The Hughston Clinic, as an institution and Dr. Jacobson, as a doctor, has been a huge blessing in my life. Their world-class surgical skills healed my catastrophically injured knee, but their caring spirits touched my soul in my time of deep despair.

Dr. Jacobson is a great doctor with compassion for his patients. I have known him since 1994. It has been a pleasure to be a patient of his!

I highly recommend Dr. Jacobson if you are in need of knee surgery. He is very skilled at his craft, easy to talk to and willing to answer any questions. My post surgery pain levels were much less than I imagined due to his skill, allowing me to be completely off of pain meds within three days. I’m extremely happy with my choice to have Dr. J operate on my knee so I can get back on the courts soon!

The experience I have had has been a great one. From the receptionists to the doctor. Dr. Jacobson is a great doctor and I had heard many great things about him prior to my surgery. I have recommended him to several people since my surgery. Thanks for a great experience.

My daughter, Amy, was hurt in college years ago. Her school sent her to a Hughston doctor & she was fortunate enough to get Dr. Jacobson. She is fine & graduated & is changing the world one child at a time. We have never forgotten Dr. Jacobson & how good he was to her.

Today was my first time being examined by Dr Jacobson. I was impressed. He is a caring professional and a gentleman. I look forward to relying on him for any future treatment.

After nearly 2 decades with knee issues mainly due to military service, and over 3 decades as a healthcare provider myself, I would likely be described as "not an easy patient." I place strong value on knowledge and expertise, and have limited patience for the "Medical Diety" attitude some medical doctors can have. I have had the honor and pleasure of being treated by experts supporting our military who pioneered treatments during the war while stationed in Germany, and Dr. Jacobson was at least on par with them in the exact ways I was looking for, while much more down to earth, with a good ear for the patients concerns and needs. He spoke clearly and without equivocation, but was understanding and kind. All the options were laid out without pressure, and he allowed me to own my next "steps," as it were. Time with him has been my best treatment experience since Germany, and although I do not relish this upcoming surgery, his recommendation of surgeon left me much less anxious than during previous times I have been under the knife with these knees, and ss a result I am more hopeful of the outcome. The staff was kind, thoughtful, helpful, and patient. The front line staff were constantly inundated, while coping with cautions for COVID, and kept their cool as they served stressed and uncomfortable patients, doing so very quickly and efficiently. The staff you first meet can make or break a visit, and from the valets checking cars, the temp check at the front door, and to the front desk staff, they all helped set a positive tone with a relaxed presentation, a great start. The nursing staff were attentive, supportive, and kind, their soft handoffs between each other and with providers were near seamless, and any delays (as someone always needs something from the nurse) were well communicated, instead of leaving the patient hanging. They were also very understanding of any questions from nervous, uncomfortable patients in a way usually only hoped for in other facilities. The brace shop staff were knowledgeable, personable, and showed a true expertise in their role, as well as how they linked up with the rest of the practice. What struck me very well with the brace shop staff was not only the respect shown to delivery providers while seemlessly providing their services, but also they took the time to know these folks by name and treat them more like part of the team, because ultimately that's what they are. Checking out can be hard for some, I have been lucky enough to work to a place in my life where I live with some modest financial comfort, but not everyone there was so comfortable. For the staff who deals with billing and appointment scheduling, striking a balance between the obligations of the job to support the practice bottom line, while maintaining understanding and consideration of the patients unique situation is a difficult and nuanced effort, and this was being done every 5 minutes. It was a great job, and a pleasure to see it done successfully and with a good heart. There is only one word to use for such a gathering of professionals- Bravo. I can't tell you how many times in my career I have wished for staff and peers like this where I worked, as well as in practices where I have been treated all over the globe. Dr. Jacobson is an excellent surgeon and kind person. He goes above and beyond. I have seen him since the days of Dr. Hughston. I flew back from the west coast to see him again. You are in good hands with him.

I honestly can’t say enough great things about Dr. Jacobson!! He is by far the best doctor I have ever been to. I’ve had acl reconstruction on both of my knees, the right knee was done by a different doctor and I can say without a single doubt my left knee that Dr. Jacobson done is way better! I am in shock at how much better this one is because I was dreading this surgery because of my previous experience and there is no comparison. Dr. Jacobson genuinely cares about his patients he even personally called me the day after my surgery to check on me which I thought was awesome!! Dr. Jacobson has been my orthopedic provider for the past 23 years. Great bedside manner, meticulous, conscientious, compassionate, and well-trained.

