Great initial appointment with Dr Rufner. He requested a follow up appointment. I made a follow up appointment with Dr. Rufner via telehealth . He never came on line.. I have been waiting for a return call from him for days… His office staff puts me on eternal hold or hangs up on me.. The office manager wont come to the phone. Most of Dr. Rufner’s reviews are very similar to my situation. How and why does Dr. Rufner condone this horrible office behavior. Very unprofessional and reflects badly on Dr. Rufner..

Dr. Rufner read over my existing file before my first appointment, listened to my concerns, and formulated a plan. I appreciate his willingness to problem solve with me.

Great doctor, very thorough, takes time to explain diagnosis in detail. Excellent professional and personal manner. Only complaint is very poor telephone appointment system

Dr Rufner is very knowledgeable and professional. He offered great insight, and was very detailed.

Dr. Rufner did my colonoscopy a year ago. I was having problems and set up an appointment. I was 15 minutes late and he wouldn't see me. I set up a another appointment, which was virtual, that was yesterday and he never showed up for the appointment. I was on hold waiting for him for over 1 hour. When I called his office nobody seemed to know what was going on. I asked his office to have him call me and I never got a phone call back Dr. Rufner did my colonoscopy a year ago. My boyfriend has gastroparesis and it has been a rough couple of years, but we've been lucky to have come across Dr. Rufner. I saw Dr. Kevin Rufner for the first time today, for long standing Crohn's Disease. Based on only one very extensive meeting, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Rufner and will absolutely continue seeing him. I feel very fortunate to have connected with him. I've had Crohn's for over 40 years, so I've seen my share of GI doctors.

Dr. Rufner has been my best gastroenterologist and I've had quite a few. I've had some say they didnt know what was wrong but Dr. Rufner knew what it was and how to treat. I have been going to him about 6 years and highly recommend him.

Very professional and explained everything in detail. Covered a lot in short time and was very attentive to my questions and concerns. The video worked well for a time then interference was bit hard to understand luckily we had covered most of what were my concerns. Dr. Rufner is one of the most truly caring doctors I’ve had. He has, quite literally, held my hand learning how to live with my horrible disease and is still able to help me focus on the positives. I highly recommend him. With that being said, the supportive staff leaves much to be desired. Any time I’ve called with a question or request and left a message for an MA I either get NO response at all or it takes numerous calls and it may or may not be resolved. Dr. Rufner's approach in helping my mom was excellent He took the time to get down to her level to speak to her, looked directly at her and listened carefully to everything she said. He explained his concerns and plans with her in a language she could understand and made her feel very comfortable with next steps.

I had a great experience seeing Dr. Rufner. He was exceptionally friendly and professional, listened carefully to my conditions and concerns, and most importantly he explained the medical information very clearly. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Rufner was kind and patient, taking the time to walk me through the GI issues I had and why I had them, and suggested several different routes of treatment. Everyone in the office was also pleasant and professional. Great experience all around!

Dr. Rufner was awesome. He took his time, answered all my questions completely. I didn’t feel the slightest bit rushed. He went over all the procedures, details of what my body was doing in an easy to understand way. I really feel he cared about me. Look no further than Dr. Rufner.

Dr. Rufner was extremely easy to talk with. He used language that was easily understood. I was asked several times if I understood what he was telling me and was asked if I had questions. I look forward to meeting him in person.

Dr. Rufner took his time with me. He was professional, courteous, thorough, developed a good treatment plan, and gave me notes at the end of the appointment which I so appreciated. I'd definitely recommend him and this practice. The office was clean and efficiently run by young professionals.

Dr. Rufner performed a colonoscopy for me. He ended up finding Stage 1 cancer after sending in a biopsy that appeared only mildly suspicious. This cancer did not show up on a CT Scan. Without the thoroughness of Dr. Rufner I would have been in real trouble. He literally was a lifesaver.

This is the worst medical office I have ever encountered. I was 15 minutes late (after driving 2 hours from Breckenridge) and I was told he couldn't see me. I rescheduled the appointment for a video call. On the appointment time he never got on line or showed up for my appointment. I have wasted so much time on this physician. I am a a doctor as well and I have never seen an office so poorly managed or a Physician who cared so little about his patients.

He was enthusiastic, knew what he was talking about and seemed to generally care about what was going on with my condition.

I think everyone should have full transparency to who they are establishing care with. Dr Rufner, at face value, is a good doctor. He will spend time in the appointment and fully and clearly explain your treatment options. However, if you are looking for any sort of level of care beyond that – please read on. For anyone who lives with IBD or a GI disease, you know a flare up is scary at best and can be damaging at worst. Its in these times that you turn to your doctor for direction and a course of action. I am sad to say that for over 4 whole weeks, with my Crohn’s uncontrolled and confused about the next steps, I called and emailed and left VMs with Dr Rufner’s office with no response. Furthermore, the receptionist actually started to screen my calls and sent them straight to VM. Even after having an MRI, I never even got a follow up call with my results. I would never want any one else to be in this position with any doctor so I wanted to be honest about my experience here. Kevin Rufner is the 3rd GI doctor I have gone to and the only one who has sat down and actually listened to the issues I had and helped me understand them. Definitely recommended.

Dr, Rufner talked through actions steps for my stomach issues and helped rule out illnesses based on my history. He was helpful and informative, however the appointment was extremely rushed. I wasn’t able to get all my questions answered and he rushed through explanations of the recommendations he was providing. I hope to continue with Dr. Rufner over the coming months and then I’ll be able to give a more accurate description of his care. The Staff is very professional and nice. Dr. Rufner really takes the time to listen to you and he makes several recommendations on how to get you back to feeling good again.

Dr Rufner is super personable, knowledgeable, and I feel I can trust him and the answers he finds. He listens to everything you say and is very good at explaining what is going on and the game plan ahead. Very easy to talk to.

Had my first visit with Dr. Rufner by telemedicine. It was nothing short of amazing. I felt totally comfortable talking with him. He had some amazing ideas about how to help me, and came up with a sensible plan - all in 20 min!

Dr. Rufner is just amazing! His treatment plan got me into remission, and it is always a pleasure to visit him. I’m not one of those people who are afraid of doctors/hospitals, but if I was Dr. Rufner would most certainly change my mind in that regard. He is very attentive to your concerns, and always explains his treatment decisions thoroughly. Dr.Ruffner is an excellent physician.I came to him with serious issues with my esophagus.I am very happy to say I am almost entirely free of the ailment that hindered me for 30 years.

Dr. Rufner is an amazing doctor. He knows what he’s talking about and is always willing to give his patients all the information they need when making decisions.

I really liked Dr. Rufner. He was very well prepared for my initial consultation. He had received medical records from my other doctors and it was obvious he had reviewed them prior to my appointment. The problem is with follow up. The support/office staff has been very difficult to deal with. It took a full week to get his office to send prescriptions to my pharmacy. At this writing, I have been waiting 5 days for a refill.

Dr. Rufner was thorough in his office visit, but subsequent follow-up messages and referrals took considerable time. His staff is quite negligent and lack basic customer service skills. For example, I emailed Dr. Rufner to notify him that I was faxing FMLA documents to his office for my employer. Nothing was returned after 3 weeks. I called & no one knew the status. I faxed the documents again & promised completion the next day. I was called the next day & told he would complete them.
