Excellent staff and advice from Dr Dean

All staff was professional. Dr. Dean seemed to be able to relate to my situation, and got to the point quickly on what needs to take place in my treatment process. This is not to say he didn't provide time for me to ask questions.

From start to finish, Dr. Mark Dean and his staff were outstanding. Dean was responsible for completely re-engineering my severely damaged rotator cuff. He is a gifted patient educator and one of the best surgeons in the Southeastern USA. His staff are skilled and compassionate. They tended expertly to my many questions and concerns. Special thanks to nurse, Linda Kim, troubleshooter deluxe and ace Practice Manager, Stephanie Griggs. The skilled women like Linda, Stephanie and the many CMAs make the place run! I deeply appreciated the professionals at Beaufort Memorial Hospital too. They operate like a well-honed machine! The rehab process takes a year but I would do it all over again to get this new start on life that Dean's "remastered shoulder" surgery gave me! Five stars!

Everything was great the doctor was professional and yes I thought my problem was more severe than it was and he made suggestions to say different and in the end result my shoulder is feeling great the two injections that he put in save me from ongoing pain. I want to thank Dr. Dean and his staff for great service and professionalism

Dr. Dean is very patient, he explains the issues that you have and the options that are available to help with those issues. He also gives you the capability of choosing to try each one along the way to see which option bests fits you and your needs. With great communication and bedside manner.

We feel Dr. Dean is the best of the best! He is so knowledgeable, professional and a great surgeon! He listens to you, gives you options and is honest with you. After two shoulder replacements and several scoped knees, we would and have recommended him highly to anyone needing shoulder or knee surgery!

Dr. Dean was able to quickly pin point the problem with the knee and offered several options with pros and cons to consider.

It was nice to preregister. The staff were knowledgeable and kind. I was there a little longer than I expected, but on the other hand I didn't feel rushed. Putting my life in the hands of a surgeon is my greatest validation. Pat Keown

Dr Dean is the best orthopaedic surgeon around - without a doubt.

I can always depend on Dr Dean to be straight with me, been a patient for many years! No other ortho for me! He is great!

Got disappointing news about my constant knee pain after replacement 13 months ago. Dr Dean was more upset than I was and reassured me the problem would be corrected. He thanked me for coming back to see him and having the faith in him to correct the problem. That went a long way with me on how genuine he is to all his patients.

For the past six weeks, I’ve been unable to sleep or play golf due to pain in both shoulders. Dr. Dean spent 45 minutes reviewing my MRI’s. Decided surgery wasn’t necessary. He recommended a cortisone shot in each shoulder and physical therapy. He shuffled his schedule and gave me the shots on the spot. Slept like a baby last night and played golf this morning! Very grateful to have him as my doctor! He is the BEST!

Thorough, and took the time to explain everything. I was able to receive a procedure on the same day without having to wait for a second appointment. The office staff was professional and friendly. I highly recommend.

The appointment went great and Dr. explained the process for shoulder surgery. He said his scheduler was not in the office but I should call to set up a date. I have called two different schedulers at his office and left the requested information but neither one has returned my call.

Office was running a bit behind, that said they kept me informed of the delay. Accordingly, the doctor gave me the same professional courtesy and went as far as taking the extra time for unscheduled but needed injections. Dr Dean always takes time to have meaningful conversations with his patients unlike so many physicians today.

Dr. Dean repaired my shoulder, which is now in perfect condition. He is very professional, a good bedside manner, and walked through the MRI with me in detail. I highly recommend him. He has a stellar reputation. His staff was also very professional.

This is my second contact with Dr Dean. He worked on my shoulder 5 or 6 years ago and did a great job. However, even Dr Dean can't beat arthritis and after speaking with him, I go forward with great confidence that he is going to take good care of me. Dr Dean is the best at what he does.

Went to Dr Dean for a major shoulder issue after being referred to him by several other competitive tennis players in my region. Initial visit was exemplary, although I did encounter some difficulties getting an MRI scheduled.
