I have a great deal of respect for Dr. McWha. He is well informed and keeps me well appraised of my current health status.

Dr. McWha is prompt, attentive, and knowledgeable. One aspect of Dr. McWha that I particularly appreciate is his approachability; Dr. McWha is very easy to talk to. This practice is a pleasure to partner with to achieve good health. The office is always on top of appointments and cater to patients needs. Dr. McWha is compassionate and genuinely cares for his patients including his follow up on any conditions that need monitoring to ensure good health. My family has been happy in this practice for many years now and is comfortable knowing that we have this close professional relationship moving forward ensuring our health. So fortunate to have a Doctor who is available, knowledgeable and kind with the office staff to support him.

This doctor closed his practice with no notice to his patients during this pandemic. Calling for days on end because he does not even have the courtesy to his former patents to put a message on voice message and on web site explaining anything. Shame on you! Apparently missed the Reason you become a doctor is to care for your patients.. good luck to anyone who goes to him.

I called on a Wednesday to see the doctor because I was sick. The first open slot was that Friday and I took it. I accidentally wrote my appointment time wrong by 15 minutes so therefor showed up 15 minutes late. The doctor refused to see me. Knowing that I was sick and that my lateness was due to a mistake, that I most likely made because I was ill, he refused to see me. I have never heard of such a policy where a doctor refuses to see one of his patients due to being a bit late. Mind you, he makes his patients wait longer than 15 minutes. Since there were no patients in the waiting room, I asked the receptionist if the doctor could make an exception seeing as there was no one waiting. The receptionist was actually gleeful to say that there were no exceptions and that he could offer me an appointment the following week. Obviously, I didn't wait and went to an urgent care/walk in clinic. I do not recommend this doctor. He is completely irresponsible when it comes to his patients health and the reception staff are beyond unprofessional.

I have recently visited Dr. McWha at his new office in Newburyport for a yearly physical, and was very pleased with his thorough questions. He had the ability to listen with patience while communicating thoughtfully. He seemed to care about his job and his patient's overall health.
