Always a well run facility. Dr. Robert Beer is amazingly thorough and compassionate. The front office is quick and efficient with check in and check out.

Got skin tags removed by Dr. Beer. I cannot recommend this office enough. Making an appointment was easy, and the front desk is very helpful and friendly. Results of removal is excellent, and the removal scar is fading well. I will definitely come back for other concerns!

Everyone was very polite and helpful, they were very courteous of my hearing impairment. Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable and soft spoken.

First time I met the staff. They were very personable and made me feel like I had known them for a long time. If anything, it took any nervousness I had before I walked into the clinic. They took time to answer questions and with out a doubt know their stuff. It was a pleasant experience.

Balfour Dermatology is 5 star! From the minute you walk into the door you feel welcomed. You are greeted with a smile. The entire staff is top notch! They are all friendly and down to earth. They need work on their policies. They have many customer service policies that are just rude. Loyal regular patients who have been coming for YEARS and years and who NEVER once have no showed or canceled an appointment last minute they still require a $100 deposit JUST TO MAKE AN APPT! I Understand doing this to people who cancel or no-show or maybe for new patients… but patients who have repeatedly proven their loyalty and dependability and consistency this is ridiculous because when it comes to the appointment they RARELY remember to apply that deposit when it’s time to pay!!!! how convenient…. I always ended up having to call a few days later or a month later and say wait a minute I paid a deposit for that appointment but you guys didn’t give me credit…!!! it’s that kind of stuff… plus you can tell their staff (ESPECIALLY IN THE DESK/COMPUTER JOBS) just are not happy to be there, so we found a better place to go. It’s disappointing because they have SOME good things going but not nearly enough to justify repeat patronage. *****They also have poor quality product i.e. Botox. I know this probably sounds crazy but in hindsight we had multiple occasions (myself and my wife) that had Botox injections resulting in no freezing of muscles but the same dosage of the same Botox brand at another location was extremely effective….. can you tell me what’s wrong with that picture.. I keep coming back here to do my services only because Maria always helps me with my appointments. Maria customer service is one of a kind. She fits me in the appointments eleven when I call last minute. If someone cancels she always calls me to make sure I am taken care of. Maria always makes me fell welcome. Was not a fan of this office at all. The only reason why I'm giving it a two start is because the front desk gal was super nice and the Dermatology assistant was more helpful then the actual doctor. I went in because I used a mole remover for two small spots on my face. I was concerned it was not going to heal correctly so I decided to make an appt just to make sure it was healing fine. It wasn't doctor Beer but another doctor in there. He just kept staring at my face going I'm not sure what to do haha like it was something crazy. I asked why don't you just give me something you would give to patients if you were removing a beauty mark etc yourself. He then went to use his microscope and still said I'm just not sure what to do let me take a Pic and send it to the doctor. I asked if this was his first year as a doctor or what he didn't seem to happy after that. His medical assistant made a suggestion to let my face heal a few weeks use this acne rejuvenation cream and get fillers if need be. After an hour of sitting there with a doctor that had no clue what to give me, calling his partner asking what he should do and spending over 400 dollars for the visit lol....and still getting some extra bill from my insurance lol..I wouldn't go back there. I wouldn’t recommend the services for Botox to anyone. Totally unprofessional. They do lie about the amount of Botox you are getting an overcharge you. I don’t know what other services are provided in this office but as for Botox please check them out before you even make an appointment.

