I am grateful we found Dr. Porter and that he is my son's doctor. Dr.porter takes the time to explain no only my questions but everything that is going on with my son's health, development, treatments, and medications. He explains thoroughly the vaccination process and about the vaccines our children have to have. He is kind, caring, compassionate with a touch of funny. Dr. Porters interaction with my son is outstanding. The office staff is also very helpful and friendly. The nurse is retiring which is unfortunate for us because she was wonderful. Smart kind caring just a wonderful nurse. She will be missed. Thank you Dr.Porter and everyone in the office! You take excellent care of us! Great doctor. Have been taking both my kids there since they were born. He is honest and does care about his patients. They are not just a number to him. Not to sure what the negative reviews are for. I read them and my guess.... they are whinny snowflake millennial's who's feelings are hurt if you sneeze in the wrong direction. Great doctor. I love Dr. Porter. He is a no nonsense kind of doctor. He will be honest, answers all your questions and is so good with the kids. I don't have an issue getting in if they are sick or injured. Very good dr.

We have a large family and have been bringing our kids to Dr. Porter for the past 20 years. He will take you the same day you call if it is urgent. Best Pediatrician!!!! He listens and gives great advice. He does a great job sticking to his schedule. I highly recommend him!!

I wish I could have taken him with us when we moved to St. Louis ! I can’t say enough good things about him

Dr. Porter is my favorite man. He has been my doctor since i was about.......maybe 2-3. Im not sure but i know i was very young. As of now, i am 20 years old struggling to find a doctor because i so desperately wish i could stay with him! Haha. I am actually in nursing school now, and i can say that as a child Dr. Porter has diagnosed me with MULTIPLE THINGS. He has always been the most FUN pediatrician i have know. He makes kids feel comfortable with his witty sense of humor and all of his Disney decorations. (Still remember the dinosaur beds). He has held me through one of my first of many panic attacks as a child. He diagnosed me with MONO in middle school. My mom originally went to him because she had went to MULTIPLE doctors about me having a fowl smell aroma, non stop crying, congested, ect. Come to find out i had tissue stuck so far up my nose and it had been there rotting and growing bacteria for weeks (took him 5 min tops to pull it out)...THANKS DR. Porter. We were very unhappy, the doctor was rude and also constantly canceled the appointed time. He behaved so that after a visit to him I felt like the most terrible mother in the world. He also explained to me and my husband that we are too kind with our daughter and that the children love to live in a regime like in the army. Maybe we caused his dislike because we are immigrants from Europe, and some things took longer to explain because English is not our first language. The office is in very poor condition with old equipment. The only thing that pleased, the nurses are very polite and lovely people. Been going to him for my daughters for 20 years. He’s the most caring Dr I’ve ever met. He explains everything and answers all questions I have. If it wasn’t for Dr. Porter my 2nd daughter would not be alive today!

One of the best pediatricians you'll ever meet! He was my pediatrician throughout my entire childhood as well as my siblings now I'm 22 with a child of my own and wish my son could see him, unfortunately I live in another state now. He is a great doctor! Takes his time and always explains everything. He has been my children’s pediatrician since 1993. I would recommend him to any parent looking for a physician! His staff is also very friendly. Only wish he had a late day or occasional weekend hours so kids did not have to miss school for a non urgent appointment.

My wife and I choose Dr Porter because of the good reviews on google. The first few visits he seemed very friendly and knowledgeable. When my wife came for the two month check up, the nurse already had 5 or 6 immunization shots lined up in the room with the packaging inserts removed before she even walked in the room. My wife told the nurse that we choose not to vaccinate our child at least not when he is only 2 months old, certainty not 5 shots all at once and definitely not with them being removed from the packaging without us being present in the room... The nurse called Dr Porter immediately and he made it a big deal asking why we are doing such a thing and that he does not want us there is we do not vaccinate our child right there and then. He literally asked my wife to leave his office on the spot after she told him that she does not want to vaccinate our child. What pissed me off the most was not the fact that he does not agree with us with the fact that we don't want to vaccinate, but that he asked my wife to leave without even doing the check up. At least have the courtesy to look at the child, weigh him, and nicely tell your clients that if you choose not to vaccinate please find another pediatrician going forward. Amazing doctors been taking my kids 10yrs to him!!

My daughter has been his patient for over six years and even though we moved outside Lemont, I still make the drive out to him because he's the best Dr. I've ever had the pleasure of being around. Highly recommend!!

He's wonderful with my daughter since day one. He always is nice and understanding and always answers all the questions we have for him. As well as always having her best interests in care whatever it may be. Can't say enough great things about him and his staff.

Very down to earth, honest man. Wonderful with my son and listens to all my worries big and small.

My son has been going to him for years. Dr. Porter is truly an amazing doctor. He always thoroughly explains everything when my son is sick so I understand the whys and hows. Highly recommend him!

Very nice and knowledgeable doctor! He knows how to find a way to every child. My son loves him! Dr. Porter always listen our concerns and never rushed us out! Wait time is never longer than 5min.
