Does anyone want to like a doctor? Not my favourite people to befriend, often patronising and full of self importance. Not so in this case, I have the utmost respect for Dr.Kirsch not only professional and honest but determined to do the best for his patients. I first met when at my wits end and losing my vision he wasted no time and though unsure of what had just happened I walked out wondering if I sould have asked more questions. Within 24 hours I was reading my phone messages with relative ease and from that day forth and many visits my trust and faith just grew. Dr. Kirsch performed Lasik surgery on me to remove cataracts that were robbing me of my vision. During the lengthy recovery period, now that he could see the back of my eye more clearly, he forewarned me that it looked like I had an artery blockage and sent me to a specialist. It was determined that I had a 65% blockage, but it was not severe enough to do surgery. Fast forward a couple of years, I had a TIA event which uncovered that the blockage was now at 85%. Quick story - surgery was conducted, I feel great, and my vision is much improved. Thank you Dr. Kirsch!!!!

I've been coming here for 20 years and I love the staff here!! Dr. Kirsch and Lee and Cat are Awesome ?? They get me in right away if I'm having any problem with my eyes. I've had several procedures and surgeries done here and they are the Best!! Much love to all of you!!

The front desk and nursing staff is really outstanding; all are pleasant, courteous, helpful and seem like they enjoy their work. Dr. Kirsch made me feel completely comfortable, and I feel I have the right doctor for my eyes.

If you have a retina issue Dr Kirsch is the Doctor you want to be looking into your eye. He is honest, forthright, and committed. Just be sure that you are listening intently. He does not like to repeat himself.

I would never go to another Retina specialist, no matter the reason. Dr. Kirsch has a great personality, is a skilled professional and has a fabulous and well trained staff. I highly recommend Dr. Kirsch.

For 8 years, since I discovered I had Central Serous Retinopathy, I was never given hope for this progressive, loss of central vision disease. Then I found Dr. Kirsch. For the 1st time, a doctor had the confidence and know-how to offer treatment to stop the leakage around my retina. You can imagine my joy and relief that I finally found Dr. Kirsch. He immediately puts you at ease and his level of expertise is apparent upon meeting him. I felt like he was reading my mind, he knew my symptoms and condition so well. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kirsch and the Eye Institute of West Florida!

He was absolutely amazing. So caring, so patient, explained things very thoroughly. I was really nervous but he reassured me with every step. I have retinopathy and had been receiving shots quite frequently. He suggested laser treatment for a permanent solution.

I have been Dr. Kirsch's patient for 10 years. He saved the eyesight in my left eye by correcting a retina surgery done in Illinois.

I see Dr. Kirsch yearly as follow up on previous retina surgery. He is very thorough and reviews records year to year to ensure nothing has changed dramatically. He is very easy to work with and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Kirsch has saved my eyesight for many years now. I know others with macular degeneration that have not had the good fortune to have my dr. and their outcome has been different. The Doctor is always friendly and yet concerned. A perfect mix, don't you think? He surrounds himself with capable people to make the whole procedure special. it is always good to know that you are getting the best eye care when you have vision problems and that is what you get from Dr. Kirsch.

From the warm reception at the front door and throughout my visit, I felt welcome and well informed. Wait times were reasonable. Mike, who did my initial exam was personable and knowledgeable. Dr. Kirsch was also very good natured and made me feel comfortable. He left me feeling that I knew more about my condition now than I had from my previous Dr. from another practice. The final person who finished up my appointment was also quite aimiable and proficient. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Dr Kirsch is one of a kind. He is an amazing surgeon and checks my eye thoroughly at each follow up. He genuinely cares for each of his patients. I would recommend him to everyone. He’s also such a joy to see. Only downside is the wait to see him is long and it’s often challenging when you are still needing to work. But he always fits you in if you need an important treatment on the fly, he never turns his patients away. He will come in an open the surgical suite to fix you up when needed.

Dr. Kirsch truly cares about his patients and their well being. He thoroughly explains everything about your condition and he gives options for the best results. He is so knowledgeable and so attentive. I would recommend him very highly.

In my opinion, Dr. Kirsch was rude, seemed pre-occupied, and did not show any compassion or patience in discussing problems I have had following cataract surgery. The medical records were sent to him over two months ago but I have not heard back with any ideas on how the problems may have arisen or any solutions.

Very thorough and personable. He makes you feel like you matter. Answers all questions and takes his time. The only bad thing is it takes a long time to finally see him when you have an appointment.

All of the personnel have been wonderful, professional, and caring. Dr. Kirsch and his assistants are a great team to have taking care of us. I'm glad Dr. Kirsch is my doctor. I trust him with taking care of my issues with my Retina. I required a shot in my left eye and they kept me calm and I didn't even know when it was given. I'm very happy to have such a good doctor and team to take care of me.

