I've been with Dr. Nounou for many years. I fully trust in every decision he makes and his staff is wonderful.

Dr. Nounou himself is an excellent doctor but his office staff are so terrible it’s not worth visiting this office anymore. They are double booking, the wait time in the lobby is not acceptable. Front desk staff violate HIPPA laws, are extremely rude (rolling eyes, shaking their head, just all together unprofessional. I waited in the lobby for over 40 minutes before I approached the front desk to ask if I could just receive my test results and reschedule because I have other appointments to attend. The receptionist went to the back to ask a nurse and told me, no they can’t give me my test results. I then asked for a copy of my chart and she told me she can’t give me that. (By law all patients have a right to a copy of their chart if it is requested.) at that point the younger woman at the desk began mocking me and making obscene faces about my request. The nurse finally called my name, I told her I would just like my test results and a copy of my chart and to be on my way, I don’t wish to see the NP at this point I’m late for another appointment. She told the receptionist to print me my test results and told me I’ll have to wait and come back tomorrow for my chart. The receptionist said she didn’t know if she could do that and just allow me to have copies of my chart. I work for a doctors office myself, I’m an assistant and this staff is highly incompetent and a huge liability for Dr. Nounou. I,, unfortunately will be searching for a new cardiologist. I don’t trust his staff has the knowledge and demeanor to handle my care. I completely lost all trust and faith in that practice after my experience yesterday. If you have a poor experience like this, contact your insurance company to file a complaint.

I have had 5 visits there. Everything has gone well so far. Staff was polite and I was seen in a timely manner. Had a number of tests and one surgical procedure. All carried out with kindness and skill. Phone calls were handled sensibly.

Recently, I found an error in my prescription. The office manager was extremely rude, and challenged me when I called to have it corrected. I asked to have it called in correctly, so that I could get a refill before runiing out of the medication. She said she could not just take my word for it.She was going to call the pharmacy to check. I explained that she would get the wrong information from the pharmacy, because the prescription that had been sent in was incorrect. I called my previous pharmacy to verify that the medication that I was on had been filled as I indicated since 2016. Because of this error, and the way I had been treated, I found a new cardiologist, and a new small friendly local pharmacy. I Informed Dr. Nounou's office I had transferred my prescriptions to the new pharmacy, because they were extremely careful. The new pharmacy filled the prescription correctly, and delivered it immediately. Five days later, the old large chain pharmacy informed me that Dr. Nounou's office had called in my prescription, and it was ready for pick up. I spoke to Coutney at Dr. Nounou's office to tell her the prescription was already delivered to me the week before. I told her about the error, and problems that had occurred. She was extremely unprofessional, and indifferent. I pointed out to her that medication errors can cause injury and death. She still did not appear to care, so I Informed her that I wanted my balance due to billing error to be returned to me, because I would not be returning to the office. She said she was sorry I felt that way in a manner that came across as rude. Along the way, I tried to contact Dr. Nounou twice. He has no answering service. Because, his office closed early while the pharmacy and I were both trying to teach him, I called the hospital as the office message machine directed. The operator was not pleased, and said if he could not be reached, I would have to call the ER, or go there. Though I asked to have the doctor contacted twice, I never got a call back. I still do not know how the medication error occurred.. I am not sure that they know. I do know however, that medical error is the number one cause of death in the United States, and I would stay away from practices like this one.

Dr Nounou is an awesome Dr. He takes time & explains to you, He has a great personality, talks abt anything when you strike up a conversation, best of all he spends time w/ his patients

Had an appointment set up for a number of weeks now at 4:15 pm The Dr. Office called yesterday to let me know Dr. Had a 12:30 appointment available so I took it and had to take a half day off of work. I check in 15 minutes early and not one person mentions that the Dr. Is not in. I proceed to wait exactly 1 hour and still no Dr. Why would your office staff do this to someone? If the Dr. Is overbooked then he needs to not ad new patients. This place is a joke. Confusing chaotic environment

I’ve been going here for years now and have always had nothing but problems. The doctor is fine and the NP is fantastic, I would much rather see her than Nounou, but the rest of Nounou’s staff are terrible. Multiple times I have went in for monitors and have been given the wrong one. When I bring it up, the response I get from the MA is, “Well you’re getting this one.” It’s sad when every other medical professional I see is taking patients inside their office, but now he is not. My insurance doesn’t cover telehealth visits, so I can’t see them until they decide to reopen. It’s also sad that every time I’ve gone to the hospital for heart related issues, the MDs, PAs, and nurses all tell me to find a new cardiologist or refer me to new ones. If only my insurance covered more around this area than I would. If you care about quality of your care, I would either see the Np at this office or go somewhere else. ⚡Doesn't value patients time! ???? ⚡We waited 8 HOURS for a telehealth appointment today & ⚡ We waited 4 HOURS for the last telephone appointment!⚡ ???? ‼UNACCEPTABLE‼ My mother had a telephone appointment today with Dr NuNu. We got the reminder texts yesterday and when speaking to a receptionist last week was told 10:20am appointment but to expect the phone call early afternoon. Apparently it's routine to wait several hours for the doctor to call. So we waited. And waited. 3pm I called the office and they took some pre screen questions and said to expect a call from the doctor soon. It's now 6pm and the office is closed. Safe to say they forgot about us and we can go on with our day now. ???? When people need help with their appointments and we're both sitting here waiting, you could have AT LEAST had the decency to CALL and say that the office forgot her appointment or that the doctor wouldn't be able to get to her today. ???? Having Dr Nounou has been a disaster and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Never before have I seen a doctor cancel an appointment between patients and NP because the patient doesn't need to know. An office staff that doesn't return calls. No cardiologist might actually be better than having this particular one.

