Dr. Henry is very informative and easy going. His staff is excellent!!!

The business administrator to this office Shawn is extremely rude. When trying to assist a member with their claims for a company I work for, he was more concerned about being correct versus helping the patient. People like that shouldn’t be in the medical field b/c it’s about making sure the patient is taken care of and not about Egos, titles, and status. He needs some couth. Sad that such a good physical therapist has people handling his claims and business affairs like that

I can’t say enough about Dr. Henry!! He was simply AMAZING, and would refer anyone and everyone to him. I normally don’t write reviews, but feel the need for people to know how wonderful it was to have him as my Doctor. Since the beginning my experience with him and his staff has been above and beyond. I can assure you he will listen to every concern you have, and work with you. He makes you feel like he has known you forever. For those of you that feel a little hesitant about choosing a Dr. , I think you should highly consider looking at Dr. Henry.

Dr. Mark Henry is outstanding and the staff are all super courteous and helpful, I highly recommend this medical facility. I can't express enough in words how grateful I am that I was referred to Dr. Henry by my colleague and friend Dr. Robert O'Brien. I had an emergency and when I called I was worked in immediately the same day and was in surgery that afternoon! Dr. Henry saved my finger and hand. I am blessed I had him to care for me and receive his exceptional care. I loved that he was very informative of my condition and took the time and explained everything to me before my surgeries. I believe the result of my recovery was due to Dr. Henry's time, attention, expertise and skill 100%. Dr. Henry made it clear to me in the beginning that for the best outcome I had to go to therapy, and do the exercises even if it hurts and push myself and do my part for my recovery. Dr. Henry did my Hook of Hamate surgery. He was able to save my baseball season. They were able to get me into surgery extremely quickly which allowed for a fast recovery. There were zero complications, and after only a month of sitting out I was able to start playing again.

While my injury was not a good experience, my interactions with him and his staff were far better than what a patient could ask for. He takes the time to listen to his patients. Very important.

Dr. Henry was flawless in his diagnosis and surgical treatment of my son’s hook of hamate removal. He was very knowledgeable of the injury and was very thorough in educating us throughout the process and he ensured a full recovery. I highly recommend Dr Henry! I had a metacarpal spiral fracture and this was the first bone that I broke.I didn't know what to expect and I appreciate Dr Henry being honest with me from the first visit. He said I can heal without surgery with the risk of my finger bending more (it was already a bit bent) or get surgery, go through therapy and end up almost like before the fracture. I got surgery the same day, followed his instructions and the therapist's instructions and now here I am 10 weeks later with full motion on my hand, no pain and working up getting my strength back.

I have had surgery on both hands, two different types of surgeries. Dr. Mark Henry did an awesome job! I would definitely recommend him. He is very knowledgeable and precise. He recommended therapy after one of my surgeries, this was important in order to achieve the awesome and complete restoration that I was looking for. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Henry after breaking a bone in my right hand. The break required surgery to properly set the bone. Dr. Henry and his staff provided excellent care from surgery through the healing process. He took the time to explain, in a very detailed manner, what would be required for a successful recovery. My experience with Dr. Henry was wonderful he is a straight shooter and tells you like it is. He has a great beside manner. I had extensive surgery on my hand which required remodeling the bones in my hand. My scar is almost invisible he did a great job all stitches were on the inside. His staff is top notch and I am so happy with the results you just need to follow his instructions. I highly recommend Dr. Henry

Ended with pain even after the surgery. He claimed the pain was all in my head and that I just needed to learn how to manage it. Worst experience was when one time I had the cast removed because he needed to take X-rays. Because the prosthetic had shifted, once they added a fresh cast back on, he grabbed the cast with both hands and twisted in an attempt to shift the prosthetic back into place. Not only did that not do anything but if anyone knows about how your bones are after being in a cast is they’re as stiff as a board. Forcing to twist it was inhumane and I can’t imagine it being ethical. I had to be held down from the pain that took place. His bedside manner like others have voiced is awful. I don’t question his knowledge but saying the pain is in my head is such a cop out for not taking responsibility for a failed surgery. His receptionist also leaves much to be desired. There are plenty of other good doctors in Houston. Never going back and would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Henry himself is great but his staff is very rude and unprofessional and I'll never recommend anyone to this office under any circumstances

