Dr. Lisa D Rood

Dr. Rood is everything you’d want in a Pediatrician. She is kind, attentive, professional, respectful of our daughters’ privacy, an excellent communicator and so good at listening and getting to the heart of the problem. Our family has been with Dr. Rood since our daughters were born. We always feel heard & well taken care of. She has solved obscure problems more than once; we are so grateful. Dr Rood is amazing. She really listens, zeros-in on what’s really going on and communicates everything we need to know so well. I really couldn’t ask for better. Her support staff (Leeza) is also top-notch. Highly recommend!

Dr. Rood is the best. My son feels super comfortable with her and the staff at JMH are just as great!

I trust Dr. Rood and Liza whole heartedly with all my childrens lives. I don't feel like I'm walking into this cold doctor's office when I'm walking in. You know, the offices where you feel so unfamiliar, nervous and uncomfortable. It's like you're visiting with someone who truly knows you. Like family. All staff knows you and the kids by name, and Greet you with kindness. You never feel rushed with appointments. Dr. Rood genuinely cares and hears you and listens to all your concerns. She truly looks out for the best interest of your child. She treats you like a person she sincerely cares about, not only another patient on her roster. It doesn't feel like its a business, you know, like Kaiser. It feels more personal. My kids all love her. I love her. And I'm so happy she can patiently handle my 5 crazy kids. It took a while to be able to get in as one of her patients. She came highly recommended but wasn’t accepting new patients. I can see why. She is amazing; listens, drills down to the info she needs and gets the diagnosis all while making the child the center of attention and feeling like a responsible young adult.

This medical office is great. We are always greeted with friendly faces who genuinely seem to remember and care for my daughter. Dr Rood has always made sure all of our questions or concerns are answered and explains things in depth.

Whenever I visit dr Rood's office with my daughter I have impression that she is not knowing what she is doing. The service of Brentwood John Muir pediatric department is in general poor. It is comparable with poor service at Brentwood John Muir Urgent care. Highly don't recommend Lisa Rood. Martina G.

Doctor Rood is absolutely awesome! She has been my daughter's daughter since she was born. The day after she was born she came in to the hospital and performed her own checkup on my daughter. I thought that was awesome. She goes above and beyond explaining everything in detail if we have any questions. The one thing that we love about her is that she is very personable. Her staff is very helpful and amazing! Liza her nurse is one of a kind, she goes above and beyond to make us feel good about every doc visit. Doctor Rood is absolutely awesome!
