Dr. Laura H Berglund

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Berglund and when he arrived at the location he realized that he did not have a mask (which they state is a requirement) He searched his whole car (trunk included) to search for one, but to no avail. When he went in to the office, the receptionist informed him that he was late (12 minutes exactly) and that he would need to reschedule. Now I ask: how many times has patients had to wait in the waiting room to see their Physician?? Every time- and I mean EVERY TIME- the Doctor has NEVER seen a patient EXACTLY on the time that they’re appointment was scheduled. Yet this receptionist REFUSED to listen to my husband explain why, nor did she even bother to check with Dr. Berglund to see if she could see him. (It was a routine check up) Please know that this was his FIRST time being late in all the years he has been a patient. Is this a common practice in this office??…… I will be searching for a new PCP for my husband, which is a shame because Dr. Berglund is a good Physician. I've been De.Berglund's patient for about 30 yrs. I've followed her from Durham NC to Mebane NC, I also travel 2 1/2 hrs to see her, since I've moves twice. I is one of my Dr's that truly cares and listens, her nursing staff as well.. her current office staff are very rude and could give a hoot about the patients but I'm not there to see them. I'll remain with Dr. Berglund until she retires or one of us pass.. I appreciate her so very much.... I've been De.Berglund's patient for about 30 yrs. Dr. Berglund and her nurses are fabulous. Front desk staff is incredibly rude and abusive.

Dr. Berglund is fantastic. That being said..her office people / set-up is hard to work with. I got a reminder for 10:45 apt. They have the same "arrive 15 min before your apt" as many others. I get there at 10:40 and they won't see me. I am high risk for covid...have been going there for over 10 years, and have to wait the 15 minutes (in the exam room anyway) so I don't see the value in being "early". Funny because they said my appt was for 10:30...lol the 15 nmin. "built in". So, if you are busy or travel far...think twice.

She is very arrogant and should not be practicing medicine for mental illness. Maybe she is better with other areas of medicine but do not go to her for any mental illness issues. My father died under her care due to a drug that has suicidal thoughts as a side effect. She did not do blood work on him while at the first doctor's visit and when his wife pleaded with her at the follow up doctor's visit to change his medicine she did not. Later that same day of his follow up doctor's visit he died by suicide. Medicine/drugs are a wonderful tool but when you are dealing with mental illness, people who truly know the patient are your best tool! If I can help even one person and/or their family not go through this, this review will be worth it!

I like Dr Berglund very much. She listens to me, and is very down to earth, kind and caring.

She doesn't see older patients That's what I was told when I called for a appointment. I had to give 1 star but didn't want to

Dr. Laura always patiently listens to my complaints about my aches and pains I really feel she has my best interest at heart. She has been very involved with my test with follow up answers to all my many questions. She’s the best!

I was seeing Dr. Berglund for approximately a year when I started having some health issues. I had done some research prior to my appointment and was pretty sure my thyroid was the cause of my symptoms. I requested lab work to be done and it was confirmed that my thyroid was completely out of whack. She was not going to start me on any meds but I insisted. 3 months later, I found out I was pregnant. High TSH can cause miscarriages but she did not want to increase my dose or check my labs.

Very though and professional and always prescribes the medications to solve my problem at the time needed.Dr Berglund also follows up from other MDs to keep up to date on my over all health. I have five daughters and have told them if they ever need to change Dr. to call on Dr. Berglund. .
