Dr. Kathleen M. Weber

I was very luckily able to get in very quickly to see Dr Weber after having to go to the emergency room for pain and she was able to get an X-ray right away and explain to me some of why I was in pain. She ordered an MRI and I was able to get that right away. However, then I didn’t hear back from her explaining the results, rather her assistant called. She said I needed to see a pain management, a PMandR doctor for the pain. I have an appointment for over a month from now. I don’t have a follow up appointment with Dr Weber and feel like was little medical follow up provided.

Easily identified my knee and elbow issues. Dr. Weber is wonderful

Listens well. Very knowledgable. Explains well. Procedure techinique is top drawer - my knee injections are not painful because she is really good at it. Highly recommend!

Dr Weber is the best. She has guided me thru 3 surgeries successfully and over a dozen back procedures. Without her, I would not be walking let alone still playing golf at age 81!

Dr. Weber is phenomenal. She, and her team got me through a complicated injury and stayed by my side.

Dr Weber was very thorough and took time to explain the diagnosis and treatment options. Staff was helpful and respectful.

Dr. Weber personally deserves a 5-star rating. However, her admin group does not. Be prepared to wait an excessively long time past your scheduled appointment. I first saw Dr. Weber months after being misdiagnosed by another doctor (not practicing at Rush). She looked at my MRI and within 30 seconds diagnosed my problem and designed a plan that ensured my recovery. She is thorough, professional and caring. When she's with you she is laser focused on your health and recovery and she spends time with you. I never felt like she was rushed or anxious to finish up and get to another appointment.

Dr. Weber is a phenomenal doctor. Over the years she has treated me for runner’s knee and cervical spine disc herniations. She is responsive and skilled, and she really listens to the patient. Under her care I was able to conservatively and effectively manage my neck issues for 7 years (PT, injections, good ergonomics). You’d be lucky to have Dr. Weber as your doctor.

I like Dr. Weber and her Resident John Wagner and her practitioner Jamie. All of them made me very comfortable, they were professional at all time.

I've seen Dr. Weber for various injuries over the past 15 years. She and her team are exceptional. She listens, asks questions and gives you time to talk and ask questions. She has helped me tremendously. I know it sometimes takes a while to get an appointment for new patients, but I've found that once established, if you have an urgent problem they get back to you quickly.

Dr Weber has addressed my various orthopedic issues over the years. Treatment has been thorough and effective. I’ve referred her many times to friends and they also have been satisfied with their care.

Dr. Weber is an outstanding orthopedic physician. She asked great questions, listened well, did an extremely thorough physical examination and came up with a plan to help resolve my hip pain. She gave me a very clear and complete explanation of her findings and answered all my questions. I was able to get a treatment while at my first visit and make a followup appointment in 5 weeks to assess my progress.

Dr Weber and her PAs are compassionate professionals. My concerns are always addressed in a thorough and thoughtful manner. I leave the visit feeling empowered and well cared for.

Dr. Weber was the first MD who made a breakthrough in diagnosing and treating decades of my woes with arthritis, pain and low mobility. She is intuitive, compassionate, thoughtful and careful. Her philosophy is surgery is the LAST possible and least preferable option. Her PAs are always well trained and kind. The rest of the staff at Midwest Orthopedics is polite, helpful. The office is well run and very careful about pandemic precautions. It can take a while to snare an initial appt., but once you are a patient and you have a sudden problem, they respond well. I’ve seen her or staff twice yearly for over a decade for artificial knee lubricant injections, which along with special exercises have made a dramatic improvement in my life. I make a point of scheduling well in advance. There is far, far less in-office waiting than in the past. I always heartily recommend her to family and friends.

Dr. Weber was very kind and helpful. I have only seen her once, but she explained everything better than any other physician that I have seen. She was very clear and concise. It is evident that she truly cares about her patients. Additionally, the PAs were so kind and helpful. I felt very important among Dr. Weber and the PAs throughout my whole visit!

I made an appointment for a second opinion. Dr. Weber and her resident spent about 45 minutes total with me, examining my knee x-rays, discussing treatment for bursitis and exercise. The first doctor spent about 2 minutes with me after her resident examined my knee for about 10 minutes. I thought the diagnosis was wrong.

Visit was timely, thorough & professional. I received excellent advice, a a plan for recovery. I would recommend Dr Weber very highly.

