Extremely professional staff, Dr. Strong is very through. I highly recommend this practice

I had a 11:40 appt and didn't see him until 1:15. When I brought this to his attention, he noted I had complained before. "I've saved you life 3 times," was his response. This physician has no respect for his patients time.

Dr. Lawrence Strong is an exemplary health provider! He is a hands-on Doctor who listens and explains well, his examination is thorough and proactively makes observations of anything that needs your attention. Highly recommended experience.

I’m not one to write reviews, but Dr. Strong and his staff are very deserving. The care I received left me impressed. I was a new patient, yet they treated me like I was family, even finding a way to fit me in the same day when I found myself in severe pain. So accommodating, so friendly. Dr. Strong will immediately make you feel comfortable, and Sally is a gem! I highly recommend Dr. Strong and his staff.

After my long time dermatologist retired I took a few years hiatus but as a 70 year old Florida surfing/fishing native it was time to get checked. I liked the first place my wife and I tried but when a new tic tac sized black spot on her thigh and a few new areas on me appeared, the doc said, “Don’t worry, it’s nothing.” Older and wiser, we went to Dr. Strong for a second opinion… it was something. Upon biopsy, wife had her spot cut out and two of my three were precancerous. We have seen both Melissa and Dr. Strong and are elated to finally have a practice we can both feel completely comfortable with. Highly recommended.

I wrote a raving review of Dr. Strong when my daughter and I saw him 6 months ago, and after seeing him again this morning, I would like to write another one. I went to see Dr. Strong this morning because two "spots" developed on my arm, and with a history of cancer, I was worried. Dr. Strong examined and treated the spots, and took the time to reassure me that I was not facing cancer. Taking into account my history of cancer, and without my having to even ask, Dr. Strong proceeded to do a full head-to-toe checkup (which I was not scheduled for). He found and preventatively treated things that I was not even aware I had. Besides being grateful to Dr. Strong for the time that he spent on my care, I am also very appreciative because it is clear to me that Dr. Strong prioritizes patient care over seeing as many patients as possible. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Strong to anyone that wants a smart and caring doctor who will go above and beyond to make sure you are receiving the best care. Just note: you might have a long wait in the waiting room as Dr. Strong really takes his time with his patients. Please be patient and understanding as you will also benefit from Dr. Strong's generosity with time. I want to thank Dr. Strong for his caring and consideration of a request that I made to his office. I moved out of state two years ago and called requesting the name of a condition that caused extreme itching below my shoulder blade and that the doctor had checked on my last visit. My daughter and I had our first appointment with Dr. Strong and his wonderful assistant the other day. We were referred to Dr. Strong by Dr. Larry Bergman, an EXCELLENT doctor who also happens to be a family friend and my daughter's pediatrician. He told us that we could not go wrong with Dr. Strong, and he was right! As it turned out, Dr. Strong exceeded all of our expectations in every way!! To start, it was clear that Dr. Strong is knowledgeable, extremely competent, and up to date on all of the current treatments and approaches. We asked A LOT of questions and he answered every one of them patiently, and with detailed explanations and references to charts that are on his door and wall. He even steered us away from certain "online treatments" that we were interested in because they are expensive and ineffective and he did not want us to waste our money. We appreciated that. Dr. Strong also asked us a lot of questions, and took careful note of our medical histories and concerns. This meant a lot to us because each of us have complicated medical histories, and we feel strongly that any doctor we work with would need to consider our medical histories before determining or ruling out a particular treatment. Because of our family's history of cancer, Dr. Strong wanted to remove some irregular moles from my and my daughter's skin. While I was fine with that, my daughter, who suffers from anxiety, was reluctant. Dr. Strong PATIENTLY and CARINGLY explained every step of the procedure to her, and helped her to understand the risk of leaving an irregular mole on her skin. While she finally agreed to have the mole removed, she had an anxiety/panic attack during the procedure. Dr. Strong comforted her, and reassured her, while wiping her face and neck with paper towels that he soaked in cold water. He did this until she felt better. I could not get over the time that he took to comfort her and to make sure that she was alright. He could have easily passed this on to an assistant and gone on to his next patient, but he didn't. And in the end, he normalized the whole experience by telling us a sweet story about his mother who is also "somewhat anxious." Before we left, Dr. Strong told us how nice it was to meet us, and told us to call him if we had any concerns. What a gentleman! For anyone that is looking for THE BEST dermatologist, who is also a kind and attentive person, Dr. Strong is the doctor for you. I recommend him whole-heartedly! Wish I would have read these other reviews before I made an appointment….HORRIBLE service. Waited over an hour to be brought out of the waiting room, then another 30 minutes to see the Doctor until I just couldn’t wait any longer. Only THEN did the doctor appear out of another room when we were walking out - saying he would be with us in 30 seconds. No apologizes at any point. We left and never saw the Doctor. This was.my first appt with Dr Strong, I found him to be very thorough and educational when he was performing my full body skin scan. He has a very good bedside manner and the ladies at the desk were exceptional also.

