I just had a hysterectomy performed by Dr. Alkass and I was very satisfied with my results. Dr. Alkass was very professional and he handled my situation very seriously. I really enjoyed seeing the smiling faces of both doctor and staff, it really made me feel comfortable. Dr. Alkass has been amazing! He was direct and got straight to my problem and helped me fix it. He did surgery he was the only GYN to actually care enough to take my problems away, he saw my pain and he just helped! I will for ever be grateful now he takes care of my last high risk pregnancy! My mother, Zulybel, was a patient of his. She had been bleeding when off of her period with mind numbing pain for weeks, and Mark had written it off as just a uterus crying to be removed. Like her concerns and actual excruciating pain plus the abnormal bleeding was just the usual. It turned out to be cancer in both her uterus and cervix, as when she was transferred to a different specialist, they couldn't believe their eyes. It was nothing they had seen before, and when they had undergone a radical hysterectomy to remove the tumor, it turned out to be more or less 14 pounds! Rude Receptionist didn't even ask me why I needed the appointment for just told me it was going to be in May for new PatienceI wouldn't want to go somewhere that they're going to be rude on the phone before you even get through the door!

I would not recommend this doctor's office if it was the last doctor's office on Earth my daughter went to this doctor and was dismissed with every problem she had turned out had yeast infections preeclampsia the staff is one of the rudest people I've ever met in my life how they can treat people like that and Dr Alkass allow that is beyond me if you go here you are crazy I have recorded conversations of the way his nurse's treat people I would love to put that on here. Have you ever desired to find a physician that made you feel like family?Dr. Alkass is an amazing Gynocologist. He takes great interest in not only your physical health, but also you as a person. I'm truly greatful that he is my doctor.

Dr. Alkass has now become my favorite OB/GYN. He was the only one I have been to in my life who didn't brush my concerns aside and tell me it will sort itself out with time. He actually took the time to listen to ALL of my concerns and explained that I shouldn't have to just be satisfied with just bearing with these issues. He offered to test for causes of the problems and suggested a few doctors to see for more specialized solutions. Dr Alkass was absolutely amazing from my prenatal appointments to when I had to have my C-section. He is very knowledgeable and answers all your questions and concerns. He kept me informed on what to expect and made my c-section as smooth as possible for a very nervous first time momma. I couldnt imagine having anyone else perform my surgery. I had my second appointment with Dr Alkass and it was great. He is very kind and patient. I agree with one person that commented here saying he treats his patient like his own daughter or wife. During my visit he was giving me advice like i was his daughter. It was very nice. I absolutely recommend him.

In the beginning i was very nervous. But the smoothness in his voice made me feel i had nothing to worry about.

This was my first visit to this office. The entire experience was good from check in. I liked the doctor a lot. He allowed plenty of time for my visit and questions. His medical assistant was very nice. I would recommend others to go there.

Dr Alkass is an AMAZING doctor. He really goes above and beyond for his patients. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a doctor that has great bedside manner, can make a joke and yet remain totally professional. I love my team of doctors and trust him completely. Would not go anywhere else!!

Dr. Alkass has been my OB/ GYN for 19 years. He birthed my son 19 years ago emergency C-sec and took care of my daughter in law with our new addition. He has done all 5 of my surgeries and or procedures. There is no one that I trust more with my health than him.

I moved to Florida 7 years ago and about 4 months ago was referred to Dr. Mark Alkass, gynecologist, by my primary care physician. I was nervous about going to a new gynecologist. The staff got me in within a very reasonable length of time for the appointment. I was called back and met first the nurse for Dr. Alkass. She recognized I was nervous and promised to be in the room for the exam. Dr. Alkass came in, sat down, and introduced himself. He immediately put me at ease and explained what he needed to do. The nurse was present for the exam. The doctor was very professional during the exam. I have returned 3 times for follow-up and have felt more and more comfortable with him each time. I have been a patient of Dr. Alkass for 6 years. He is wonderful. He is knowledgeable, professional, thorough and is warm and personable. I recommended him to my daughter as well when she was pregnant, she loves him as well. He relates with people. He delivered my grandson, provided excellent maternity care for my daughter. This was the worst experience ever. I currently have a gaping wound. I went back to the heart of fl for 3 days to get stitched up and find out why my potassium and hemoglobin were falling and causing fainting and instead had to faints one where I hit my head and one where my back got crushed against the sink when I collapsed. Both times had my supposed nurse there to help. I was discharged for the second time with no antibiotics or pain meds as I was told it was issued but lost. IV in arm too

First time I've ever had a pap and it didn't hurt. He did my hysterectomy and was very attentive. Will drive 2 hours to continue seeing him!

He is the greatest! Explains everything and why he is doing certain tests. He is one of the best doctors I've ever seen.

This was the most horrible experience I've ever had with a doctor. He was creepy, rude and didn't know what he was doing. For your own health and safety avoid this man. He should not have a medical license .

I have been seeing Dr. Alkass for over 4 years. He is professional, friendly and definitely knows his stuff. I have recommended him to others, and wouldn't hesitate to suggest him to more. He delivered my daughters baby as well. He's wonderful. A+

He is rude and nasty and talks down to his patient. He misunderstood a situation and jumped to conclusions and yelled at me. He refused to listen to my medical history, when I told him his course of treatment wound be ineffective he became nasty. Due to insurance I was forced to see him since I had just moved to Lakeland. He tried to do a dnc, I bled out on the table and required 14 pints of blood. I would not send my dog to him. His office staff was cold and heartless.

This creep has No professional boundaries. He is rude, says inappropriate , suggestive , sexist things and is condescending . When he did my pelvic and breast exam, he had a big grin on his face the whole time, and took so long, it seemed like he was personally enjoying it. Very disturbing.The staff are just like him, they are judgmental and derogatory about patients. The " medicine" he does is terrible, he has several lawsuits against him. It will be a great day for women and medicine the day this jerk loses his license and that hell of Florida gets shut down. Go there at your own risk. Celebration is so much better. Met Dr. Alkass in the ER. He has been wonderful taking take of my teen daughter. He takes the time to explain things to her and make her feel at ease. Great doctor!

I had a previous miscarriage and months later a complicated pregnancy. Everything that could go wrong with the preganacy did. He had to perform multiple surgeries and was very informative and compassionate. His surgerical techniques demonstrate his experience and modern approach to his practice. His staff never shamed me for being afraid or made me feel like my questions/conerns we invalid. He also performed a surgery on me years later with professionalism and minimum recovery time.
