both myself and my husband are patients of Dr. Carlsson’s and I have diabetes and other health issues and contrary to what the previous person wrote in their review, I have found quite the opposite with Dr. Carlsson he has always been very straightforward with his advice and always let me know what he felt was best for me and my situation in his opinion, he did not just tell me what he thought I wanted to hear he told me what I needed to hear about my health and what I needed to do to take care of myself and I feel that he is a very good and experienced doctor and has always taken good care and given good advice to me and my husband and I would highly recommend this doctor I feel that he listens to you and understands that sometimes you may not always want to hear what he has to say but it needs to be said because it is in the best interest of a patient’s health, and from the beginning he had recommended a colonoscopy for my husband because of his age and has always kept us up on what different preventative care we needed to do because of our age , I also wanted to mention that Dr. Carlsson had also taken care of my mom for many many years before she eventually passed of dementia and Alzheimer’s but she always talked about how she liked him as a doctor, so I just wanted to write this review because I appreciate the fact that Dr. Carlsson gives you the information that you need but he’s also respectful to let people make their own decisions about their healthcare without making them feel bad for not maybe always exactly taking his advice, which I greatly appreciate because I have a lot of things going on in my life that’s difficult to deal with and I’m also trying to manage my healthcare and sometimes I don’t always do the best job of following the doctor‘s advice but I do try hard to do so but Dr. Carlsson doesn’t make me feel horrible for not doing that and that does mean a lot to me, so this review is an honest review of my personal experience with this doctor and also my husband’s experience, I must say I have not been able in 30 years of being married, to get my husband to a doctor much he just does not like going at all and I had a really tough time trying to get him to go to Dr. Carlsson at first just because he was a doctor and It’s just hard for him, it was nothing personal towards Dr. Carlsson at all but I will tell you the first time he went and he walked out of his appointment ,he told me how much he liked Dr. Carlsson and now he has no problem going in for his check ups and required visits, so I’m grateful that my husband has a doctor now that he feels comfortable with. My mother in law has been under Dr. Carlsson’s care for the last 30 years and now (thankfully) at 67 she has decided to switch doctors to get a better hold on her diabetes. She is also scheduled to have a colonoscopy for the first time in her life - FOR THE FIRST TIME! Where is the preventative care from this doctor!??? He is reckless beyond belief because he does what the patient wants and not what is ultimately best for their health. Completely irresponsible. Dr. Carlsson is a wonderful physician that genuinely cares about his patients.

Dr Carlsson has been our family doctor for many years. He is always available to us on short notice and has helped us recover from many illnesses over the years.

They always get me in for a timely exam or consultation, return my phone calls promptly, and the front office staff is personable, polite, and caring. Dr. Carlsson is very knowledgeable and practicle, and Barb Kolden is the best for my family's care since 1992. They exceed the standard for what a family practice should be.

Best doctor ever! Five yrs ago my family moved and I decided to try another physician that was closer to our new home. NO ONE comes close to Carlsson, I ended up going back to him after I learned just how different he is from other practitioners. I now drive 45 minutes happily to see him, because is is the best out there and I pray more Doctor's strive to be more like him. He listens, remebers and refuses to quit.

Has the knowledge necessary to diagnios, stays on it until problem is solved, keeps in touch, calls the patient himself, excellent staff, excellent communication, always there when you need him....
