Margaret B Boyse

After seeing Dr. Boyse for over a decade, I noticed that, in the past couple of years, her whole manner has changed. (I suspect that having a corporation take over the practice may be connected to this change.) She used to be friendly as a person and thorough as a doctor, and she took her time with both treatments and with answering any questions that might arise. But, in the past few years, she has become so rushed that she can barely be bothered to say “hello”, and she makes you feel that whatever she is doing can’t be done and over quickly enough before she is out the door! (Forget about asking more than one question—she refuses to answer, saying she doesn’t have time for that!) I have to say that I no longer trust that she will be as careful in her work as she used to be, (let alone pleasant), so I don’t feel comfortable continuing to see her. And friends of mine who also were patients of hers in the past have felt the same way and switched to a different practice as a result.

It is never easy to find a new doctor, however, I am thankful I found Dr. Margaret Boyce! She is absolutely outstanding in every regard. Dr. Boyce is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and great with people which makes for an enjoyable visit. She makes you feel comfortable and really seems to care about her patients and their well being. She took her time and answered all my questions. I did not feel rushed at all. The staff at Southern Dermatology are wonderful. From my first interaction to check out the staff is fantastic and they get you in and out very fast. Dr. Boyse is friendly, a good listener and honest about options and results. I trust her wisdom and recommendations. I never feel rushed during visits and have easily and quickly been able to make appointments with both her and her PA.

Dr. Boyse has an excellent and easy to understand manner. She treated my pre-teen daughter for mild acne with some safe and low-key approaches to start. My daughter and I were both comfortable with her and her staff. The office environment was very comfortable and clean. I tend to have a lot of questions and she answered them all, as well as spoke directly with my daughter. I will continue to take my daughter to see Dr. Boyse when she has an issue. I highly recommend her and her practice

Dr. Boyse is amazing!!! I have been a patient for many years & I am always impressed with her caring demeanor, professionalism, knowledge & skill with all she does! From a multitude of medical challenges or for an aesthetics need (she's excellent!) & I would highly recommend Dr Boyse.

Dr. Boyse is the WORST doctor I have ever been to! She's rude, condescending and impatient. She spent 7 minutes total on me. I felt completely rushed through my appointment as a brand new patient. She made me feel like my questions and concerns were trivial and since no treatments were going to work for me, why bother asking and wasting her time. She also seemed put-off that I had additional questions for her. The nurse (Cara was amazing by the way) spent more time helping me with my issues because this doctor wouldn't. Since I had one more question for Dr. Boyse, the nurse suggested that the doctor come back in talk to me. When Dr. Boyse returned, she berated me like a child, "The front desk should set the expectations that appointments are 10 minutes long. I already answered 6 other questions for you, so you better not go to the office manager after this and say that you felt rushed through your appointment." I was stunned. As a new patient, it's about building trust and rapport with your doctors. I tried to ask her another question and she responded, "We already went over so much and you're going to try these new things. You're not going to even remember anything else that we talk about. That topic is another appointment in and of itself." So now she's insulting my intelligence? I'm not capable of retaining anything else? Seriously?! I am appalled that someone like this is a medical professional. If you hate people and don't care about helping others, clearly you're in the wrong field. Oh and by the way b**ch, if my appointment was 10 minutes, you still owe me 3 more minutes… Dr. Boyse is the WORST doctor I have ever been to! She's rude, condescending and impatient.