Terrible service. Had a scheduled appointment and was treated like a walk in. Waited to be seen for over 1 hour and 10 minutes with no explanation as to why i was being delayed nor apology for wasting my time. Never once did I see the Doctor. Never will i return there.

This is my third appointment with Dr Strong and each time I go I find myself waiting longer and longer and longer. Today it was sitting in my car for an hour and 15 mins. I had a 4:00 appointment and the office closes at 5 and here it is 5:15 and I still haven’t even been called in. Last time I had the appointment right after lunch waited 40 mins in my car and another 40 mins in the room. The office staff recommended this appt one bc they close at 5 and obviously that hasn’t helped the wait time either.

Dr. Lawrence Strong was the worst doctor I've ever encountered. Rude, demeaning and unprofessional. Called my daughter vain and brought her to tears. He said he couldn't help her after we declined Accutane.Why is this man still in practice? DO NOT bring your teenage daughter to him.

As a doctor myself I see things from a different perspective than patients. Dr Strong scores 100% with me as a fellow doctor and patient. If I could rate any lower I would.Never in my life have I seen such unprofessionalism coming from a doctor.Upon entering the room,Dr.Strong did not bother greeting me properly and seemed rushed to treat me.After telling him my list of symptoms,he began tossing my hair around to see if I was telling the truth.To disprove my claims of hair loss,he began painfully pulling my hair to see if any hair could be pulled out.In less then 2 minutes he decided that I was making all my symptoms up.After hearing this I tried to explain the extensive hair loss I had but before I could finish sentence he interjected and said,"Are you going to keep interrupting me?".He then began to explain that he was the doctor and he would have the final say in the matter.When trying to explain myself for the 3rd time in 5 minutes he threatened that he "was about to leave the room in 2 seconds".To which I told him that he could do as he pleased.Never have I ever been treated with such disrespect in a doctors office.

I went to see Dr. Strong about two minor issues. He was insistent that he could help me with something else. I did not go to him for this other area, but he was so insistent that I let him proceed. My mistake. It is noticeably more visible and pronounced now. I do not trust this Doctor and I don't think others should.

I’ve got nothing but good things to say about Dr. Strong. He has taken wonderful care of my husband for many years. I’ve been going to him for the past year or so. He is very caring and professional. He always spends enough time with me and explains everything in detail. The staff in the office is very friendly! I highly recommend Dr. Strong!

Just had my first visit with Dr Strong. Read some comments about a very long wait but I went anyway. I really didn't wait very long. Personally, I'll wait all day if it's for a doctor that's really good. Dr Strong was extremely thorough, very professional, and had excellent bedside manner. Explained everything to me very thoroughly and didn't mind repeating himself when I needed clarification. I will definitely be returning to him and if I have to wait a bit it's my pleasure.

I had Botox once with this doc. He dilutes Botox 5 times more than recommended by Allergan. His price is also twice expensive from others. In summary, you will be overcharged for a weak diluted Botox that won't last long.

The physician assistant doesn’t know how to do Botox in forehead properly. Then they try to convince you it’s you & not them. Do scroll down to the other many 1 star reviews. They wouldn’t fix their bad job because they thought I wouldn’t pay for it but actually I would have paid for it to be fixed. But they were so defensive and not taking any responsibility for the lump in forehead that was never there before! I will never return and they will never get another penny from me. He has a great team of providers (female dermatologist, NP, PA, Board Certified Mohs Surgeon and aesthetician) who all work with him to deliver impeccable care! Our family switched to Dr. Strong and his team three years ago. I will note that we left Waters Edge after numerous billing issues and disputes. We chose Dr. Strong after several friends' recommendations. Over this time our family of four have seen the Nurse Practitioner, the Physicians Assistant and three of us have also seen Dr. Strong. After 6mos of various Drs: includes changes from an old PCP -a New 1. All this resulted in: various topical Tx from both PCPs & my Neurologist, a waisted $$$$.$$ visit to JFK ER last Dec they didn't help either! Verbal referral visit to a Dermatologist from my Neurologist, that didn't work , on my lip I left several msgs to his office staff ,& Emergency number due to a reaction from his Tx! I had to use local MDNow more $$$.$$! Next a misdiagnosis that resulted in me taking 2 unneeded meds w/in 1.5 mos time and SE, more waisted $$$.$$ ! I finally found a Dermatologist who knows what is wrong w/ my lower lip & I'm now able to be out in Public no longer:Lip twitching, peeling, my Speech,Eating pattern has started to improved . I just moved to the area and my neighbor recommended Dr Strong to me. I was very pleased with the staff and with Dr Strong. He took time to answer all my questions, treated several areas, was caring, approachable, and even though he recommended a product he sells, he in no way tried to push the product. As it turns out I priced the product on line and at the drug store and he was less expensive than all of them. I went back and bought the product which has helped tremendously.

