Dr. Mark Anthony Chishom

My husband went to Aspen dental for dentures. The staff there is great but their oral surgeon is really something else. He is quick to throw up in your face that he has 25 years of experience like he can do no wrong. He has horrible bedside manners. Find a different surgeon. He will throw all of your concerns under the bus like they are nothing.

Dr. Chishom is awesome and very professional. I had an amazing experience. His assistants are super sweet and friendly. I read some other reviews and he's not rude. He's just a no nonsense man. We laughed and he made the experience very tolerable and he seems to have a great relationship with his assistants. They've all been working for him for a long time which says a lot about him.

Dr. Chisholm was my daughters doctor for having her wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. After the pharmacy informed us that it would be 5 to 6 (and even that they could not guarantee) hours before her pain medication could be filled, we asked the doctor if he would transfer her prescription. She had vomited after surgery, and I didn’t think that she could sit in the car for six hours. We had a long drive ahead of us back to my home in the north Georgia. My interactions with him were very upsetting. He was condescending, rude, and arrogant. He called me “sweetheart” and said that it was my fault for picking that pharmacy. This morning, as of almost 24 hours later, the prescription still has not been filled, and my daughter does not have what she needs. Her night was brutal. My experience with him was so horrible, we will not be even returning for post op or even trying to get him to fill her prescriptions.

Non-visit related encounter: I overheard Dr. Chishom being extremely rude to a customer service rep on our team. If he treats his patients like he treats customer service reps then I would definitely not recommend. Bless the hearts of those who have to interact with this man on a consistent basis. He will not be treating any friends or family of mine. What a pompous jerk!

BEWARE!! Horrible Bedside Manners! I had my wisdom teeth removed and I regret not stopping the surgery when he made made a comment about me being nervous and downplaying my pain. After the surgery he shoved my husband aside whom was helping me walk, grabbed me, and manhandled me into the chair! Then told my husband to not baby me after that. I reported the incident to Aspen Dental, but was told that because I was under his care, I would have to take the issue up with him. He berated me more on the phone, told me I was wrong about everything, and overall did not take criticism. Considering Aspen's lack of action afterwards, I switched dental offices. I also reported him to the Dental board of GA.

Dr Chisholm is a very rude person he treats people as if he above them. My sister just got all 4 of her wisdom tooth’s take out. We call dr Chisholm a few days later to ask about her medication he was no help he just talk her off and went on about how he been working for 20 years and I feel no doctor should compare people pin to other.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by him. First of all he was rude to his staff before I went under which seemed inappropriate. After waking up and getting in the car, my girlfriend drove me to Kroger to fill my prescription. Before she could even get out of the car I threw up. The paper work says to call if you vomit. Okay cool, My girlfriend called and was connected to his personal number and he was absolutely horrible. He said that’s what zofran was for and to not call with issues like that. About an hour later I had a very large blood clot literally fall out of my mouth ( since you can’t spit ) it was concerning. Now 6 days later I’m almost 100% sure I have dry socket. My meds are gone and I contacted him and he said it was “normal” and I’d be fine. Meanwhile their corporate office said to call the doctor to schedule a follow up appointment. I guess I’m left to deal with this on my own? He was no help. He seriously needs to get some people skills. Will never return to Aspen dental.

He was rude and had no bedside manner! He became angry with me for attempting to get his attention and threw his instruments down on the tray next to me. I was trying to tell him he was hurting me and he responded angrily....never again!

This man is RUDE, inconsiderate and has a horrible bedside manner. I would never recommend this provider to work on anyone mouth. He treats you like your lower then dirt and beneath him and that your Waisting his time.

Dr. Chishom is a great surgeon. My surgery was painless. He put me to sleep for my surgery. Very competent

I WENT TO HAVE 4 TEETH REMOVED. WHEN THE NUMBING COMMENCED I HAD A PANIC ATTACK BECAUSE I AM A WIMP WITH PAIN. BUT DR CHISHOM WAS REALLY GREAT THROUGH THE PROCESS AND WAS QUICK AND THOROUGH.

Saw Dr. Chishom today for extraction of two broken teeth. His assistant was fantastic, very pleasant and friendly, mad e me feel really at ease. Dr. Chishom himself is a no nonsense get down to the task at hand person and friendly but not overly which is how a doctor or dentist should be considering I am there for treatment and not a personal visit. Had a front tooth and an upper left side molar removed and besides the needle sticks to numb the areas I felt nothing and hours later still no pain.

Had an appointment with him at Aspen Dental in Hiram, he only visits twice a month so I had to schedule a month in advance. I had a babysitter and friend scheduled to drive me, but doc had some cancellations and asked me to come in early or they'll cancel my scheduled appt. After all the anxiety I had about pulling teeth, I think I'm glad I didn't. Very unprofessional and rude.

First off he was rude before, during, and after the procedure. I asked him which tooth he was pulling out and he confirmed yet he pulled the wrong tooth. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to him. I will be filing a report on him and Aspen dental.
