I’ve been with Dr Barngrover since 2007, he’s taken care of both my parents and we all think very highly of him. The staff is very nice as well. Best Pain Management Dr around

Dr. B. and his PA, Jesse, are wonderful, caring doctors and frankly, a dying breed in this particular field. (Too many doctors are afraid of chronic pain patients now because, God-forbid, we might ask for a medication that eases our endless pain!) They are responsible professionals that maintain a strict set of guidelines, procedures, and expectations when it comes to prescribing said medications, simultaneously making sure we're ALWAYS taken care of and do not suffer needlessly. It is very apparent that they genuinely care and put our needs and comfort first! Dr. B. is also a gentle and talented anesthesiologist! He has done several injections for my different conditions and each time, I've gotten profound relief because he knows exactly where and how to place the medication! All while being very careful, patient, and gentle so that it doesn't even hurt!!! Bottom line? These two doctors GENUINELY CARE about their patients!!!! Last but certainly not least, the staff here at this office, is absolutely fantastic!!!! (Save one individual...???? I guess there's always "one"; however, if you do have to deal with her in any capacity? You'll know it!! She is terribly rude and condescending. But I digress!) The rest of this staff, from the front desk to the triage, are warm, welcoming folks! They get to know you, and greet you by name when you come in the door! They'll ask about your kids and/or grandkids...(the sweet young lady in the front even remembered that our dog had had surgery and asked after him at my next appointment!!!) Every time you go, it's as if you're a member of a family, not just a faceless name on a file folder! I've seen them literally drop everything in their hands just to rush out and hold a door open for a patient in a wheelchair or on crutches! This office is truly a one-of-a-kind place when it comes to pain management, and I HIGHLY recommend them! (I went to Nexus for about 6 months before switching to Southeast Regional and it is NIGHT AND DAY.!) A heartfelt thanks to all of you at that office! I hope you see this and know that you are all truly appreciated for your excellence, professionalism, and consistently uplifting attitudes!!! ❤ (Sorry for the loooongggg review, but they deserve it! Dr. Barngrover is a fabulous pain management physician. He’s kind, understanding, compassionate, and empathetic. He truly listens to you and offers treatment that will best suit your needs. He’s been my doctor for 13 years and you couldn’t pay me to leave. He also has a PA (Jesse) that works closely with him and he is just as amazing. Jesse is compassionate, kind, understanding, and empathetic. So if you’re unable to get in with the doc, you at least know that you’re gonna get the same care from the PA.The office staff is very nice & understanding too. The lady at the front desk (Tonya) always has a smile on her face & is willing to help you. They’re all amazing in my opinion. To have all 3 components in a doctors office is very rare these days. I love Dr. Barngrover and his staff. The staff is always courteous, engaged and friendly, not to mention helpful. Dr. Barngrover himself is very personable. He is funny, speaks to me in a way that’s as if we are on the same level and never in a condescending manner. He also treats me as a person and not a dollar sign or as a stranger which is rare these days. I usually see Jesse and I can’t say enough about him! My friends see him. He doesn't take my insurance (medicaid). But he does a wonderful job with them!!!!

The office staff ( Cindy) was very unprofessional and totally uncaring about my situation. I called her two days in a row and she gave me the runaround both times. I simply wanted to get a consultation with Dr. Barngrover to discuss my pain treatments I'm receiving at another pain clinic just to get a second opinion since I'm still in a lot of pain. That wasn't going to happen. This woman was rude and not helpful at all. I asked for the doctors email or phone number to talk to him about the situation. She wouldn't give me that either. I'm sure the doctor is totally unaware of just how badly this woman treats people on the phone. I can't possibly imagine a professional physician allowing someone like this to converse with patients in any manner. I will find a way to contact him even if I have to send him a letter at his house.

Office personnel are very rude and unprofessional. Would not even give me an appointment for a consult with the doctor. she was totally unwilling to help with your pain situation. I will try to find another doctor to help. I asked to speak to the doctor and she (Cindy) would not give me his number or email address. I'm sure the doctor doesn't even know how bad the office personnel treat their patients and potential patients.