Urgent Care referred me to Dr. Henry in 2020 when I cut my thumb. I needed surgery. Dr. Henry is very unkind. A real jerk. After meeting him at his clinic, I was already scared of him before my surgery. At the hospital, he rolled his eyes at me and sighed with annoyance, even though I only asked one question! I am convinced he is a sociopath. At my follow-up visit, I walked out of the waiting room while he was talking because I couldn't take it anymore. DO NOT GO TO HIM!

I was a bit nervous coming in after a dog broke my pinky bone. Dr. Henry and his entire staff calmed my nerves and explained the process extremely well. I would recommend anyone with a hand or wrist injury to come see Dr. Henry first. You won't want or need a second opinion. Dr. Henry and his entire staff are nice and very knowledgeable. 10 out of 10.

What a wonderful experience! Dr. Henry is very professional! He explains everything about the procedure giving you peace of mind! Dr. Henry is the expert you need when faced with a hand injury! He is knowledgeable, efficient and addressed all my concerns from start to finish. The emergency surgery needed on my ligament tear was easy to schedule, and the scar looks like it’s not even there. His team of office staff and therapy (shout out to Emily & Betty!) make the process after therapy smooth and I actually looked forward to attending physical therapy each week. I was involved in an ATV side by side accident in Idaho and crushed my left hand with the roll bar. My injuries were so severe, the doctor in Idaho informed me that there was too much damage to save my hand. I was referred to Dr. Mark Henry by friends. Dr. Henry was straight forward with me and said that it was possible that I could still lose my hand but that he would assess my injuries to see what he could do to save my hand. After 9 surgeries, I have my fingers, hand, along with feeling in all of them. I have full functionality with my index finger and thumb which is way more than I expected to have and I'm blessed to be able to still use my left hand with little difficulty. He did more than an amazing job. He performed a miracle. Thank you Dr. Henry for giving my life back.

Dr. Henry and his staff are amazing. Having to have a complete wrist reconstruction was not only overwhelming but scary. We tried multiple avenues before surgery was determined to be the best option. 1 year out I have gained 95% full motion in the wrist. The scapholunate rupture prevented me from doing normal tasks such as throwing a ball or carving brisket. I am back to 100% full activity, coaching baseball, throwing, enjoying life. I had a wonderful experience using the hand and wrist center of Houston. The staff here are friendly and efficient, and Dr. Henry is extremely knowledgeable and very good at explaining the process. I saw him for a dog bite that required multiple surgical debridements on my right/dominant hand. At the outset I did not have that much mobility in my right hand due to pain and the bandages but Dr. Henry encouraged me to do a set of hand exercises multiple times every day, and as a result I recovered from the hand surgeries very quickly and regained much of the mobility in my hand as soon as the bandages came off and the stitches came out. This alone made my journey through hand therapy much easier than it could have been and laid the groundwork for extremely quick recovery of full hand mobility, dexterity and strength. Dr. Henry was very good at explaining what was wrong medically what needed to be done medically, presenting options so that I could make a choice, and then following through with the choice that I had made. Dr. Henry worked made it clear that my active participation in my recovery would determine my outcome. I committed to that active effort and diligently did all my hand exercises as assigned. Dr. Henry was my surgeon after a traumatic wrist injury and failed repair when I was just six years old. Thanks to his work, he restored use of my hand and wrist and have never had an issue since. He is a thorough and knowledgeable doctor who truly cares for his patients.