I've been well cared for by Dr. Jacobson for over 27 years! Most recently, he has seen me through the past 7 months with a knee injury that is almost healed without the need for surgery. Dr. Kurt Jacobson is "the best"!!

With just one visit I found Dr. Jacobson to be personable, knowledgeable, and caring. He offered good suggestions for PT before pursuing other treatments. I will see him again in three weeks. Dr. Jacobson meets people very well, and frankly acts like he likes people. Not all surgeons have his kind of "bedside manner." So often surgeons only have a good bedside manner when their patients are comatose. I did not get that impression with Dr. Jacobson at all. I'm glad I was sent his way!

Dr Jacobson is extremely friendly and always willing to answer any questions that you may have! He isn’t just a surgeon that just wants to cut on you and will offer other options without surgery and gives his honest opinion about your injury. I would definitely recommend!

I am seeing Dr. Jacobson for knee pain. I do not want surgery so he suggested synthetic rooster comb shots for my knees. The shots are a series of three over three weeks. About 2-3 weeks after the last shot, I had much less knee pain in squatting and kneeling. I am so happy! Dr. Jacobson takes his time with his patients and has an excellent bedside manner. I highly recommend him!

I had right knee done in 14 Dr Jacobson did a wonderful job so I live 4 hours away now. I decided to use him again because my leg was worth it.

I had what I considered an emergency situation and I called and they worked me in. We realized on our drive that we would be a little late and I called back to let them know and they said to drive safe and get there when we could and they would let the doctor know to expect us. Dr. Jacobson has performed several surgeries on my knee due to an accident that happen in 2010. Dr. Jacobson is always caring not only me but my entire family. He always has time to talk with us about other things besides my knee injury. Thanks Dr. Jacobson for your kindness

I have know Dr Jacobson, for 18 yrs now. He performed knee surgery back in 2001 and here in 2019 , he is still taking care of me and my mother. He is compassionate, professional, knowledgeable about new and successful treatments he is conservative and doesn't jump to surgery first, but other treatments. All around great Doctor

Dr. Jacobson, was very caring and went into detail with me about my knee problems and what would need to take place to get my knee on a better track (literally). He was very respectful and laid back, even offered my 17 year old a job as soon as she's done with her nursing degree! Very encouraging for her!

Incredible doctor. Saved my husband's knee 29 years ago with a surgery that he pioneered. We drove from south Florida to see him and he sent us home and gave husband a pre surgery regimen on exercise bike for 60 days so he would be able to move in therapy afterward. We returned for surgery and he worked a miracle. To this day we have had no more issues with his very problematic knee. Extremely competent and the hospital was the best.

I have gone to Dr. Jacobson for many years, and he has ALWAYS been competent, friendly, and caring. A couple of months ago, my husband needed orthoscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus and to clean out a great deal of scar tissue. An overall great experience with attention to my concerns and history. All staff were pleasant and willing to assist with any questions. Dr. Jacobson actually put his hands on my knee to examine it and look at swelling. Most doctors don’t even touch or look at effected area.

Dr. Jacobson is in extremely knowledgeable orthopedic surgeon but his main strengths is his ability to relate on a personal level to his patience. He explains everything clearly with a wonderful personal touch. I feel very fortunate to have him as a physician and as a friend.

Dr. Jacobson is one of those rare physicians that truly cares about his patients. He always goes the extra mile to ensure the best care available is provided. He follows up with phone calls after surgery, returns phone calls very quickly and always has a smile on his face. His staff is top notch and always provides excellent care and support. There are just not enough accolades to express what a wonderful experience I have had with Dr. Jacobson and his staff. God bless them!

We have had the unfortunate but wonder experience of being treated by Dr Jacobson at Hughston, twice in the last 15 months for fractured bones. I only say unfortunate because who wants to bring their kid to a doctor for a broken bone? His staff, the PT Department and the receptionists are all wonderful. As for treatment I am very satisfied, one injury was severe and yet through proper care, advice, treatments and follow ons it went perfect. The other facture was more routine. Thank You!!!
