Dr. Philina Lamb

Dr. Lamb is knowledgable, detailed, and has a great bedside manner. She reviewed my history before coming in the room. She had clear directions in what needed to be done. She took the time to discuss various preventative solutions. It took a while to get my initial appointment because I was changing doctors from someone in Sacramento. She is worth the wait!

I had Dr. Lamb for several years and was so bummed when Western Health Advantage no longer contracted with UCD. She’s great, knowledgeable and doesn’t waste your time on medications that are not beneficial to treating the issue. UCD C Street is a teaching site and even so, I valued the time with her because she got straight to the point. I received so many compliments about my skin while under her care. In fact I searched her name randomly today just to see if she happened to be with another medical group for a glimmer of hope that Mercy would approve a referral. It took forever to schedule an appointment. Her office canceled the original appointment and booked me out again. When I finally went to see her she was rushed, didn’t explain anything well and made me feel like I was wasting her time when in fact she completely wasted my time. I now need to find someone else to help me.

Did not even look at growths on my side and back. Determined that they were non-cancerous simply by glancing across the room at the one on my neck. She was my father's dermatologist. She seems nice, but is very eager to prescribe antibiotics for issues which is something we try to avoid if possible. She always seems a bit rushed as well.

I always feel like she cares about my health and does a great job. She has been great taking care of me and my family. I highly recommend her.

Continually cancels appt - very unprofessional

I went to Dr Lamb for well over 5 years(closer to 10). I eventually changed doctors out of extreme frustration . Appointments felt very rushed, with her often not giving more than an extremely curt explication(or virtually none at all) about why she would put me or not put me on a certain medication. I have been a patient of Dr. Lamb's for several years. She provides me with excellent care and always takes time to talk with me and answer any questions that I might have. I would (and have) highly recommend her to family and friends.

I recently made the decision to switch to another doctor after having continued poor and exceedingly frustrating experiences with Dr. Lamb. She hurries through appointments and doesn't seem invested in my care- often not fully explaining why she decided to put me on or not put me on a specific medication and doesn't fully answer and respond to questions I have. Her communication is also very poor, taking a long time to respond to messages. However, her staff are great and are invested in care.

Great care and very thorough. Remove the cancer off my arm completely. No pain. Highly recommend.

She removed my daughters wart on her nose. She was very sensitive to her needs and explained the procedure throughly. Highly recommend.