My experience at Hand & Wrist Center Houston was top notch. My husband did extensive online research and found that Dr. Henry is an expert and basically “wrote the book“ on hand and wrist injuries. After breaking my arm in a fall, I was able to get an appointment immediately and schedule surgery a few days following that. After meeting and speaking with Dr. Henry I was able to clearly see the benefits of surgery as opposed to healing naturally with the potential to not regain full range of motion. Dr. Henry performed the surgery on a Monday and by the following Monday I was ready to start my journey to recovery with therapy. This doctor deserves 0 stars! I went to Dr. Henry at the St. Joseph's Medical Center and he operated on my hand with a debridement. He was supposed to do the same operation on Tuesday but he declined because he said I had inadequate insurance. He has left a huge open wound on my left hand, allowing it to be infected. I was very fortunate to find myself in Doctor Henry's care after having a table saw incident on a Saturday evening. Next day, Noon on a Sunday, I'm sitting in front of Doctor Henry discussing my options. He was very straight forward and to the point in the most reassuring way. I did not initially understand how bad I mangled the tip of my finger up. I put my trust in Doctor Henry and his team for surgery that day and I would do it again. All of his instructions, attention to detail and respect for the healing process has brought my finger back to a usable and functional point for me, as an electrician. Dr. Henry was referred to me by the ER for a broken wrist. I called and he was able to get me in immediately. Went to the visit, he gave me my options, discussed in entirety the benefits and risks of each option, and together we confirmed the path forward. I never felt rushed during the treatment, and it wasn't a fix you and see you later approach. Their program keeps you involved through out the entire healing time frame, keeping track of your progress and helping to understand the limitations throughout the healing process so that I didn't re-injure the hand. I am extremely happy with Dr. Henry and I would definitely come back if I have another hand incident. Everything was first class. The staff was accommodating with my schedule changes. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone else with a hand injury/issue.

Treatment and care received was outstanding, Dr, Henry's did a wonderful job in helping eliminate the pain related to carpal tunnel and trigger thumb. The staff coached me very well and me perform the therapies. All in all, the complete treatment was completed satisfactorily within the expected period determined by Dr. Henry. In April of 2021 I first met with Dr. Henry about my previously diagnosed Kienbocks disease. Even after a surgery I had with another doctor to "help" my wrist I was still experiencing pain, and limited on my everyday functions. Immediately he was able to explain to me why I was still in pain, and provided many options for treatments. We went over his years of experience, studies, previous patient successes, and even previous patient set backs. I fortunately was able to set a treatment with him, and when I was ready was able to get in for surgery in a timely manner. The after care for surgery was phenomenal, minimal pain, and much less stressful for my family. The office staff was so responsive, and helpful. As of now I will be looking forward to my one year anniversary appointment, and I could not be happier with my results. I consulted Dr.Henry for Carpal Tunnel problems. He was very thorough in helping me understand the issue and my options. My procedure was conveniently scheduled and the procedure successful. Recovery and outcome were without any complications. My expectations were met 100% from beginning to end.

My visit with Dr. Henry was a wonderful experience. He did my corporal tunnel surgery on both my hands with 100 percent success so when I cut my left hand on the back side and cut some of the tendons I knew he was the Dr. I needed to see to get it back to 100 percent also. I have been recommending him to my family and to all my friends, that if they ever need any kind of doctoring from their elbow to their hands he is the Dr. to go see. Dr. Henry lays out all the options and expected outcomes from each option then allows you to choose the treatment that makes the most sense for your situation. The wait times can last awhile, however that's because you can get in same day and even have same day surgery if that's the option you choose. The office was quick to help schedule an emergency surgery to repair my broken finger. Dr. Henry is an extremely competent doctor and his staff, especially Luis, are very friendly and helpful. They helped guide me through OT and strengthening my finger so that I regained full function of that digit. I highly recommend.

I broke my right wrist, and had severe damage to the joint and tissue. Dr Henry was confident in my diagnosis, and was able to get me in for surgery within a few days. 7 weeks later, I've regained full mobility in my wrist and have no pain. The scar from the surgery looks fantastic, and is minimizing every day. I am very thankful for the ease of this process thanks to the hand and wrist center! Broke my hand playing basketball and my doctor told me surgery wasn't necessary but that it was "up to me". I didn't feel right about him so I immediately started researching hand doctors in Houston and decided to visit with Dr Mark Henry for a second opinion. From the beginning, Dr Henry was extremely confident and knowledgeable and told me directly that I needed to have surgery asap! If I waited any longer it would just complicate the situation so I was able to schedule surgery the next day! Dr Henry and his staff took great care of me and scheduled plenty of follow up appointments with x-rays being done at each visit to make sure the bone was healing correctly and not shifting. im jose came to the doctor with broken index finger very painfull experience but lucky me came to the perfect dr and after couple of weeks and surgery had to go through therapy and painfull exercises but at the end of the day im feelig much better thanks to the good work of my doctor i would recomend 100% and today i could go back to my normal routine.

