Dr. Kym M. Carpentieri

I had gone to her for ten years when she was in Bellport and I was very pleased with the care given me. But since she has joined this practice everything has gone down hill. The staff can be rude at times. The don't answer the phones and put you on hold sometimes as long as an hour. Impossible to get prescription renewals and I was there on Tuesday and gave her my prescriptions personally and here it is Friday and I still haven't gotten my medication. I think it's time I find a new primary care doctor. She should have never left her old practice.

Shes a total professional I couldn't more pleased having dr.carpentieri as my primary physician

Dr Sterling is most compassionate ,caring, kind doctor.I have never had a experience like this with a doctor who is so caring to me. She is very thorough. She addresses all my medical needs . I was not rushed at all She has a special interest. Which made me feel like she really cares.Her Staff are all so kind and friendly. Thank you Dr Sterling. I feel very safe knowing you are my doctor. Office staff was friendly, my appointment was promt and the dr was lovely. Got a call 2 business days after my appointment with lab results.

WARNING!!!!! STAY CLEAR!!!!! Office staff very rude, nasty, and disrespectful, especially office manager' Debra, who gets involved with patient's case for no reason where as it is the Dr's responsibility to call back and answer patient's questions....NOT the office manager who is clearly incompetent ... We as patients have rights to ask as many questions as we have regarding our health and medications and their side effects. I was nothing less than 100% disgusted by the actions of this staff and Dr. Sterling's 5 year experience as a physician is questionable and neglected me as a patient....A diabetic patient at that.....Maybe you will find this office to suit your needs, but please heed this warning and do your research as much as you can especially when Sterling prescribes your meds. I have been going to Dr. Kym Carpentieri for about two years. See is an excellent doctor who is thorough. The office staff is great. Had experience with another doctor in practice I was not happy about.

I feel like I get great attention from the doctor and it is a comfortable office with a great staff.

The doctors are wonderful, they take their time and really listen to you. The wait time to see a doctor is less than 15 minutes and the office staff are kind and courteous. I have recommended this office to many people and they have been very happy with their experience as well.

CAUTION; just do your research.. i trusted the dr.s here to take care of my medical needs.. i was wrong....dr. does not call back and follow up...knowing how sick patient was, office staff very rude and unprofessional. compare reviews and percentage of good and poor reviews...you want to choose a dr.'s office with excellent reviews....choose your primary carefully as you do not need additional drama and aggravation on top of not feeling well.. care at this office is less than satisfactory!!

She will see you if you're sick or in pain. But do not expect her to follow up or actually treat you.

My wife was extremely sick while we had a newborn, and they would not see her for 2+ weeks. They made no effort and offered no flexibility for her to be seen, and were short and rude on top of it. We switched doctors and left her practice. Two thumbs down

Dishonest with me. Runs tons of unnecessary tests. You think a new doctor just out of a central islip medical school (wow really?) would be a little conservative, but I must pay for her new double suite new office space and employees with all these uneeded tests! She Didn't even know hepatitis B is an STD! its 70% sexually acquired!

Made an appointment approximately 2weeks ago and marked the date and time in my phone and on my calendar. Prior to the scheduled appointment the receptionist, sent me out a new patient application packet with my name written on it. Today when I called to see if I could come in earlier I was told that there was no availability and that I was not even scheduled nor was there any record of my existence. I have never wrote a review in the past but this ininconvenience is upsetting and unprofessional because I took off of work and fasted since last night. Pleased with my experience in the two or so years. Appointments happen on time, staff is friendly, etc.

I recently selected Dr. Carpentieri as my primary care physician, because my PCP retired. I went for my first wellness visit, and I it was an excellent experience. My blood work and urinalysis was conducted in the office, which saved me time and energy. (I can't stand going to crowded labs.) Dr. Carpentieri has a good bedside manner and her staff members are professional, efficient and friendly. My wife and stepdaughter go to Dr. Carpentieri and have for five years and she is excellent. She is always kind, patient and takes time with them and because of her osteopathic background she only schedules necessary tests. They are both very pleased and I am considering switching from my long time doctor to see her as well.

I used to recommend people to this practice but after my most recent visit I will not any longer. The staff was rude which was surprising because they are always so kind. Maybe this was an off day? But... it's not ok when you "forget" that the patient you're talking about is 5 feet away from your open window. It's unfortunate that as a patient, you feel uncomfortable defending yourself (in any setting dentist, etc.) because THEY control your health and your outcome. Giving them 1 more chance...

I retired last year & unfortunately I had to change doctors. I was with my last Dr. for 20 years. I was recommended to go to Dr. Kym Carpentieri. I have been going to her for 7 months. She is professional, excellent communicator & I find she makes her patients feel comfortable and open. I did have several issues when I 1st started going to her and after the proper tests & diagnosis, my health has improved & I feel much better. Going to Dr. Carpentieri was my best decision.

Incompetent! I would never recommend her. My bf at the time, and I, we both got sick because this doctor didn't run the right tests and didn't tell us! I'm still paying bills for her careless mistake! She orders lots of unnecessary tests too!

Warning !! stay away !! This doctor, if you ever need her help because you got hurt at work at school at home, or someone hit you from behind in your car and it's not your fault and their insurance company won't pay unless your doctor writes a letter saying you were healthy before the accident you won't win because she won't write the letter because she's either too lazy or doesn't care. Didnt know Hep B was an STD. Didnt even tell me not testing men for certain STDS. incompetent...

Dr. Carpentieri was highly recommended by many of my friends who had her as their primary care physician. I switched to her because I felt my doctor had just gotten too busy and the waiting time at his office was just too long. She took me on as a new patient and spent a good amount of time discussing my medical history and I was impressed with her empathy and knowledge. I'm glad I listened to my friends!

Absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever been to. She is very caring and understanding and has your well being at the top of the list. She also wants feed back from you about your care so you feel a real part of the whole process not just a number. She has been my doctor for 2 years and I feel there is nothing she wouldn't do for me. 100% recommendation for anyone that wants a really great doctor.