I had a question and was scared that I had been double dosed on a powerful biologic that they prescribed and they did nothing to to get back to me or even call to go over my concerns. Instead they wanted to charge me $125 for a telemedicine appointment. Then they send me a letter withdrawing my care from their clinic. I will never go there again and I recommend you don't either. They just want your money and will bill for nothing without warning! I have been coming here for over 6 years, as it was the closest derm and I was happy with the treatment I received until recently. My husband had an appointment that was scheduled one year in advance and did not receive a reminder for an appointment that was schedule ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE. He found out about the appointment because mailed letter and sent a bill. Of course they couldn't have picked up the phone, just sent a bill to collect their $75 no show fee. I called and the woman I spoke to directed me to the HIPPA policy where its states these are courtesy calls and you may not get one. Oh you mean in the pile of paperwork you expect us to sign and read in 15 minutes???? No one reads that and they need to be clear every time you schedule an appointment that you are on the hook for $75 for no show and you will NOT get a reminder like the one that every other medical professional provides for appointments scheduled ONE YEAR IN ADVANCE. Also part of their paperwork is to give them your credit card so they can bill you whenever they like, I said no to that and glad I did. I will NOT be paying that no show fee. The woman I spoke to was so rude and unprofessional, I was too angry and forgot to get her name. I had a surgery scheduled for next week that I will be canceling. I'd rather start over then ever trust that office again! Additionally, the male NP there prescribed an alcohol based solution for my 6 year old's cradle cap that sent him through the roof with pain and of course it was $100, of which was wasted. Then they wanted to burn moluscum off my 5 year old, not even mentioning several other much less painful treatments that my Stanford pediatric physician is using. Do not like Do not think they listen or help But they do like your money

1) I was charged for a missed appointment because I had the flu. Really? 2) I went another time and purchased this expensive regimine for hair loss which didn't work. Dr. Beer said I couldn't buy it in the store, yet I found it on Amazon for about the same price.

Excellent Patient Care! Front office staff were very friendly, accommodating, and answered all my questions. My visit was thorough and informational, the medical assistants are also very friendly, I've seen most physicians in office, and had a great experience with all of them!

I would not go here! I made an appointment for a full body mole check and to have a consultation with the Dr. I also made an appointment the same day for Dysport! They placed me on the cosmetic side first and did the Dysport. The assistant looked at one mole on my neck and said I had nothing to worry about. I NEVER even met the Dr. I originally made an appointment for. They charged my insurance for a first time patient consultation which I NEVER received! $175.00??? Like I said, I made an appointment with the Dr. Beer and never even met him! When I tried to explain this to the accounts receivable department, they said it was a misunderstanding when I made the appointment and they are still billing me for a co-pay! A random mole check saved my life. Menaloma insitu. Would have never caught it.

For over ten years Dr. Beer has taken care of my various skin problems saving me from cancer and other problems. I cannot fault his manner, his skill, or his results. My wife is also his patient and she agrees and adds that he and his staff are really nice people.

I would stay far away from this doctor. He has completely lost touch with modern treatment for skin disease and has a very poor bedside manner. I feel the medical assistant is making the medical decisions for him and this should never be the case in a medical practice. I cannot recommmed this physician at all.

Edited review: I had given Dr. Beer 5 stars.... Recently we began having issues with billing. They were charging us for no-show appointments for appointments that had been cancelled or rescheduled. I have stopped going to them because it was such a hassle to deal with these charges.

I love this practice, I have been seeing Christy R.on Fridays she is the Best! Christy and her assistant are very professional, patient and funny.I hate shots but its a breeze with these two.Thank You so much..the whole staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly....can't say enough about them.

Dr.Beer and his wonderful are truly awesome. Dr.Beer is highly qualified in all areas of dermatology. From his wonderful medical spa, acne treatments and highly skill and trained skin cancer. BALFOUR DERMATOLOGY is a beautiful office.

I took my dear mother to him many times. Both he and his staff were beyond superb! Best dermatologist I or my parents have ever been to, as understatements go. He quickly and painlessly removed many precancerous and cancerous growthes from my mother, possibly saving her from terminal cancer, and giving her many more years of happy life. Not a good "bedside manor." Doctor rushed through the appointment. Seems like more of a money-making spa operation more appropriate for that SoCal Brentwood than a dermatology practice.

Last year I had Dr. beer remove a squamous cell cancer from the left side of my nose. I was told wearing a Band-Aid with Vaseline on this wound it would fill back out. Wore Band-Aid faithfully day and night for Five months. It still left a pocket. I was told by another doctor that he would've taken a small piece of tissue from behind my ear and filled in that pocket. Not happy !

Dr Beer takes care of my husband and me. My husband has had many Mohs surgeries and has had melanoma, so he's spent a lot of time in Dr Beer's care. I've been seeing him for about 10 years. In all of that time, we have always been extremely impressed with his knowledge, experience and high level of care he has given to us. When my husband finds something suspicious, he never has a problem making an urgent appointment. Dr Beer is always ready to fit someone in who really needs to see him.