As a new patient to a Cardiologist this has been a horrible experience. Several months ago I spoke with the Dr and he set up several appts for me over the span of 3-4 months. That’s where my relationship with the Dr ends. Never spoke to him again. As I went through the process of tests, monitors and a whole lot of dysfunction I became increasingly irritated with their process. The only people that seem to care was the people who conducted my stress test (a third party/not his staff). Over the course of my "care" I would receive multiple calls from different people to schedule procedures that had already been completed. My question asked every time was do you document these calls? I was waiting weeks for test results when I received a VM saying they were in and to call them. Turns out they weren’t in but they again tried to set me up for a test that was already completed 2wks prior. At this point they have set the stage for complete disconnect and incompetency. Final straw was I needed a clearance for another doctor to complete a procedure and the office called several times and was unable to get this clearance. Their hours aren’t listed and getting someone on the phone is far from easy. The day before my procedure......after not eating and hours into my prep. I receive a call saying my appt was canceled because of no clearance. I received over a week prior notification of this clearance. I called and asked to speak to a person in charge several times to which the girl refused. I was told I was not given a clearance because of a follow up appt that was set?? Said follow up was set months prior when I originally spoke to the dr to go over results of my monitors and echo long before ever needing a clearance for this other procedure.....they do not communicate with each other effectively and look like fools when speaking to patients leaving zero confidence in their patients. Ultimately when they told me it was cancelled I immediately headed down there to get answers. I was angry and annoyed and over it. I expressed my disappointment in a staff that seems nice but there is major underlying communication issues that fall on the patients to just accept as simple "mistakes." When telling them they never even apologized for any of the problems....they then apologized. A apology given at that moment could not have been any more insincere. As my rant continued I basically was told to never return. Yeah, I was angry. At some point somebody needed to hear me! During my rant the office manager stood by quietly never once asking to help or even tried to de escalate the situation. Basically letting her staff handle it. I had expressed my concerns quietly and politely a few times and nobody cared. What did you expect? Their accountability will never be seen considering it’s just all little mistakes. It’s incredibly disappointing. At this point I have found out I have a hole in my heart that nobody seems to have time to discuss. This was found due to other issues. I have never been given results of my echo other than you have a hole in your heart nothing further or my stress test. Both have long since been completed. It’s a huge run around with no answers. To the doctor in charge you are doing a huge disservice to your staff and patients by not being present. This problem starts with upper management and should be dealt with but I have zero confidence. Oh yeah.....my clearance....the last oops was immediately sent over. Finally! You didn’t like my reaction and frankly it’s not how I handle things but again when is it ok to get angry? Being nice wasn’t working you just took advantage of that. I will now have to go through the task of finding a new Dr. my concern now is my records are not correct and most likely incomplete. I mean Ive never been given any test results or discussed possible treatments or options....the Dr is still reviewing several weeks later. This is always their go to answer. Dr Nounou knows what he is talking about- he is a great doctor! He is very time efficient and doesn’t keep you long but he listens to what you tell him to get the correct diagnosis! Every staff member I encountered was also very nice!

Had a appointment at 12:30 granted due to traffic arrived at 12:37 as i am coming from Grand Blanc. Once there had to wait in line while a gentleman discussed his bill and paid it for about 10 minutes. When he was complete went to the desk and told her i was here for a appointment . Gave her my name and she was like oo and got up and went to the back where she was for about five minutes. Comes out and says oo we have to reschedule you are late. I voiced my decern and left. The care and expetise in his field of cardiology is 5 star! I have been a support person for cardiology patients in my life for 20 years, having seen many cardiologists in MI and TN. Dr.nounou is EXcellent..great bedside manner,kind,caring.we left Beaumont doctors for dr.nounou. he helped us through a difficult situation with husbands afib...would never ever consider a different cardiologist..he is the BEST.

Longest wait EVER!

Leave you on hold on more than 17 minutes on more than one occasion. Tell you as a medical office a cardiac clearence will be faxed within the next few minuets. That was 3 days ago. I am currently on hold again and this is the 3rd time I've called today 20 minuets and counting. This is why I personally see a cardiologist in Flint.

Dr. Nounou is not only a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable cardiologist but he is one of the most caring doctors that I have ever met. He is my mother's doctor and I live out of state so I am so pleased that I know that I can trust him and know she has exceptional care. I waited over an hour for my appointment. He then spent five minutes reading my test results. Then left to take a phone call. Came back for five minutes. No review of my tests. Just ordered more tests. Still don't have a clear diagnosis or treatment plan.

Great Doctor! I recommend him to everyone. He also has a wonderful PA and nurse that work with him. Very attentive, approachable, smart and spends time with patient!