Dr. Kirsch and his staff are fabulous!! I’ve been a patient for a long time and had several Retina Specialist’s before I was referred to him by a friend. I have Myopic degeneration and I’m legally blind. Dr. Kirsch is very knowledgeable about my condition and has been very supportive of me coming to terms with my condition. It took a while for me to accept the fact that my condition would never get an better and that there is no treatment for it! All of his office staff and technicians are very caring. It is my 3rd visit to Dr. Kirsch in about a year, and I can say I'm very thankful for being his patient. In the past, if Dr. Kirsch hadn't taken the decisions he took, and the approach he decided to take, my life would be very different now. Not many doctors would've taken the same approach as Dr. Kirsch and I truly appreciate that. As I told Dr Kirsch yesterdy during my yearly visit, "my eyes are the best part of me because he takes care of them". I have been a patient of Dr Kirsch and the Eye Institud for many years. The operated both my eyes and did other procedures all extremely successfully. They are the BEST!

I went to see Dr. Kirsch on an emergency appointment he said I had floaters come back in a couple of months.. I couldn't see out of my left eye & it was hurting. Yes there was nothing wrong with my retinal detachment which was corrected in 2018 On Wednesday I saw Cohen Steven M MD@ Retina Vitreous Associates of Fl: my left eye pressure was 50 it was 27 on Monday when I saw Dr. Kirsch @ West Coast Eye Institute in Clearwater.. Dr. Cohen recommended Advance Cataract Glaucoma Care.. Dr. Clinton Sheets.. Yes i have Glaucoma in my left eye, still having problems with my vision. My vision was worst when I went to West Coast Eye Institute.. that's why I needed an emergency appointment.. Choose your doctors carefully!! At first, I was not impressed with the Eye Institute of FL however, Dr Kirsch turned that around. I highly recomend him. He listens!! So many Doctors don't do that anymore. He also was very reassuring that the problems I am having are normal with aging.

DR. KIRSCH WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I HAD A TORN RETINA OPERATION BY DR. HAIRSTEN WHO DID A FINE JOB. HOWEVER, I FELT NECESSARY TO GO BACK PRIOR TO MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. IT WAS THEN THAT DR. KIRSCH FILLED ME INON WHAT DR. HAIRSTEN DID NOT. HE GAVE ME MORE DETAILS AS TO WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE NEAR AND FAR FUTURE. I AM NOT SAYING THAT DR. HAIRSTEN DID A POOR JOB, JUST THAT HE DID NOT GIVE ME ALL THE INFORMATION I REQUIRED TO FEEL THAT I WAS ON THE RIGHT TRACK FOR COMPLETE RECOVERY. I THANK BOTH DOCTORS FOR DOING A GREAT JOB. Came in due to a finger nail size looking "flash spot" or lightning colored spot in my right eye field of vision. Dr Kirsch didn't look at the back of my retina for tears..... just did an ultrasound and called it a day Moreover he was downright rude.... A hostile attitude and seemed annoyed I was even in there. I'm a 38 year old guy, not a cranky old man.... literally never felt that kinda vibe off the dozens of various doctors I've seen. Dr. Kirsch is very thorough and has been my retina specialist for over 12 years. He’s been great and I highly recommend him.

Dr Kirsch was so kind and respectful to my mother. So many doctors just turn & burn their senior patients, but not Dr. Kirsch. He took his time and explained everything to her and me. He has a great personality and he welcomed any questions. I would recommend Dr Kirsch in a heartbeat to anyone!

This was my first visit with Dr. Kirsch, after having been a patient at another Eye Institute for over 20 years. He highly impressed me as being knowledgeable, professional, personable and superior to the prior several Physicians who cared for me. Dittos to the staff who cared for me during the visit.

Dr. Kirsch is an amazing eye doctor. He was very knowledgeable, kind and had a great personality. If it wasn’t for him I would have never known to get the mri I needed. His office is very clean, they constantly sanitize and are very professional. I know I’m in the best hands with him and I will continue to be his patient for as long as he’s in practice.

This was my first visit to West Coast Eye Institute. All the personal were nice and helpful. I really like and trust Dr. Kirsch. I believe he will be able to help me with my vision problems.

Dr. Kirsch is always in tune to his patient. Caring, informative, and always gives you time for questions. In the past, I was shuffled from one technician to another before I eventually met with the doctor. Today, one technician performed all of the preliminary steps thus eliminating the need for me to take a chair in the lobby between technicians before my final walk to an examination room to meet with the doctor. I really appreciated the need to only spend time with one technician. Perhaps there is an employee shortage due to the pandemic.