Strong lied to me. He didn't have me sign the release form for removing skin from me until AFTER he removed the skin samples. He told me removing skin from 4 diff areas rather than 1 would not cost me anything more. He said he did not have to remove skin from 4 areas, only 1, it was just cosmetic. The only reason I agreed to 4 was b/c I believed him. Then I received the bill. His staff now says it said so on the release form - which I wasn't shown until AFTER he removed 4 samples.

Doctor was VERY rude and used profanity on the phone with me. Extremely unprofessional, especially because he needed MY help for something. I would never visit this office.

This place lost any care about patients. If i have to rate speed of service 1(worst) out of 10 (best)....it would be 0. For customer service also 0. I've been patient there for 10 years, but last visit was my last. Changing doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Strong for about a year and a half and I absolutely love him. I go every 3 to 4 months and I'm extremely happy with the way my skin looks. He's honest about what I need and doesn't try to convince me to get treatments that aren't necessary. I was curious about fillers and he told me I didn't need them, instead of just saying yes and taking my money for something I really didn't need. There have been a couple of times where the wait was long. But that is not a normal occurrence. I understand sometimes things happen that will cause delays, happens anywhere, but most of my visits are very fast and the staff is always very friendly. I highly recommend Dr. Strong. Dr. Strong is a great doctor. He is very good at what he does. Very charming and a good sense of humor. He made me feel at ease when I had my biopsy done. He walked me though the procedure and answered all my questions. His nurses are very friendly and care about the patients.

The office made me wait for a extra hour even though I had an appointment, talked to the dr for 10 min then he wrote me a prescription WITHOUT telling me the price of it. When I picked up my prescription I was told it is $334!!! $334!!! It is just an acne gel...Shouldn't the dr tell his patient if he will prescribe such a ridiculously pricy thing? It seems to me like he and the Finacea company has a business relationship and he prescribe their $344 dollar product to his patient. Do NOT recommend

Even though I had an appointment, the office made me wait over two hours. After my perfunctory checkup with the Doctor, the office then overcharged me by $60 for a standard appointment. Do NOT recommend.

Dr. Lawrence Strong is a caring and informative doctor. My office visit went smoothly. I was seen on time and Dr. Strong took time for all my concerns. I would highly recommend this doctor and will be going to him in the future.

Went in for him to check something. Waited over 2 hours. Actual time spent with dr was less than 10 min. He immediately referred me to a different dr and then proceeded to remove a freckle I've had since birth even though I told him I was fine with it (and he's seen the 2 previous times I've been in his office). Just received bill for almost $300!! Hubby (who works in insurance field) said dr did an unnecessary and unwanted procedure so he can bill me/ insurance company.

I am so happy with the service I experienced with Dr. Strong. I was a new patient and felt he listened to my concerns and addressed them directly. He took all the time I needed, and I did not feel he was rushing to the next room in his busy office. I especially liked his manner with his assistant who was young and, apparently, new to her job. He made gentle correction and included her in identifying my condition. I appreciate that in a professional. I am so happy with the service I experienced with Dr. Strong. If you like obnoxious New Yorkers with the TV set blasting out Ellen and Oprah then you will love this place. They act like they are doing you a BIG favor. My feeling is that obnoxious employees reflect obnoxious management. I would never return to this hellhole. Do yourself a favor and find a nice relaxing spa. There are plenty in the area. Aweful Doctor!!! He waters down his Botox so it doesn't last as long and it has a chance of going to the wrong place. He is a coward and does not keep his word when he says, "If you have any problems, just come back and I will fix it" Instead, he belittles you in front of his staff and tries to make it your mistake instead of his. And basically kicks you out of his office and tells you to find another Dr. to fix his mistake. This was my experience after being a loyal patient to him and the one time I went back( after my right eyebrow had a hook at the end of it after 4 days after botox injection by him) I have resorted to reshaping that eyebrow by tweezing and eyebrow pencil, but it would have been nice to depend on him to make things right!! I don't normally write online reviews about anything, but I felt the need to write a review for Dr. Lawrence Strong having gone to Dr. Strong for several years now with nothing but positive experiences. My family are also patients of Dr. Strong. I have been to some terrible doctors in the area; Dr. Strong is a diamond in the rough. He is genuinely interested in his patients, and he takes great care to understand exactly what is going on with each of his patients. He also explains everything as he goes along, which is really helpful! No lectures, attitude, or other manner of unpleasantness, just a good natured informative guy who took his time to make sure I left healthy and satisfied. The office staff also was extremely friendly and accommodating!