After posting my review, I read some of the negative reviews about Dr. Henry. I really think those folks should be more grateful. Dr. Henry sees a lot of patients and he takes his job seriously. He does not have time to baby people and he wants people to know that they must take on some responsibility in doing exactly what he says, including the physical therapy. I am very grateful that he is a confident and highly skilled surgeon. His confidence comes from his experience, his top level skills and the research he has done to help restore people. Doctors don't make near what they used to and they have more expenses than ever due to rapidly changing technology and paying their staffs. I'm sorry, but whiners that are so quick to complain, should try reflecting on what is truly important. To them, I say, "Get over it." Try being more grateful.

Very professional office. Cannot recommend enough. Doctor and staff were kind, informative and extremely helpful. This was my first surgery of any kind. Surgery went great. Surprisingly no pain or discomfort afterwards. I highly recommend Dr. Henry and his staff for any hand or wrist needs.

Dr.Henry is the best! All info was excellent, surgery and recovery far exceeded expectations! Best advice is to do exactly what Dr. Henry says to do for the recovery process! Hope I don't have need for services in the future, but if I have another problem, I will definitely use Dr. Henry again.

My son & I both had surgery by Dr. Henry. I broke the upper top of my left pinky and my son broke both the ulna and radius of his left arm. On both occasions, I was certain that Dr. Henry was the expert, and I took his advice for surgery. Needless to say, my finger is not functional post surgery, and we do now question whether my son needed the extensive forearm surgery with multiple permanent plates and screws. I should have gotten a second opinion on both occasions and I encourage others to do so as well! I still think he's as knowledgeable as everyone claims, but business is business and I'm not sure surgery is always the best option. I pray that I made the right decision for him. My ninjury was to my right wrist. Surgery was not the preferred method of resolving the issue and PT was indicated. Carpel Tunnel surgery was indicated for partial resolution and was preformed. The outcime was all that could be expected. Dr Henry and his staff were informative and factual. His guidance allowed us to make informed collaborative decisions withnthe end result of returning me to the best outcome. Mechanical accident damaged tendons on my ring and pinky fingers. Dr. Henry repaired the tendons and after 12 weeks of follow-ups and therapy, I have full function of my hand with no limitations. I am a 53 year old who has suffered since 2007 from Rheumatoid Arthritis. In 2017 all activities I excelled at tennis, golf and softball came to a halt from my RA. The disease took over my joints. My RA made my right wrist loose all functions from dressing myself to driving a car. I met Dr. Henry after my son on Christmas Day 2019 was bit by a dog. After a horrific experience at the ER and infection that set in my sons hand a ER doctor at the hospital said the only Dr. that can help your son and save his hand is Dr. Mark Henry. The next day I called for appointment and that day we saw Dr. Henry and that night my son had surgery and Dr. Henry saved his hand. In 2020 I came to Dr. Henry for my deformed wrist. I felt helpless and depressed. The pain was unbearable. After patiently explaining to me my options where I could make an educated decision I had a full wrist fusion. Dr. Henry is a brilliant surgeon. I have been a patient for the last 14 years. Dr. Henry really cares about his patient’s well-being. Before I was living in Houston I shattered my hand in a cycling accident in 1999. I had surgery but for eight years I had a constant pain. I saw several doctors but they all told me that there was nothing wrong with it. In 2007 I took one more chance and went to see Dr Henry. He went above and beyond to diagnose the cause. It took time but he figured it out. The surgery was successful. I’ve seen Dr. Henry for several injuries over the years and each issue were carefully assessed and always a plan to go forward. In this June I had surgery on my finger and again it went perfectly. I was well-informed about the post surgical recommendations and expectations. I highly recommend Dr Henry.
