Dr. Landon Eugene Poppleton

Though 12 years has past, I will never forget Poppleton informing me that I was trying to Manipulate him and that I was lying. However, I was telling him the truth and thank goodness his report had no affect on our custody outcome. Just as I informed him, I had an agreement with my ex and she gave me custodial custody. In my opinion, Poppleton is grossly incompetent, or at least he was in my case. He failed to recognize that I was the care giver in the family. He mistook my love and passion for my daughters as detrimental. Poppleton failed, but I lucky for my daughters, I would not give up. I raise my daughters on my own as the custodial parent. I was a positive role molded for my daughters as I attained my Bachelors in Accounting and then my MBA. I coached my daughters in sports. My older daughter was the school president, varsity starter in three HS sports with a 3.96 GPA and now off to Oregon State for engineering . My younger daughter Is also a three sport varsity starter and she has a 4.0GPA. Just shocking to that Poppleton made this error in judgment with me. Maybe he like to call me a liar again. If so, I would hope he would do his research this time or at least check out my social media post so that he will know that I am telling facts just as I did 12 years ago. Do not go to him! He will take months longer to come to a conclusion than he promised. I barely saw him… just his intern. And then he writes out his opinion, which wasn’t even thorough. He completely messed up (understatement) my sons life! I have nothing good to say about him.

You stole my daughter from me and now we are coming for you !

I believe it's fair to share your experience if you plan to leave a 1 star. Very unprofessional. My first two appointments they had me go to their Vancouver location and he wasn't there. My second visit I arrived and he was out sick and never called me. Once I finally met Dr. Poppleton he spent about an hour with me discussing legal paperwork and took my $10,000. He told me I would meet with him over the next several months on and off and never saw him again until my last session. The entire 3-4 month evaluation I met with a young intern student. The last session I show up and I meet with Dr. Poppleton that I had not seen for months. He tells me everything I want to hear, states he would be willing to go to court on my behalf if he needed to. Next thing I know he sends out a report siding with my ex wife. I was shocked. My attorney attempted to reach out to him several times and no response. I have no idea how someone can make one of the most important decisions in my life regarding my daughter based off spending 20 mins with me telling me what I want to hear. I was very thankful the final outcome was far from what his report suggested. He should have actually spent time with me and understood who I am as a father. Having a intern feed him notes on a computer isn't how you should conclude someone's most important decisions in their life when it comes to their kids. I have had custody of my son for 12 years and he is an honor roll student and now I get to make sure my daughter follows in his foot steps thanks to my attorney. If you’re looking for someone to tell you what you want to hear or sugar coat your situation he’s not your guy. On the contrary, if you are looking for a fair, intuitive professional, with a mountain of experience in local courts, Landon IS your man. Landon’s words of wisdom, strong moral character and 30,000 foot view of my case helped me more than I can even explain in this review. I am convinced his services were instrumental in my very favorable dissolution and parenting time outcome. He also helped me better understand the other personalities involved in my case and provided me with many personal tools and strategies to maintain emotional balance through one of the most excruciating periods of my life. In the realm of family law, a normal and reasonable person can quickly find themselves drowning in a nonsensical whirlwind of profit driven attorneys and a system that doesn’t seem to make sense in terms of “right and wrong”. Landon is bright light that will help illuminate your path and help you keep your eye on the big picture when you’re feeling extremely emotional and even irrational while fighting for your children. To be honest I wish he could have verified more for the amount of money we spent, but over all I give him a 5 becuse of his knowledge in this area and wisdom to see though lies. He is like a human lie detector so if you have a mass manipulator you are up against he can help a Judge see a more clear picture. He did a good job and if you have to hire an evaluator he helps it go by smoother. Dr. Poppleton made fair and balanced decisions in my case. I had a generally positive experience.

Dr. Poppleton has been nothing but a professional and respected doctor. I have nothing negative to say about him.

He was terrible. He had his intern do the testing with my child. He never met my child until he gave me the results. He completely misdiagnosed my child. The psychiatrist my child was seeing at the time called the report and diagnosis crude. DO NOT TRUST HIM OR HIS COLLEGUES. I highly recommend Tobias Ryan PsyD. He charges 1/3 of DR. Poppletons fee. I was not court ordered to see him. So please don't write this review off as an angry parent. Please learn from my mistake. Go somewhere else!!

Dr. Poppleton and his staff have always been more than helpful to me and my son. The Neuropsychological Evaluation they did for my son was the most thorough testing I have ever seen done. Dr. Poppleton was very easy to understand when he explained the scoring and evaluation of my son's mental problems. Without him and his staff we would have never known how to help my son live with his limitations. If you want a expert in his field, Dr. Poppleton is the best.
