done at the MUVE Center in West Chester. Not only was my experience at Premier Orthopedics positive (friendly staff, on time appointments, knowledgable personnel), but the program that the MUVE Center offers is fantastic. There were pre-surgery exercise videos, tutorials, and FAQs which were so helpful in preparing for surgery. During my one night stay, I was provided with all the tools to help me recover quickly, including more education, PT, medications, walker & cane, plus great food and comfortable accommodations. After leaving, I was assigned a nurse navigator who is available for questions any time, and will have contact with me up to a year. Three weeks out I am walking without assistance and have most of my mobility back. A totally positive experience. I would recommend Dr. Garino to anyone needing replacement surgery.

He is a very good and skilled doctor. My mother operated on both of their knees at the same time and my mother had no pain and the next day she was able to walk.dr Garino is the best

Dr Garino is the most talented, intelligent orthopedic Dr. He gave me bilateral knee replacements when I was 49 yrs old. I'm almost 68 years old and my knees feel wonderful. Thank you Dr Garino

Dr Garino is so arrogant that after my knee replacement I had nothing but problems for 2-3 yrs. I repeatedly went back to him begging for him to help and he kept telling me that he did a great job, my appliance was where he put it and he never guaranteed I would be without pain. I finally went to another very good joint surgeon and he did a second surgery and it turned out my spacer was to small and it made my joint loose and unstable. I’ll never recommend him to anyone. Dr. Gorino replaced both of my knees on July 26, 2021 in Paoli hospital. He did such a great job that I was walking and doing my physical therapy with no issues. I was doing stairs on week two and back to taking care of my grandkids on the second week after surgery. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND him to anyone who needs their knees replaced. I will continue to go to him should I have any other orthopedic issues.

There should be more stars for Dr. Garino. He helped me so much. There are not enough words.

Dr Garino missed my shredded and torn meniscus while repairing the tibial plateau fracture. Told me for six months my pain would go away as my tibial plateau repair healed but it didn’t. He finally said he’d give me a shot of cortisone which I refused. I wanted to find out the problem so he acquiesced and gave me a script for an MRI. The pain had been the meniscus. Had the second surgery at Rothman! Huge difference in both care and attention.!

Dr. Garino was the surgeon who replaced my right knee about three weeks ago. Healing and after-care, including home PT, were excellent. His office staff, those I saw before and after surgery, were all first-class professionals. They gave me the information and support I needed to make the surgery and recovery a complete success.

Dr Garino did a hip replacement on me three weeks ago. Everyone in his office is professional, efficient and courteous as is he. My Paoli Hospital stay was as good an experience as a hospital can be.

Dr. Garino is an excellent surgeon! He always takes the time to explain what he did and to answer my questions.

Referred to Dr. Garino by my wife's Rheumatologist for my hip after I had a fall on my son's skateboard and a fall jumping at the beach. Ugh! By the time I saw him my hip was getting worse by the day and I could barely walk. Firstly, got into the office before my appointment in their rapid care center. Mary the PA was great. Got me on a steroid and crutches before I saw Dr. Garino. Dr. Garino moved fast and got me scheduled for a full hop replacement. Surgery was quick (about 30 minutes) and incision was small. I was standing the same day and check out of Paoli hospital that night. Had some issues with my spinal block, but my leg did great. Exponential improvement on a daily basis. Off my restrictions at 3 weeks and while I'm still building my cardio and strength back, my only pain has been at the incision. Walking great and now getting through rehab to get back to walking and riding my bike. Staff at the office was great.

Great surgeon- did not push me to have a hip replacement but it went great and i am thrilled. I too didn't like waiting almost an hour for a 4 minute visit, so next time, telehealth visit. He seems to be caring, but gets frantic when he is so behind. Receptionists are understanding. Too bad he gets so overbooked,,

Dr. G diagnosed quickly, where other docs wasted time saying condition was this, that and the other.

Dr.Garino was extremely knowledgeable. He listened to me and went above and beyond to help me with my injury. I cannot speak highly enough of him.

Dr. Garino came highly recommended by my PCP, and true to her word he was fantastic. I had been having a persistent hip issue and had bounced around different specialists. He cut to the chase and told me because of osteoarthritis I needed a full hip replacement. The surgery was smooth and I have quickly recovered with no issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Garino for anyone requiring hip surgery; he is personable, knowledgeable and definitely an expert in his field.

My full hip replacement surgery was very successful, with very little post operative pain. Dr. Garino and his the surgical staff at Paoli Hospital took great care of me and I'm very happy with the results

Dr Garino did bilateral knee replacement surgery on me last year. I have absolutely no pain in my knees anymore. I can regularly walk 3 miles now without being in pain or exhausted. I have recommended him to several friends who have needed knee surgery. The whole process from pre surgery to post surgery was well done. I went home after 3 days, I was using a cane by week 3, driving my car by week 4 and back at my job by week 5. The best decision I made was to have both my knees replaced at the same time by Dr Garino.

Dr. Garino performed a hip replacement. Great bedside manner and spends time answering every question/concern. Procedure is very smooth with quick recovery.

