I have used Dr Chanda as my primary dermatologist ever since a friend died of Melanoma because she kept putting off getting her thing looked at, 15 years ago. He doesn't have a very good bedside manner (very focused on skin, not chatty at all). But he can quickly scan your body and take care of what needs to be taken care of. Have had several in-office procedures done (including stitches) and all went well. Stitching invisible after completely healed. Would trust his advice and expertise. Plan for some office waiting time, but it seems recently he has gotten a little better at not overscheduling.

I’ve had this rash on my left calf for years and I was constantly mis diagnosed from dermatologist and primary physicians. Dr Chanda took one look at it and prescribed me pills and a cream. Poof!! All gone! I wanted to kiss him??

Lovely staff. Wonderful DR. I am always treated like my life matters. He looks for skin cancers and does his job! I highly recommend Dr. Chanda. He's no newbie and knows his stuff, just talk to him, show him your concerns, and he will find other concerns on his own as well. PS get your skin checked.

This guy has no humility. He butchered my moms hair to try and remove something from her head. She was so humiluated from how much hair was removed she left crying. He dissmissed her instead of consoling her and didnt even remove what she went in for.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life! Totally no regards to a sensitive situation to begin with. I went to see Dr. Chandra even though I wasn't happy the first time I saw him for a similar reason. I was treated and was told that everything was removed, when if fact, it wasn't. He treated me very poorly and has absolutely no bedside manner. Most of his patients are elderly and treats them like they have don't have all their facilities from what another reviewer mentioned. I do not recommend this doctor if you're looking for a compassionate doctor. Look somewhere else. I have never been treated so poorly in my life! I have been seeing Dr. Chanda for years. He is the best Dermatologist I have ever been to. His knowledge base is superior to any other doctor I have ever been to,,,

Dr. Chanda did surgery on my upper mid back, the stitches ripped out, infection set in, he was unavailable for the entire week! His assistant is not certified to replace stitches so I have been left with a gaping two inch hole that is extremely painful. I went the next day to a walk-in Urgent care, but because by then 24 hours had past, that doctor said he “Couldn’t do anything, and even if he could, doctors don’t like to touch another doctor’s work”. ?? I am switching to a doctor who has a qualified P.A. who will be available when the doctor is not.

Long waits. Feel like a number not a person. Dr Chanda chooses to make elderly patients come back the next day to close incisions. My 90plus year old parent had to return 5 days in a row, some days 3-4 times in a single day to remove 2 lesions. No compassion. Bottom line - $$$$.

Great office staff and Dr

Went in for a skin cancer screening. Took about 45 minutes. Pretty standard.

Got me in very quickly. My portion was significantly more than I expected - worked with me on a payment plan. Very nice office. Friendly staff. Very quick. Not a lot of waiting - both in the waiting room and in the exam room. Professional and experienced Dr. strongly recommend.

After seeing two other dermatologist's without success, my doctor plus family members told me to see Dr. Chanda. He is the only one who has helped my condition and really cares about a patient. He takes time to answer questions and makes sure you understand.

The best doctor I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and amazing at what he does. I have had quite a few skin cancers and he truly cares not only about getting rid of the cancer, but also being the most careful about leaving the most minimal scar he can. He is an artist at what he does.

Five stars isn't enough. He's super.

Dr. Chanda is the best doctor I have ever been too. He truly knows my skin and has done numerous surgeries on me. The scars are very minimal and his skill is amazing. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Chanda to everyone.

I have been going to Dr. Chanda off and on for at least two decades. yes there are a lot of people in that waiting room and sometimes you are waiting for a while but it must be because he's doing something right or why else would there be so many people. my experiences from the beginning to the end have always been very pleasant with his staff. they have always been friendly to me and treated me well. as far as Dr. Chanda himself I feel like he really knows his stuff and I have felt very comfortable with him and trust him and that is why I have scheduled a visit with him for later on this week. I don't always require a dermatologist regularly but when I do he is my go to man. My friend who is 100 yrs old and fully competent has seen this doctor 3 times. She says he spends do little time with her that she would not know him if she ran into him. Also the doctor never speaks to her. She just had a 3rd treatment for the same condition.

i don't know what is up with these negative reviewers! i've been going to dr. chanda for nearly a decade. i have never found his staff to be rude. dr. chanda is an excellent care provider, experienced, knowledgable, and it seems to me, a gentle and caring person.

excellent experience. You will always see Dr. Chandra. His staff is friendly and you get a response to a biopsy on the same day not 2 weeks later. No nonsense with a PA saying "Use this expensive cream for several weeks and come back to see if your cancer is responding. Long wait, not courteous office staff.

Lots of complaints of long waits and rude staff.We had a long wait for the first appointment but after that no problems. As for the rude staff I don't know where they are getting that from we found the staff very friendly. As for doctor Chandra he is usually all business but is a excellent doc. We will continue here for sure.

I have had many positive experiences with Dr. Chanda. He is the only dermatologist I have seen since moving to Melbourne/Palm Bay FL in 1999. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. His staff is very pleasant and efficient. His office is easy to find. He is very approachable. I highly recommend Joseph Chanda for dermatology (skin) issues
