I was amazed that the receptionist asked me my social security number in front of everyone in the waiting room. This is private information that, if revealed, can lead to identity theft. You should never ask someone to verbally tell you their social security number. You should have this on a form that patients fill out, just like all other doctor’s offices around the US.