I just had a hip replacement done by Dr. Garino. I am 3 weeks post surgery and feeling great. No complications at all. He did an awesome job throughout the whole process. He and his team explained everything along the way and I was never nervous or concerned. I would definitely recommend him.

I had three different procedures in a period four months this year with Premier Orthopaedics. Meniscus surgery with Dr. David Raab. Back pain injection with Dr. Michael Lee. And total hip replacement with Dr. Jonathan Garino. Each physician seemed to be working together to get me pain free with their own high level of expertise. They have succeeded. Each of these doctors made sure they connected with me on the problem to get to a successful end result. Between all three procedures (as well as a bicep repair with Dr. Raab a few years ago), I only needed medication for pain the day after the surgery. The medical and support staff for Premier Orthopaedics is the best I have ever experienced.

It has been a little more than a year since I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Garino. After looking at an xray of the hip, he told me he didn't know how I was able to walk and recommended the surgery. I had been in a car accident 7 years earlier and other medical practitioners just attributed my pain and difficulty walking to arthritis. I am so thankful to have had the surgery done. I can walk without pain and that is so critical to functioning well in all aspects of life. Dr. Garino is a "high energy" doctor who doesn't spend a lot of time during office visits. The support staff are very helpful in all ways and take a lot of time pre-op and post-op.

no bedside manner, but a hell of a surgeon. Dr. M. stienburg did my first, and after it simply wore out, jonathan did the secon. i am still walking because of him.

First of all I want everyone to know I am an RN. As any RN will tell you, it takes a lot to impress us, especially in the medical field. So when I tell you that Dr. Garino is one of the best orthopedic surgeons, that means a lot. He did bilateral knee replacements on me 2 months ago. One of my legs was very damaged due to a fracture 13 years ago that was never treated correctly. Dr. Garino needed to rebuild that bone first and did an incredible job. I then returned to him to repair a tendon, once again I can’t speak highly enough of the job he did. He is also a nice guy with a wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Garino is one of the most brilliant surgeons in the country. He performed knee replacement surgery on both of my parents and a hip replacement on my mother. Both have recovered fantastic. He also operated on my secretary and she had fabulous results. When I tore my meniscus and bruised my femur he recommended waiting on surgery and I healed 100% without surgery. Very straight forward and a great outcome. In the hospital in the morning and out the next afternoon. Recovery physical therapy moved ahead of schedule with no issues and back to full flexibility and painless movement within 6 weeks. At 3 months everything looks perfect and feels fine.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Garino. He was the first orthopedic that sat down with me and reviewed my xrays and told me I was ready for total knee replacement. I had been in pain for years and had difficulty walking. He and his staff are so helpful, professional and available. From presurgical classes, pre-therapy, testing and educational materials, I was ready to go. Surgery and recovery went smoothly. Did my therapy and I can walk pain free! Will gladly have Dr. Garino do my other knee in a few years.

I have now had two replacements by Dr. Garino left knee in 2018 and right hip 2020. After many years of pain, arthritis, and inflammation, I am now pain free. Dr. Garino was and has been fantastic from beginning to end. His experience as a surgeon is very impressive.

I was told my knee problem was arthritis...Dr. Garino confirmed - no arthritis whatsoever in knees, but in fact - petellafemoral syndrome. Prescribed anti-inflammatory med - one per day for 30 days. No shots or eventually surgery like a doc at Rothman said. First time I had relief in years. All docs at Premier aren’t his quality, though. Make sure at your first visit - That the doc answers all your questions before vanishing out of the room...Does not return and sends his PE in to answer any additional questions. The PE just leaves the room to ask doc questions for you and then returns with his answers. She doesn’t appear very certain herself. If this happens in your first visit...It’s gonna happen in subsequent visits. If that happens - Go to Rothman. Dr. Garino, though, won’t do what I described above. Make sure doc answers all questions and reviews MRI reports, etc. with you before doc vanishes. Rothman and Premier both have excellent AND mediocre docs. Choose wisely.

He is a talented physician

Dr Garino is very professional, was astute in assessing my need for hip replacement, answered all my questions thoroughly. Listen to what this team tells you to do regarding your hip replacement and, like me, you will go from being in pain 24/7 to once again living a normal, pain free life.

Dr. Garino recommended for my situation simultaneous bilateral knee replacements. I had been suffering for 7 years, treating with injections and it was finally time to get the new knees I needed. Surgery is a team effort, and Dr. Garino and his team did a fantastic job ensuring the best possible outcome. As the patient I did pre-op PT, felt prepared pre- and post-op by the education materials provided, advocated for myself, asked questions and had great support. The results have been terrific, and I am grateful to have access to this skilled surgeon.

My experience with Dr. Garino was exceptional! Over the years I have had numerous joint replacements, and hands-down, my experience with him has been the best. Other surgeons were very good, but his procedure was the most impressive. I was walking virtually pain-free the very same day of surgery! I found him to be attentive yet witty, answering every one of my concerns! I would recommend him to anyone in need of joint pain relief!

