I wish I thought to visit this lady's reviews before I used her services. I don't know who is worse, the receptionist or Badella. Theres so much to say. I don't understand why there is no remorse for a patient who you did not notify or make contact with for an entire 3 weeks, knowing at the last conversation that the patient was out of medication. Please. I hope everyone decides to check Badella's reviewsand remember her name, so they don't find themselves in a bind. Totally disappointed. Badella removed me from my medications cold turkey contrary to common medical practice and discharged me from her practice without warning! I had horrible withdraw and I was lucky to not be hospitalized. Shes constantly behind schedule and makes patients wait for a half hour or more so don't bother showing up on time. When you do see her she seems like she has somewhere better to be. Bad experience. Yawns when you talk. Looks disinterested- seems like a know it all. Receptionist is angry and needs meds. The fact that badella keeps her tells you something about her.

Looking for a compassionate and caring psychiatrist who will listen to your needs and show empathy towards you as a patient and a person? Save your time and go somewhere else. My first appointment with Dr. Baddela was very disappointing. I was taken back 30 minutes late, and when i finally was able to start talking to her, i was interrupted by what seemed to be friends of Dr. Baddela walking in and talking for around 5 minutes— very unprofessional. I was then given a prescription for my ADD, which i had terrible side effects from so i tried 4 TIMES! in the span of a month to get in contact with Dr. Baddela after one of my follow up appointments had to get rescheduled.. no luck. And to put the cherry on top of my experience with this “practice”, my mother went into her office today to try to get a form filled out (for my college so they are aware of my diagnoses), only to have her very rude secretary tell her that I have been discharged as a patient and i have to get another doctor to fill my form out. This came with no warning at all and it was especially surprising, considering all the times i tried to call and make another appointment. Like I had first stated, save you time and go to someone who is more professional and caring. Seems conscientious at first but ultimately is putting profit before patients. Caution advised.

Cold, yawns as if bored, doesn't remember what was discussed prior, asks repetitive questions you have given her the answer to, doesn't listen and generally gives off the vibe of couldn't care less about you. I've seen her 5 times and it hasn't gotten any better. I just want help and im not sure Im going to get it from her. I do not recommend her in the least! Same as other complaints; misdiagnoSed and fed pills for depression when I had something physiologically and medically wrong with my stomach and digestion which was also a miss by my primary care. Dr Badella not only put me on an additional antidepressant I did not need, but she also left me a voicemail on my work phone listing All medications I was on which is absolutely inappropriate for any one in the medical profession. You do not leave personal information on a voicemail. Terrible on one disease she had completely wrong bus this malpractice. Also have yet to see her original had written notes. Refused to accommodate hearing loss/deafness. Made decisions without medical backup. Saw her at upper Chesapeake Medical Center where she said she was “new” they really do need to check out a person before they hire them. She has been excellent to me. Easy to work with and she understands anxiety disorders.

Wrongly diagnosed me with Bipolar I disorder and treated me with a medication that gave me insane side effects. It was dangerous and when I asked her to change, she just kept increasing my dose. Do not go to her.

Dr. Baddela should not be practicing medicine. She is crazy and dangerous...Prescription errors...will not change her mistakes. Like another patient, she caused a seizure that the fire department had to force my door open. I almost died!!! I am suing!

Dr. BADDELA is extremely knowledgeable and thorough! She takes the time to figure out what is the best course of action! I highly recommend Dr. BADDELA and Thank her for her kindness!

EXTREMELY rude. Made rude comments about how I was feeling and the medications my doctor previously had me on. THEN with all of her wisdom her best advice was to put me on a medication that I am highly allergic to. Something that I obviously stated in my paperwork. Don’t waste your time, money, and frustration.

I’ve gone weeks without my prescription being refilled because she won’t respond to requests by my pharmacy to fill them, nor will she answer my attempts to have her be in touch with the pharmacy. Kicked out of her practice because I took another doctors advice over hers. She is very controlling and will manipulate your words to fit a diagnosis. Luckly found a new doctor who took me off all the meds Badella prescribed because they were for a condition I didnt have. Wow. Misdiagnosed and fed pills for another condition. Always 20 min behind your appointment time. Their records for copayments are in a notebook so prepare to fight them because not every receptionist knows how to use the book and will charge for more than one visit. I have seen Dr Baddela for years. I agree that she appears to seem distant, but she really isn’t. Every psychiatrist that I have met have the same demeanor, but that is what I would expect. As far as the office staff I personally find them pleasant and easy to talk to. I gave 4 stars because I agree there is some communication problems with returning calls. I have had to wait past my appointment time with her but I have had the same with every doctor I have seen. She doesn’t rush you out and actually takes the time to listen, so I would think that is why she doesn’t appear to be on time. I would recommend her. I have seen Dr Baddela for years. More of a technician, tweaking your settings, than a caring physician. More than willing to place you on long-term medication cycles for drugs not meant to be taken longer than several weeks. Will neither inform you of the serious cognitive and neural side-effects of long-term use of these drugs, nor recommend alternatives, then will have the nerve to openly ridicule you for daring to go outside her advice, or attempting any other course, even after the damage is apparent.

Horrible experience. Always waited an hour or more to be seen. Cannot get in touch with her for atleat three days. Let my daughter run out of meds for over a week even after numerous calls to her emregency answering serve and the receptionist. The receptionist sheduled her appointement past 30 days and i was told by the doctoe that it was my responsibility to make sure she got an appointment in time so she wouldnt run out. Horrible bedside manner and she discharged my daughter with only 1 month of meds without filling out her home school paperwork that she was required to do as her treating psychiatrist. I've been seeing Doc B for almost four years and have found her very helpful. At first she comes off as distant, maybe why others have taken her as uncaring, but she has always been extremely kind and considerate while helping me!

Dr Baddela stares out the window when you try to talk to her. Always complaining of allergies. Seems to have zero interest in really helping you. I was not feeling any better on the medications she prescribed and she had zero interest in helping me find the correct medication.

????I chose this doctor as I relocated to the area. I have not had more than 6 visits with her. She is always late. Not a big deal... happens with everything. She doesn't seem focused or caring. 0 eye contact and yawns, stares out the window, complains about allergies. She is ANTI benZo type of drug RX. She made a mistake with my prescription &when I called and spoke to her whack secretary,nothing happened. Im having seizures, withdrawal symptoms. Never followed up as promised on phone. HORRIBLE

I know there is some negative feedback here, but wanted to put in my review. I came in as a first-time patient. The medication I tried was a bit too strong and I needed a lower dose. Each time I called about medication, she called me right back the same day. She was very responsive to my needs. Her office is a bit short staffed of help, but you will get a call back.

Dr Baddella stares out the window when I talk to her. She doesn't seem to be interested in how I am feeling & is an extreme disappointment after having Dr Solberg as my psychiatrist for 3 years. I am looking for another doctor as I write this as I cannot wait to find another doctor in the area!

Absolutely terrible! She has written me incorrect prescriptions at least 3x. Her receptionist is rude and will overcharge you if you don't pay VERY close attention (I end up having to do the math on my phone at the same time just to be safe). The doctor is so cold, extremely unhelpful and could care less about you. She cancels appointments constantly and is always running late because her receptionist double-books her (and she will rush your appointment as such!) After being a patient for 4 years (it's difficult to find a doctor that works with my hours) I was discharged for using her after hours line ONCE with a medical concern (that clearly could not wait until the next day!)
