Best orthopedic Dr. He cares and is not an alarmist. I appreciate his kind attitude. After losing Dr First years ago I thought I'd never find on as great but Dr Brooks is the greatest.

2 months after a knee injury I underwent an arthroscopic repair of a large meniscus tear by Dr Brooks. A few weeks later I am walking without any help and my knee is back to normal, I can hardly believe it since I had so much pain and difficulty walking. His bedside manners are impeccable and inspire confidence. Great job.

Dr. Kenneth Brooks and his staff were awesome. I had 2 procedures for a torn biceps tendon and both times Dr. Brooks and his staff did a great job. They answered all questions, explained everything to me and made me comfortable the entire time. 3 months after both procedures I feel great, better than I did before and have been back in the gym for almost a month already. I recommended my mom to Houston Methodist for her knee surgery and she is just as pleased as I am with her procedure. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Brooks and his staff, you will be very pleased. Original review posted in 2017: Dr. Brooks goes above and beyond to carefully explain what is wrong and how he will fix it. For me, Dr. Brooks proposed an extensive reconstruction. I wasn't confident in his opinion so I went to three top orthopedists in Washington DC for second opinions. All three agreed that the surgery Dr. Brooks proposed would fix my knee. One flatly told me he doesn't have the skill to pull off the surgery, despite being a nationally awarded surgeon. I returned to Houston and underwent the surgery. Nine months later, I am pleased. Dr. Brook's work is impeccable. Update 10/19: It's been over three years since my knee surgery and I am still 100% satisfied with the results. Only because I had my knee surgery was I able to make a career change that vastly improved my quality of life. I work in the medical field and I frequently witness surgeons rush through surgeries and sloppily staple or suture their patients back together in a way that leaves burly scars, not Dr. Brooks. He carefully sutured my knee, so that all is left to attest to the enormous surgery I had, is a thin white line that is only noticeable when I point it out. The more I see of the medical field, the more I am impressed with Dr. Brooks. He repaired my son's knee after football surgery and took the best care of all of us.

Dr Brooks has done both my total knees and I would never use anyone but him.

Dr. Brooks has been my wife's surgeon (2 shoulder surgeries) and mine (2 knee surgeries) . He takes the time to talk with you, give you options with the pros and cons of each. He talks with you and not at you. None better!

The most amazing surgeon that I have ever been under the care of. He is passionate, talented and genuinely cared about fixing my injury. I thought I would not have much use of my hand after a dog nearly ripped it off, but today I have nearly full function. Trust this guy!

I've read many reviews and researched many orthopedic surgeons prior to making my decision on which physician I would allow to perform my surgery. Having witnessed Dr. Brooks do many surgeries in the OR first hand I can honestly say he is one the best. Not only that but he genuinely cares for his patients. He does amazing work and I would recommend him to anyone, the world would be a much better place if there were more Docs like him.

In a world of horrible doctors, Dr. Brooks should be cloned. He is the best hands down and he is actually accesible directly. Whenever we call him he answers all of our questions.

I needed to find a new surgeon after mine died. It was tough doing so but I felt that Dr. Brooks was the right choice for me.

Just freaking awesome!!! Followed Dr B from his previous practice!!! He is just that awesome. Been his patient for 2+ years!!!

Dr. Brooks is attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough. He put my daughter at ease in her initial exam and we always felt comfortable with his abilities as a surgeon. His office staff and surgical staff are professional and took excellent care of our daughter at a vulnerable time for her. We were especially impressed with Dr. Brooks' knowledge of current techniques and his apparent diligence to continue learning about his craft. We recommend fully Dr. Brooks and his staff for orthopedic care.

I went to Dr. Brooks at Utmb orthopedic after having an unsuccessful surgery on my shoulder by another Dr. Doctor Brooks was very caring and listened to me about the problems I was having like no other Dr. had done. He diagnosed my problem and did a second surgery much more extensive than the first and did a miraculous job . I would recommend him 100 % he is caring and is a master at what he does.

Very thorough and informative was very helpful with getting the surgery process started and before and after surgery kept in contact kept us informed and was just overall very good at his job was one of the best doctors we have had since moving to Texas from Colorado.

Dr Brooks is a great surgeon. I had bilateral hip replacement done on July 7, 2016. Today it makes a month and I am walking a little with a cane only. The pain on the hips is gone. I would recommend Dr Brooks to anyone. He is amazing. Thank you Dr. I'm so happy with the results. P. Flores

I have been a patient of Dr. Brooks for almost 5 years! I will have two Knee replacements, two shoulder surgeries (rotator cuff. bone spurs, SLAP Tear) He has a very good bed-side manner. He listens to you and is very patient.
