Mrs. Kamini Shyam Chari

I have been Dr Chari's patient for 3 years and each visit was good. I am surprised by reviews saying Dr Chari is "uncaring". I suspect it comes from her office being understaffed. The wait time is often 30-45 min after the appointment time which is annoying but not a deal breaker. For each issue I have had, Dr Chari listened, asked questions about what I have already tried or other conditions, and either prescribed medicine or let me know if there was over the counter medicine she recommended (e.g. steroid for a new case of eczema between fingers, but first recommending I try OTC anti-fungal oil for 2 weeks to rule that out first and also told me to use less hand sanitizer). She considers multiple causes, which I appreciate. Her advice is practical and has helped me each time. If you look up your own symptoms, she will ask question to rule out other things but she won't be rude about you trying to diagnose yourself. She's a good, qualified, kind doctor. Busy, but not rude.

I've been going here for quite a number of years when my insurance decided to give her to me . Uncaring and rude physician. I cannot recommend this office.

I went to see Dr. Chari Kamini 3 times my experience with her been bad she makes me wait almost an hour.. she's rude and it seems like she can't get you out off her office fast enough.. Receptionist is nice but the doctor herself has terrible bedside manner, is rude and makes you jump through hoops to provide any support for your requests. She seems to only care about bringing you multiple times to get paid from the insurance and get more out of you. Will not be seeing her again.

Terrible doctor! Doesn't easily comply with simple requests and makes you jump through hoops to get anything. Not very friendly either or seem to care about patient's well-being.

i had been calling and always is busy or the mail voice is full most of the time. How take care of her patients? just in her hours? The staff are not professional at all, scare they handle my personal information.

My introduction to this doctor was getting there at 9 a.m.for my 9 a.m. appointment and waiting until 10:30 a.m. when someone finally showed up to unlock the office door. My mom was looking for a new doctor and I recommended Dr. Chari based on most of these google reviews. Unfortunately, we were very dissatisfied with her bedside manner. To start, she did not look at my mother when greeting her, which is basic. She even scolded my mom for changing doctors. More importantly, when I was trying to translate to my mom what she was saying, she kept interrupting and talking over us. That was frustrating and confusing for me. The whole time she seemed upset, annoyed, and rushed which made her come across as very rude. She did give my mom an XRay order, which is what we needed. We will see her again for the results, but after that I will ask my mom to look for another doctor, if her attitude remains the same. Based on that first appointment, my mother deserves much better (Unfortunately, my mom has a terrible insurance). I STRONGLY, STRONGLY recommend that we all meet the doctor before changing over. After all, we are giving them our business and deserve good, not even great, customer service. One more thing, the front staff have a very positive and pleasant attitude. I am posting a review with a new opinion of this Doctor and staff. I was misinformed by my insurance and I took it out on the staff and Doctor by writting a bad review. Since then they have been very good to me and very helpful. I would definitely recommend them in the future.

Dr. Chari may be a good doctor but her policies regarding new patients are very poor. They are also not in accord with the policies quoted by Blue Shield, Inc. When people are seriously concerned about their health Dr. Kamini's staff refuses to set any appointments even when presented with a letter from Blue Shield authorizing this person for treatment. Further, they are totally unresponsive to the patient's needs.

Dr.Chari is very kind . She explains everything in detail and answers all my questions in great detail. Her staff is very friendly and nice .I have a lot of trust in the doctor and her staff.

I started seeing Dr Chari when I was scheduled for heart bypass surgery many years ago and I have been with her ever since. I am extremely pleased with her services and am thankful I was referred to her .I have always been able to get an appointment when I need one . Although she is busy i have never seen her hurry me thru .Her care is superior.

Dr Chari thinks outside the box and gets to the bottom and top of my needs .

I was concerned about my blood pressure being too high .My doctor assured me and advised me what I should do to keep it under control.

Dr. Chari should hang up her stethoscope! Rude, disrespectful and cold-hearted are her specialities. Find a Dr. who cares and doesn't wear a respirator mask when she examines you.

I have been a long time patient of Dr. Chari’s and I’ve always had a positive experience. She is very competent, accommodating, and most importantly -- takes the time to address my concerns. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

When Dr Chari walked in the exam room she didn't look at me or say hello. It was clear from the get go that she did not have time for me and she didn't care about me. When she would ask me a question, I would start to answer and she would cut me off. I only came to her to be referred to an Ob/Gyn but she acted like she didn't want to refer me, she wanted to take care of the issue in her office. I had just had a baby and needed to see an Ob. She asked why I didn't see the Ob that delivered my baby and I told her I had a home birth with a midwife. She acted like I had just tried to chop her head off. She was so offended by my audacity to have my child at home, which is actually none of her business. Her tone was so rude and condescending that eventually I just shut down, counting down the seconds til I didn't have to be in her bitchy presence anymore. She ordered a test and discovered I had an infection. She prescribed me an antibiotic and said if that didn't fix the problem she would refer me to an Ob, and said "but I only just started accepting Medi-Cal patients and it will be very hard to find an Ob who will accept your, so-called, "insurance," so don't get your hopes up." She literally made the little quotation marks with her fingers when she said insurance. Why does she accept Medi-Cal if she doesn't believe it is legitimate insurance? And why the hell would you tell your patient that? Doesn't she WANT my business? Well, I will never set foot in her office again. She definitely looked down on me for having Medi-Call and she obviously thought it was ok to let me know that. How can you possibly think that is ok? It is unprofessional, rude, and plain hurtful.
