Dr Karen Franks is very brash and doesn’t care to treat a patient. She will give you the third degree in front of your child, which is unacceptable. This was my first and last visit with her and my last visit to the Rabun North facility.

I have only seen Dr Frank once, as she is not my primary dr but was the only one with an opening this afternoon. She was not very professional. I was seeing her following a sinus and ear infection, which I got an antibiotic for over a telemed appt since I got sick during the weekend. I’ve had a constant nagging dry cough for days and keeps me up a lot through the night and continues through most of the morning. After telling her why I was there she kept asking questions like “how did you get an antibiotic if you haven’t seen anyone.” We’ll, I talked to a dr over the phone which they do now and told him my symptoms just like I was telling her and they decided it sounded like a sinus infection and prescribed an antibiotic. Then she asked me, “then why are you here?” We’ll, because this is my normal dr office and I’d like to get something to help with my cough since what I’ve tried over the counter isn’t working completely. She said, “why didn’t you get a cough medicine from the other dr?” He didn’t prescribe one and I didn’t ask for one. The cough wasn’t even that bad until my sinuses were dried and not as stuffy. Then she said “well what is it you want.” You’re the dr, I have a cough that is driving me crazy and I’d like relief. She said things and I didn’t even know how to take it or how to respond. She made me feel like I was there for a reason other than being sick. I’m sure you see it a lot but not every patient is there to abuse the system or get whatever drugs they can possibly get. I usually don't even go to a dr when I get sick, it now that I have insurance I decided to go. The way she acted makes me never want to go to the dr again, or at least not at that office. Why give a patient the third degree in front of her 7 year olds son? Act professionally. You lost a patient if you even care.

She has been my doctor for years. She always takes her time yo listen to want is going on and she follows up to make sure the treatment is working i would recommend her to everyone.

I was one who didn't think hypnotherapy could help me at such a crucial time in my life..... Wow.....was I wrong! Dr. Karen Frank is a true professional, very caring and extremely knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor, and don't miss an opportunity to meet her and experience the science of hypnotherapy through her expertise.