I called to get an appointment to see Dr. Barngrover with neck issues from surgery, I have been going to Nexus for three years and am not very satisfied with the treatment I'm receiving because after numerous procedures I'm still in pain. My brother goes to Dr. Barngrover with a similar issue so he recommended him to me. What a surprise I got when I called, I reached a receptionist that was extremely curt, short and rude. She was not helpful or friendly at all. at all. She stated that since I have been going to nexus they wouldn't except me. Don't waste your time with this practice. They are very unsympathetic to your pain. I felt as though she was just trying to get rid of me.

Very caring group of people and they genuinely care about the patients well being.

Dr Barngrover has treated me for years. A first class anesthesiologist and father. His staff is equally skilled and have been with him for years. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Barngrover and Lockhart are both wonderful providers of care. They educate you about the treatment they prescribe and different ways to manage pain. The staff is also friendly. During this Pandemic of Covid he has put in many safeguards to protect his patients and staff so you feel safe going there. I was referred to him by another physician, which was the best for you. If you are in pain you should see a Pain Specialist to receive the correct treatment. I have been his patient for approximately three years.

It sounds like Dr. Barngrover is a fine physician with very good ratings - Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to speak with Cindy in his office. She could have nicely explained that they do not accept patients from Assisted Living Facilities...but she didn't. After reading other reviews for Dr. Barngrover, it appears that she is the weak link in the office chain as others experiences seem to mirror mine. It's unfortunate that a staff member with a poor attitude and unprofessional demeanor is the only representation that I have of Dr. Bargrover's practice... He has been a great Dr.to me.Helped during my surgery back,.

I see both Barngrover and Lockhart and they both actually care not only you as a person but for you medically. I ask so many questions and we discuss so many options, it's wonderful to know that there are Drs that actually listen and give advice. Especially when you have severe Fibro like I do we discuss Ava compare so much. I cannot thank them enough. All the nurses and both girls who take appts etc are all so wonderful...thank you again.. For making me and my family not feel as if we all are losing our minds but listen and care.

Dr.Barngrover is a Sweet Heart. But the lady who handles the Workers Compensation Sydney or Cindy. She was very unprofessional, rude and nasty. She doesn't know how to talk to people. I simply called her on behalf of my husband to ask a question. She needs to take some classes on professionalism and customer service.

Sometimes you have to wait but HE'S very good I recommend him . But the DEA KNOWS all the government is a problem for cronic pain patients.

Dr. Barngrover is an excellent physician. He only gives the medications that you need and his intentions is always to lower the medications that you are on. He aways talks to you and explains everything to you. I would proudly recommend him to anyone. John Pell

Dr. Barngrover is an awesome physician. However, don't dare question their billing practices or they will dismiss you as a client. Everyone deserves an explanation of what they're being charged but his office manager doesn't feel that is so.

I am currently and have been a patient of Dr. Barngrover for 17+ years. I had my PM treatment transferred from a PM clinic in Huntsville upon returning home after my career. Dr. B welcomed me to his clinic after a lengthy interview, even considering my referral. He has genuine compassion for people who must live in pain. He competently performs out-patient procedures but does not solicit them. He holds multiple board certifications and is an exceptional listener. He is an honest man and friend.

Dr. Barngrover and his staff are one of the best medical providers I’ve ever had. I’ve been with them over 6 years. He gave me a much better chance at having a decent life with pain under control due to a rare nervous system pain disorder and later onset Lupus verified after I started seeing him as a patient. My entire medical team respects and trusts his opinion as well. He and his staff are always patient, compassionate and educational about what your options are, and I am thankful they exist!

The best Dr I've ever had hands down. Cares very much for his patients and takes time with me and always listens. I love the Dr and his whole staff for treating us like human beings! The way all Dr offices should be. Dr Barngrover gave me my life back!

I have been a patient of Dr. Barngrover's for 12years now. He, along with Jesse, and Patricia, have taken me from a life with zero quality to a life worth living. I will never be pain free, but with their help, I can live a fairly normal life. They are all very compassionate and caring providers. Thanks to you all!!

Uncaring quick to put me on addictive pain meds. This doctor is nothing but a waiter of prescriptions.

Dr. Barngrover is an amazing physician. He is very informative, compassionate, thorough, and understanding. He had amazing staff who are always kind and caring. They have really been a life changing experience as far as getting me back on my feet and able to have a decent quality of life.
