Dr. Louis S Metzman

Well unfortunately not a fan of how he treats his patients, I was referred to him for what I thought was shoulder pain and grinding of shoulder but also had neck pain. He did do a neck X-ray and it was found to be abnormal with no lordosis curve ....that’s all he said and he explained “that’s not my specialty so I’m sending you to a neurologist in Indy” and walks out if the room. So I receive a call today from that specialist in Indy that Dr.Metzman refered me to stating he will not see me until an mri is done of my neck . So I contact Dr.Metzman office (which they are super nice) explaining what I was told . They called back short time later stating Dr.Metzman will not order the mri because he sees no need for one. Ummm I understand this isn’t his area of expertise but the doctor he refered me to will not see me until an mri is done. I’m beyond frustrated, been dealing with this pain over a year and been to multiple doctors. I just feel like he is obviously not wanting to help! He misdiagnosed a fractured femur on my nephew after xrays. Ortho Indy checked him out and said he should have seen the fracture on the xrays and it was obvious that it was fractured. He has messed up on other people also. He will never do anything for me or my family again.

I had knee replacement surgery three years ago. Dr. Metzman did an excellent job. We travel a lot and I can walk miles each day. I am now 73 years old. Recovery was very painful, but the surgery was worth it. I would do it again.

I am a 44 yr. Old male,,,,,metzman did replacements on both knees nov. 03 and dec.28 2015,,,,he told me straight up how life would be with and without doing them,,,,, i had djd,,,,,major osteoarthritis in left knee as well a fluid and other complications,,,,,,a arthroscope was done on left knee by a DIFFERENT surgeon in terre haute,,dec 1,2014 during a 6 mo. follow up in july 2015 was told tkr needed to be done on both,,,he wouldnt do it,but ,,METZMAN DID them when noone else would,,,HE CARES..
