Dr. Marija Cutlip

Dr. Cutlip is one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. She has great listening and observation skills. She is able to tell by the look on my face how and what I am feeling. She has a willingness to spend her time helping me. For instance, I told her about an issue I am having that may involve a new medication I am taking (that was not prescribed by her), and she offered potential ways to determine if that was the cause or not. I was a client of Dr. Cutlips from year 2011 thru 2019. In 2019, I decided that I no longer need this service and ended the well established relationship with this doctor. Although, this year 2020; I suffered a very tragic event in June. I called the Pleasant Hills office and spoke with the secretary, Denise. My experience over the years with Denise depended on what kind of mood she was in that day. I really trusted and respected Dr. Cutlip. I thought that due to the tragedy I suffered , the long history that I had with Dr. Cutlip would matter. I spoke with Denise a few days after the tragedy happened and she more and less told me...sorry for your loss, Dr. Cutlip is not taking new patients and she then told me to call my primary care physician. My husband at the young age of 54 years old suddenly died in my arms from a heart attack on the morning of 6/2/2020. I am only 49 years old, we were together for 23 years; married 19 of these years. I just thought, WOW, this is when I really need to speak with the doctor I have been seeing for 8 years. Dr. Cutlip is a terrific doctor and my first instinct was to reach out to her during a time of sudden sorrow, shock, and significant loss. I was wrong, my experience after hanging up with her secretary made me feel worse, if that was even possible during those early days of grief. I would give Dr. Cutlip 5 stars, I believe that if she was aware of this situation; she would have penciled me in somewhere in her appointment book. I would hope that anyone who loses a spouse, to sudden death, would get the support from a professional, kind doctor if requested. This grief can only be understood from others who have gone through it. I valued this establishment and thought I would receive compassion ..... most importantly, a chance to see the doctor. I guess my expectations during this difficult time are set too high. Treat people with kindness because you never know what is going on in their life and if you do know they are going through a storm - at least fake the kindness. Stay away from this doctor, she is awful. Secretary is rude and unprofessional. Very unfortunate that they are treating people.she really could care less regarding patients well being. If you get worse she will blame you..and that secretary is nasty and obstr8to patients. Terrible doctor, no patience and belittling. Secretary is rude and unprofessional. Can't ever get appointment, work help with employment paperwork.Refuses to share information with disability provider which delays payments. Will refuse to treat you if her poly pharmacy treatment fails. Guessing each visit what could possibly be your illness. BEWARE OF DR CUTLIP AND VISTA

Dr. Cutlip is an amazing doctor. She comforts, while remaining professional and talking about what's good/bad in your life. She is uplifting and she maintains a good relationship, remembering little details about your life. SHE ACTUALLY LISTENS. I love going to see her, because every time it helps me figure out what I did before we met, how to process that information, and how to move forward. There's always a plan (:

I have been seeing Dr. Cutlip for many years for depression and anxiety. She is knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. She truly cares about her patients and takes the time to listen.

I would absolutely recommend Dr. Cutlip to friends and family. You can tell she really cares about her patients. She really takes the time and effort to get and know me and provide the best care possible.

Not willing to address complicated issues either medically or therapeutically. Wants only the most simple, straightforward situations to deal with and has no patience for more demanding circumstances with the medicine and especially the therapy she said she'd offer me. Beware. She me into a false sense of security then abandoned me when things got difficult.
