Dr. Fish is a very caring surgeon. He reviewed the procedure well. The surgery center was friendly and the nursing staff went above and beyond. The actual surgery was not traumatic, he used a twilight anesthesia and nerve blocks in the surgery leg. Went in at 6:30 AM and surgery was complete by 11:00 and I was dressed and sent home. The nerve block kept pain away for the first couple of days.Nice to recover at home rather than in a hospital.

I have had two surgery procedures , knee and shoulder, completed by Dr. Fish. My whole experience , diagnosis , surgery and healing/recovery went very well. I highly recommend Dr. Fish and Capitol Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.

Dr Fish and his staff are very caring people. They care about your help and wellbeing. Very understanding when it comes to a patients pain and discomfort due to their orthopedic needs. Willing to listen to your every word. I would highly recommend him and his staff to care for anyone’s needs in getting better. Dr Fish and his PA do really care about helping you become a better and more healthier patient to live Your every day life. I had a total knee replacement surgery and they took very good care of me and I would totally recommend him and his staff to take very good care of you as well. Thank you

This appointment was for my husband. he was pleased with the visit.

Had my right knee replaced. I had the left done by Dr Fish 12 years ago. This time it was at surgery center. There by 6:30 am home by 12:30 pm. Within 3 weeks pT had my knee bending at 125 degrees by week 3. At 5 weeks I have been able at work extensively on concrete. No 2 month appt necessary if all is fine

Very efficient office. Little time waiting. Very, very pleased with the outcome of the procedure, the follow up appointment and the entire staff.

Dr. Fish is excellent. He was delicate, yet straightforward with my mom and her condition. Understanding man, the patient in not just a number. It's probably why we did have a longer than average wait time (45minutes) but WELL WORTH IT to get quality care.

Dr. Fish has done a double knee replacement for me in the past and has now replaced my hip. He is skilled and great to work with. His staff is great also. Highly recommended.

When I first went to another facility close to where I live, they told me my ankle was broken from when I rolled it at home and they said I would need to see an Orthopedic surgeon. They wanted to refer me to a Dr in the town where I live by but I told them I would make an appointment to see Dr. Fish as I and a few family members had seen him before and I didn't want any other doctor touching my foot. Dr. Fish has always made you feel comfortable with him and gives you the facts straight up. He is no nonsense but very compassionate. I will always go to him if I have the need for an Orthopedic Dr. and will always refer other people to him. Thank you Dr.Fish!! I have complete trust in Dr. Fish and his staff, from Dr. Fish, Matt, Emma, Jessica! They do an Awesome job.

Dr. Fish and his team have been awesome, as well as all the staff at Capital Orthopedics. They treat you with dignity and respect, and are always friendly! Most of all Dr. Fish gave me back hope that we could fix things, and I didn't have to be in pain.

He doesn't wear a mask when seeing patients. This occurred on September 14, 2021 at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, Iowa. The student with him, and his nurse, and literally everybody else in the clinic had masks on, as required by signage on every door, and throughout the building. Guy obviously has a "god complex". The most dangerous of all. Puts patients in a "like it or lump it" position. A disgrace to the entire medical field.

Dr. Fish was very pleasant and treated me like I was an individual person, rather than just another patient. I felt like he really cared.

Had to get some follow up work done and Dr Fish and his associates were very helpful and informative for the procedure and follow on care. I want to thank them in helping me get back to my former activities and health.

Dr. Fish performed a full shoulder replacement on me a few years ago. It was a great success! Now I need my other shoulder done, and I wouldn’t consider choosing any other surgeon.

He didn't try to rush through the explanation. Quick and efficient. Nurses were able to finish the other areas of explanation.

The wait time was long about 1hr my appointment was at 10:45 . Waited in the waiting room about 30 minutes and 45 minutes in the room waiting for the doctor .But I was satisfied with the results once the doctor came in.
