Dr. Laurie Ann Solomon

Kind , knowledgeable and professional Dr. Solomon was my physician at FRC and today I follow up one year later, checking in and continued care. Thank y’all

Dr. Lori Solomon reported inaccurate information on my PRN evaluation. For example, she said that I was discharged from my Christian discipleship program for mental health. They do not have mental health counselors or anything like that there and do not discharge people for mental health. I spoke to the Director there and verified that she did not tell Dr. Solomon this. I also reached out to Dr. Solomon‘s office to try to discuss this with her supervisor and they failed to contact me back. She also failed to contact my references including one who is a pastor. she stated in her report that she was unable to reach them. According to all three of my very good and faithful Christian references including a pastor they never got a call from Dr. Solomon or a message to know to call her back. Dr. Solomon raised her voice at me during our meeting and told me I do not understand the science behind addiction. She also told me she was a Christian at the beginning of our meeting and so of course I knew she must understand that Jesus can heal people of addiction. She did not seem agree with that theology from the Bible apparently. I have no mental health conditions nor do I have any physical health conditions. I am of sound mind. My intention for sharing this information it’s only to help other people. It is my hope that Dr. Solomon will eventually reach out and correct the wrong that she did to me including going in front of PRN and the respiratory therapy board and correcting her report publicly. I have since gotten licensure in the state of Florida after getting a fair and unbiased report. However at this point if you’re one of your PRN evaluation to go well, I cannot recommend Dr. Solomon. I wish I could give her 0 stars. Avoid this doctoe and seek out a real professional. She pushes for reduction of meds because her personal belief is that sobriety is the cure to everything. Sobriety is 100 percent important. However, it is completely unacceptable to reduce a bipolar patient's medication in an attempt to completely stop medication administration because "pills can't fix alcoholism." A licensed medical professional should be smart enough to realize that people with mental health disorders often use alcohol to self medicate when they arent being given adequate care for a mental health diagnosis.
