She is the best doctor ever.

My wife sees Dr. Ekman. (since she was 16)We are having baby #3 and are very happy with the care we’ve had.

Phoebe you are correct, except for she is not the worst, she can make some really unprofessional remarks, I use to think this obgyn was super funny and down to earth! She delivered my first two children and I love her then! But after that she put me on birth control Mirena and I kept having bad cramping which she refused to listen or pay attention to ER notes. She blamed it on gastric issues. Lol! What an idiot! Rite! I was so hurt by her at that time now I just laugh because she is so damn arrogant and condescending at times she shouldn’t! Come to find out by getting second opinion finally!, because I highly respected her at that time, the mirena was causing me ovarian cysts which I dealt with for years. Ovarian cysts that rupture hurts so bad as a lot of women know about. Welp all I got to say is no body perfect but the Cleveland clinic has some arrogant ass doctors that’s going to one day cost them money when they mess with the wrong patient. Just really research this one Dr. Ekman all her bad patient experiences been buried but is still on internet crazy we all have the same complaint. You’ll love her until she f**** with your health trust me! That’s my feedback now I’m done. Ohhhh btw Dr. Kshettry is probably that most caring obgyn and patient doctor there is. Dr. Ekman has been my OB/GYN since she delivered my child at 25 weeks in 2003. She has delivered all three of my kiddos and taken care of me throughout every pregnancy, which were all high risk and resulted in premature births. Beyond that, she provides my gynecological care. I absolutely adore her. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to take care of me the way she has. I recommend her to literally anyone who asks. Ha! 10 years ago I found out I was pregnant at 5 months. By complete fate Ekman was the only DR who would take me. 10 years later I'm so grateful it worked out that way. She remembers things we've talked about over the years, medically and personally. Some reviews here say she has to many patients and is too busy. First, Ekman is a high energy lady. Very much a walking talker. If you know that, you wont take it personally when she walks away still talking. And if you still have concerns or questions, she will turn her self right back around. Secondly, all Cleveland Clinic doctors are currently over worked. It's a known problem. Shortage of doctors. Lastly, every friend I know I refer to Ekman, because she is knowledgeable, friendly, light hearted and knows high risks. Now, 10 years later and I'm planning my induction around her on call schedule because I wouldn't want anyone else.

Dr Eckman is professional and knowledgeable with a contagiously happy personality. She takes he time to know her patients and truly cares for people. She delivered my daughter via cesarean and everything went incredibly smooth with a relatively easy recovery. At any given time you will find Dr. Eckman singing in the halls. I would highly recommend her. I felt like I was in the best hands with her.

I saw Dr. Ekman over a period of six years for three separate pregnancies. The last baby I lost and had to deliver stillborn simply because of her mismanagement and incompentency. I am an attorney and recalled medical records and found our Dr. Ekman knew of a condition I had at the birth of my second baby, which meant my third pregnnancy should had been treated as high-risk. Thank God nothing happened to that baby. During my fourth pregnancy the condition came up and she acted so shocked I had this condition (when tests results from the records I pulled showed she was informed (and so was Cleveland Clinic) of it both at the birth of my second baby and my third). I could have gotten appropriate treatment to save my fourth baby but instead I had to deliver a stillborn baby. I went on to have two more children no thanks to Dr. Ekman. Losing my baby was the worst experience of my life and she is incompetent and takes on too many patients to give them the focus and care they need.

Dr. Ekman was courteous, informative and thorough in her approach to treatment. I left feeling as though all my questions and concerns were address and all options had been explained rather than just some other doctors who would simple just try to deter you away from something they have no interest in doing. I really appreciate her care.

I've been a patient with Dr. Ekman for 6 years now. She was my OBGYN through 2 pregnancies and I couldn't be happier. She has always explained what was happening in clear terms. When I had PPD/PPA with my first child she listened to me and even normalized it for me by sharing her experiences. I was so relieved having someone like her to help me through everything. Can't recommend her enough.

Horrible. My wife has PTSD from her birth with our second son because Eckman wouldn't listen to anything we had to say. My wife was on her back and I was BEGGING, literally begging for them to let her get up and move. We very much wanted a vaginal birth but it slid into a C-section no matter what we said or did. STAY AWAY, please.

Worst doctor I've ever seen. I was sent to her with clear symptoms of cervical cancer. She didn't even pay attention to the notes from my GP. She had to go "back in" after she examined me and made no mention of what my GP sent me to her for. Then she told me that I "totally" didn't have cancer. Super professional. 6 months later, another doctor told me my cervix was not visible with a standard speculum, went to retrieve a different one, and could see with her own eyes the golf-ball sized tumor. I have two other friend who had similar experiences with this useless woman. Literally THE worst doctor practicing in the greater Cleveland area. I am lucky to be alive after all that she missed. THE BEST MD EVER! SHE IS VERY PROFESIONAL, SHE BRING MY TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN TO THIS WORLD SAFE AND SOUND , AND ALSO SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, SHES IS ALWAYS KIND, HELPFULL AND FULL OF EXPERIENCE . THANK YOU DOC!

I really, really love Dr. Ekman- she is a straight-shooter, and will explain anything you'd like more info on which I found to be really helpful first when she was my GYN and later when she became my OB. Could not recommend more!

I love Dr. Ekman, at my current condition I've never had a doctor more caring and concerning. She emailed me, personally called me, answered all my questions, anything I need she's always there. I am so grateful for this beautiful soul.

Dr. Ekman is simply the best doctor I have ever had. She is clearly professional, intelligent and well-informed but she is also funny and direct. If there was a course on bedside manner, she could teach it. I trust her implicitly and recommend her to anyone who needs an OB/GYN.

If you want someone who will listen intently and sympathetically, would definitely not recommend. Been going for 4 years for annuals and never been a fan. Rushes appts, does not listen, at times abrasive and condescending, and is walking out the door while still asking questions. I could NEVER imagine dealing with this woman during a pregnancy and especially during labor when you are most vulnerable and need a caring, understanding doctor most. She seriously is the worst doctor I've encountered

Dr. Ekman was my GYN for 3 years, and eventually my OB during a pregnancy with some complications (multiples) and she was absolutely wonderful during it all! She is not at all judgemental and will explain things in a very simple, easy-to-understand manner. She is very blunt, which my husband was sometimes overwhelmed by, but I found it to be so refreshing- I like to have as much info as possible. I moved out of state for work and haven't been able to find another OB that I trust quite like her.

My GP sent me to Dr Ekman with CLEAR signs of Cervical Cancer. She ignored the notes my GP sent & had to go "back in" to look for what my doctor thought she saw during my pap. Ekman was so arrogant - truly has a God complex. She told me that I "totally" didn't have cancer. 6 months later a REAL doctor could SEE the golf-ball sized tumor that had grown into my vagina with her naked eye. Sadly, two other friends had similar experiences with Ekman. I would urge anyone to avoid her AT ALL COSTS.

I love Dr. Ekman! She is caring, knowledgeable, and I trust her. I've been seeing her since I moved to Lakewood and would recommend her to anyone! She explains what is going on, takes time to answer any questions, and never makes the appointment feel rushed.

I would strongly recommend NOT having Dr. Ekman as your Ob. We found her to be very arrogant and condescending. I was suffering from post partum cardiomyopathy. Dr. Ekman misdiagnosed me. After weeks of agony, I finally received an accurate diagnosis from Dr. Modi at Parma hospital. Dr. Ekman didn't take the time or effort to LISTEN when I needed her most.