Dr. Garino did my knee replacement, my second surgery on that knee and my fourth knee surgery overall. I experienced minimal post-op pain and swelling and at just shy of three weeks later I feel like I'm recovering exceptionally well. This has been by far the best surgical experience I've ever had.

Dr. Garino didn’t listen to me at all. He took one look at my x-ray and diagnosed me with a diagnosis that turned out to be completely wrong. He dismissed my questions and symptoms, was in the office with me for maybe 3 minutes. Didn’t even look at my actual knee.

Seeing Dr Garino was a terrible experience. I've never been to a doctor that was so blatantly not at all interested in what i wanted to say or ask. He rushed thru and barely allowed me to ask questions. I do not recommend him if you want someone who will care, listen and help you understand.

My experience with Dr Garino was similar to the other reviews expressed here on Google. He seemed to have high reviews on some websites but I did not have a very positive experience. Like others I went in after being referred to see an ortho for long term chronic hip pain. I discussed my situation with the resident? and then was sent for xrays. Dr. Garino spoke quickly and spent maybe 5 minutes with me. Nothing on xrays, recommended MRI but then after quickly manipulating my hip said he didn't think I had what he was sending me to get an MRI for? The whole situation was confusing and some other things were said that made me feel like I was crazy for feeling the pain I am. I am now scheduled for another orthopedist for a second opinion. I have also in the meantime have seen a chiropractor and started with a physical therapist who both have said there is definitely something wrong with my hip and were able to show issues with some simple checks. Dr. Garino is a surgeon with great confidence, and he was just the type of doctor I wanted to handle my double hip replacement

I have been extremely pleased with the care I’ve received from Dr. Jonathan Garino and his staff at Premier Orthopaedics. Most recently, Dr. Garino performed a total replacement of my knee with excellent results. The joint pain I lived with due to severe arthritis for many years is gone, and three months later I’m on my way toward enjoying my favorite outdoor activities again. I highly recommend Dr. Garino to anyone who has suffered a joint injury or is seeking relief from chronic pain.

Dr Garino did my hip replacement surgery. I had absolutely zero pain after the surgery - only minor soreness on my surgical side. I took zero narcotics and used only ice & NSAIDs. I have a very small, flat incision scar and was back to my normal routine within 3weeks. (walking, driving, working) Dr Garino and his staff totally exceeded my expectations. It is so wonderful to be pain-free for the first time in YEARS!!

This was my fourth knee replacement (2 on each knee) and I can honestly say that this revision by Dr Garino was the best, best one yet! He is very experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate and understanding. My recovery was quick and I’m so much further along than the other three. Not only is Dr Garino very professional, his entire staff is also so; from the office staff to the surgical team to the hospital staff and most pleasant.

He is informative and caring with a sense of humor

I would recommend Dr Garino with no reservations. He is a very skilled surgeon and knowledgeable doctor. He replaced both my hips at the same time over a year ago and the results were wonderful and life changing.

Since 1969 I've had six knee operations, three on each leg, two of which were done the old fashioned way. I know what recovery is all about and the unknowns of the entire process. Three weeks ago Dr Garino did bi-lateral knee replacement using Smith & Nephew Journey II. From pre-op PT and doctor approvals to post-op PT the entire process was clearly explained and professionally coordinated. Pain management made the two-at-a-time event tolerable. Attention from the whole team was reassuring.

Dr. Garino is excellent! I had been to two other doctors before finding Dr. Garino. I found Dr. Garino very through, answering all my questions. I had a total knee replacement. I had very minor discomfort and you can’t even see the incision ! I would highly recommend Dr. Garino.

Hard to believe that a double knee replacement would make me feel like I am twenty again, but it did. Dr. Garino is highly skilled and as a result my recovery was easy and uneventful. I am grateful to this entire office for making everything go smoothly.

Great bedside manners, listens to you and expands everything

I had a minor surgery that got infected. Follow up was horrible, 11 days in the hospital missed 65 days of work. Dr. Garino and the Exton office did not check on me when I was in the hospital they just kicked the can down the road at my expense( 3 of same procedures, 3 different doctors). My knee needs replaced ( opinion of 3 different doctors)but Dr. Garino says it will be fine in year. Its been a year and a nightmare!

Bad experience. I brought in mri’s and a report from a specialist. When he came in he hadn’t even looked at them. He only read the radiologist report from 2015. I had to insist that he look at the mri’s and read the specialists report. Even then he only skimmed it and missed important information. He did not even examine me. I had to ask for an updated mri as my pain has worsened over time. I left speechless. I was very upset at the end of this visit. Bad experience. I brought in mri’s and a report from a specialist. Dr Garino was a pleasure to see. Warm welcoming and extremely helpful in my recovery process.

Dr. Garino and staff got my daughter in quickly, got her pre certification for her MRI within an hour and she had her MRI the next day and a follow up in 3 days. That helped relieve a lot of stress waiting on results. Highly recommended!

Dr. Garino performed the surgery on my knee replacement originally in 2002 I saw him recently because of trouble in that leg which thank heavens was not related to the knee replacement but I found him to be personable and as professional as originally I found him he is an excellent doctor I recommend him highly.
