Dr. Ohenhen actually cares about his patients. He takes the time to actually talk to you, which most doctors don’t do any more. There’s no rushing you in and out as quickly as possible just so he can make more profit. The nursing staf, as well as all of the front staff are very friendly. He is the best DR I’ve ever been to. He is also very concerned about your well being when seeing you. I would recommend him to all my family & friends. Oh plus all the nursing stuff is out of this world!!!

This isn't as much about Dr. Ohenhen specifically, but it is about his billing manager and billing company (which he employs and should oversee a little closer). I had originally posted another review, this is a condensed, updated version. I was seen 20 months ago for a sinus infection. The billing office never filed with my insurance properly and never followed up. They just kept sending me a bill for $95. I've left voicemails with the billing manager, Becky, about 10 different times over the course of these 20 months, and I have yet to hear from her. I was able to get the billing office to refile claim, only after BCBS contacted them and told them to. The employees are instructed to collect patient balances, and that is great, but there are obviously no notes put into anyone's account to reflect what has been done on a claim or notes on what any of the doctors/staff have talked to a patient about. It is not really an ideal situation, because, when you are sick, you are not at your best. Charging co-pays before demanding more money from patients only adds fuel to that frustration. A little more communication, effort, and compassion for patients is needed here. I have been seeing Dr. Ohenhen for years. He truly cares about his patients and has the knowledge to help them feel well again. I never have to wait long in his office or for necessary referrals. The ladies in the front are caring and considerate. His nurse, Payden, is amazing! She goes above and beyond for her patients.

I was seen at ArbuckleMED Urgent Care on 4/2/18 and paid my $30 Copay at the visit. There has never been a claim accepted by my insurance. The billing company has been sending me bills for $95 sporadically for the past 20 months. When I try to inquire, the billing company and office staff say, "we billed your insurance, and this is the remaining portion.” I have gone above/beyond trying to reach their local billing person (Becky). She does not return calls, answer her phone, and her “inbox” is always full. On October 9, 2018, I spoke with Dr. Ohenhen in person. He called the billing office, and they were supposed to look into the issue. He told me not to pay it. My insurance later reported the billing office was asked to resubmit with additional documentation and never did so. They stated they would resubmit with the proper information. I went in on 12/31/19 and paid my $30 Copay. They then informed me I would not be seen unless I paid half of the $95.

There is no record of this with my insurance and no EOB as to corroborate this. I have gone above and beyond trying to get in contact with their local billing person - "Becky." Becky does not return phone calls or answer her phone. I did go in in person on October 9, 2018 and talked to Dr. Ohenhen. He called the billing office and inquired, and they were supposed to find out what happened with the billing and what they could do to remedy the issue. He told me not to pay it because the insurance should cover it. I also got in touch with my insurance this past year, and the woman I talked to spoke with Oklahoma BCBS (I have BCBS NC) and OK BCBCS talked to Dr. Ohenhen's billing company. When they filed with OK BCBS, they were asked to resubmit with additional documentation and never did so. They stated they would resubmit with the proper information so that it would get sent on to BCBS NC. There are no notes on file with the doctor's office or billing company regarding any attempts I have made to remedy the situation or that the Dr told me not to pay it. I went in today and paid my $30 Copay. They then informed me I would not be seen unless I paid half of the $95 on my account. They again stated they billed my insurance, and this is what I owe despite there being no EOB at any point in time for this DOS to corroborate that. This is a small town. This doctor is notorious for not billing patient insurance, improper coding, and losing his contracts with his insurance companies. This is the only Urgent Care in our small county, and Dr. Ohenhen is taking advantage of the people of this community. The office staff (2 women and a nurse practitioner perhaps were in the office today 12/31/19) stated they are not responsible because they have nothing to do with the billing. Conveniently, Dr. Ohenhen and Becky both are never available by phone and never able to return calls. Also, the inbox is always "full" when you try to leave a voicemail. They give patients no options, while everyone is denying any culpability in the matter. I'm not sure why they are unable to bill this visit when they have billed our insurance 3-4 times over the past two years for my husband and son. If the staff was more solution oriented when there is a major issue instead of giving patients memorized lip service, it would not be so bad. There is just no effort on the part of staff to help patients and no communication between Dr. Ohenhen, the office staff, Becky, and the billing office. If there were, they would return phone calls and put notes into patient accounts based on patient calls and face to face interactions.

I was a patient for a few years there, in the beginning he was fantastic, as time progressed my health started deterating, physically and mentally. Dr. O, thought I was searching for pills which i was not. I moved out of state and had 9 strokes, 7 TIA's, 1 Heart Attack, 1 Mini Heart Attack and 4 seizures, i lost a lot of memory, the use of my left side and lots more damage. I loved this doctor until then. The other thing is I was genetically tested for Cancer which came back possitive for several strains, he never recheched me I have had several extreme rounds of Radiation and I am currently suffering from cancer in which could have been controlled if it was monitored. i think hes wonderful doctor.. he do great job. i am happy i went to see him he do referral so fast . you all go see him hes great!!!

I'm writing this review for my mother in law Cheryl Ketchum....this doctor is a "miracle worker" he cleared up a serious medical condition other doctors couldn't. I would recommend this doctor to anybody looking for high quality care with a good bedside manner.