It was outstanding. The care that I was given by Dr. Weber and her staff was absolutely beyond my expectations. The knowledge, expertise as well as her explanations of my issue was fantastic. Dr. Weber nor her staff ever made you feel that they were speaking down to you they respected you as an adult. I couldn’t be happier with my decision to have Dr. Weber and her team became my orthopedist. Surgery to Dr. Weber is the last resort.

After spend roughly 3 years shuffling from Specialist to Specialist on the NorthShore Orthopedic circuit, getting spinal injections, 5 minute weight shaming chats, Dr + entourage parties, and monumental lip service, I final found a Doctor that actual listened, properly evaluated, and diagnosed my problem, SPOT ON!! Dr. Weber is MASTER CLASS! She actually listened, really listened. She evaluated by asking questions, she poked, she prodded, she asked more questions, she actually did what she was trained to do and included compassion and concern along the way. The best part is she assured me that if the treatment she provided didn’t continue to alleviate and correct my problem she would keep trying, but confident she is on the right path. Five days later, I still feel good and feeling better every day. My first thought after leaving my appointment? Leave it to a female to sleuth a problem thoroughly and affectively, and leave no one behind to flounder. I feel blessed to have found her.

Dr. Weber takes time with patients which makes you feel heard and understood. There was a longer wait time, but I feel it was worth it. There will also be follow up which I feel is a plus.

It’s been 10 years since I first came to Dr Weber with my multiple injuries. As a nurse, I’ve met and worked with many physicians and she is the best!. I see her on a regular basis and not only is she great at her job, but is a “regular person” ! She’s very down to earth, friendly and relatable, and doesn’t treat you like a number. With every one of my injuries she has either cared for it herself or referred me to great docs in that particular field as required for my care. Of all the docs I’ve seen st RUSH, she and one other have been the only ones to actually make a difference with my situation. Latoya Miller is her physician’s assistant. Same applies to Latoya, she’s amazing at what she does and how she provides care for me. She has a bedside manner like no other. Latoya is extremely knowledgeable and experienced. Dr. Weber was incredible! I had been to 2 different ortho doctors and multiple physical therapists before seeing her, none of them could tell me what was wrong with my knee. One ortho said he noticed nothing abnormal on my MRI and the other thought it was Hoffa's syndrome, but not terribly aggravated. It took Dr. Weber only minutes to discover that I had patellar tendinopathy. I knew I wasn't crazy like the other orthos suggested, it felt good to finally have some validation. She answered a multitude of my questions before I even asked them (I had about 20 written down). She was very interested in everything I had to say, as well as very thorough with trying to pin down exactly what I did to cause the injury and what motions caused me pain. I had gone into the visit wanting a PRP injection, as nothing else had worked. She was very persistent with her questioning on previous methods of attempted treatment, PT, cortisone injections, knee brace etc... Because PRP is not on the frontline of knee treatment protocol. She easily could've just given me what I wanted and taken my money for the injection. (which was $750 out of pocket as insurance deems the treatment experimental) Instead, she made sure I was comfortable and had completed all of the prerequisites. I asked her if she would suggest the PRP as the next step in my line of treatment and she said yes. We proceeded onward, she was very comforting, knowledgeable and precise. I could tell I was in great hands and I felt very hopeful about my treatment. After the procedure I bombarded her with even more questions, all of which she was delighted to answer. I must've spent two hours or more with her directly. You can tell she has a passion for finding the causes of a patient's ailments and working with them to fix the situation. I have been dealing with my knee issues for over a year now, and many times I've gotten my hopes up, only to be let down by "experts"claiming to be at the top of their respective fields. As such, I had been left with a very hard to convince attitude and very high standards. Dr. Weber not only met all of my expectations, she exceeded them amazingly. There was no staff member handling her patients. After waiting for a while, I was told by another doctor's staff to sign up, which I did. Then I waited for another ten minutes only to be told that I was supposed to reschedule because they did not think I could fill in the new patient forms in the remaining time! It was still ten minutes before my appointment, and they had wasted my time by not having a staff member at the front desk! I wanted to fill in the forms because I believe I could (I can read 7 pages in ten minutes and can easily fill in 5 pages of forms), but of course, they felt they had a right to judge my capabilities on top of being incompetent and keeping a staff member at the front desk to handle patients in time! Will not go back! There are other competent doctors with better staff and administrators in Chicago! Cannot judge her professional skills since she refused to see me although I was there about half an hour before my appointment!
