Ms. Kathleen Grace Mckinney

Kathleen is very friendly. However, she is not great with communication. She cancelled two sessions on me and I only found out after calling multiple times. In addition, when I called to cancel a session and reschedule, she never called me back until a week later stating that that's when our session was. In addition, I often felt like she dismissed some of what I was feeling due to COVID. In many of our sessions she would say "well maybe you have this, have you heard of it?" Which didn't make sense to me. We would never revisit those topics in later sessions, even if they seemed like possible diagnoses.

Kathleen is a straightforward therapist. She does not beat around the bush and will press you on issues (which may not be a good fit for people who like to stay stuck, explore feelings for months and months, or need a lot of hand holding). She is professional and knowledgeable. She has a great deal of experience and it is demonstrated. If you are motivated to improve yourself and your well-being, are not afraid of having a therapist who is also motivated to build a better "you" and support you through whatever your individual or relationship challenges are, then she is a true asset.
