In 2004 I was 5 months pregnant when my appendix ruptured. I was extremely toxic with bile and had never felt worse in my life or since then. Dr. Digby performed my emergency surgery and took great care of me while in the hospital. I was given a 50/50 chance that my baby would survive because of all the trauma and somehow he managed to work around my little boy and he survived it all. I was told he was going to weigh 3 pounds at birth but he arrived into this world at 7 pounds 1 ounce and has not had any problems with his health. Dr. Digby is a man of great patience and understanding hands down because I was a very ill patient with no tolerance to pain or any kind of sickness & im sure I wasn’t very pleasant to be around. With that being said I’m sure he will never forget me lol. Also, I had to be admitted 3 more times after my initial release from surgery due to complications (not caused by the doctor) and he took awesome care of me throughout my illness. I am recommending Dr. Digby to anyone who needs care in his expertise. He is the greatest doctor anyone would ever want.

Dr. Digby is very caring and was attentive with my concerns during my consultation and before surgery. I definitely recommend him if surgery is needed!

Dr. Digby is the #1 surgeon in Elizabethton/Carter County. His bed side manner and one on one care he gives his patients is better than any I've seen. I put my trust in his knowledge and experience. He's a kind, compassionate physician who listens, explains and truly cares about his patients. He's a great listener, one who makes sure you understand everything before he proceeds. I would recommend him hands down above all others.

Excellent surgeon. Performed colon surgery on Nov 14, 2016. Could not have gotten a better surgeon as I was surprise at how fast I have recovered. Highly recommend to anyone!!!!

i wouldnt recmommned any other general surgeon this man saved my life and i truest him and his staff to all my family and friends
