Dr. Lewis is an excellent dermatologist.

I have a very complicated health condition that effects my skin secondary. Dr. Lewis is incredibly knowledgeable and handled it unbelievably well. I highly recommend for complex issues.

Dr. Lewis is rude and speaks down to his patients and his staff right in front of anyone. He is a smart man, but has a terrible bedside manner.

I am a retired dermatologist and live over 2 hours away from Dr. Lewis. I willingly drive to see him as he does in one visit what most dermatologists would do in four visits

Poor bedside manner...very moody...abrupt / can be rude... belittled the nature of my questions...not acceptable behavior.

Felt like he rushed and was not interested at all. Not a thorough inspection. Gave subdermal shots of cortisone for itching. Totally missed basal cell another NE Dermatology doctor subsequently removed. Appointment was in May. Not submitted to insurance for more than six months, which made non eligible for coverage. Office blamed new computer system. No work out. Then sent me to collections. Stay away.

Treated me like a 2 year old and yelled at me for no reason. I used to like him but when I called him to ask a question he yelled at me and told me he had patients waiting and he had no time for me. Well he doesn't have to worry about me anymore cause I am not going there ever again.

Dr. Lewis was the on call physician when I was having anxiety about a medical problem. He answered my call and even followed up with the lab for me. I am very grateful he took the time to answer my call!

Dr Lewis is the Gold Standard in Doctors. He does not keep you waiting to get an appointment or waiting in the waiting room.He is extremely competent. He treated my 98 year old mom who was bounced around with poor diagnosis of her condition. Dr Lewis treated her and her pain,swelling and cracked skin was cleared up immediately. I don't usually write reviews but I feel that this Doc needs to retire. I went there several times over the years to have pre-cancer sun spots checked and frozen. Asked me where they were but did not do a thorough exam to look for more. He has a unfriendly personality . I did go to another Doc in Swampscott and was treated very well with a complete exam, biopsy with ongoing treatment that should have been done previously by Lewis. Retire ole man or get some new young physicians to take over.

Dr Lewis was practical and got to the root of the problem, rather than simply prescribing medications to mask the problem. He is also not overly aggressive with the cutting like most dermatologists. Found him to be respectful and sympathetic which is also becoming rare in the medical field.

He cured my arm rash I had for two years on my arms no one could explain my rash or find a cure. Thank you so much I'm so happy and thankful I can show my arms again and feel normal. -edualyn Lopez

I have seen Dr Lewis several times and thought he did an excellent job in diagnosis and treatment. He also took the time to answer my questions and explain my condition in plain English.

My primary care doctor recommended that I see Dr. Lewis for a preventative skin cancer screening a couple of years ago. I'm happy he did, because I've had a few conditions come up (like rosacea) that Dr. Lewis diagnosed and treated successfully. I like Dr. Lewis's manner: he's direct, focused, and has a dry sense of humor. Since I started seeing him, I've heard from friends about other unusual conditions he diagnosed immediately that had other doctors stumped. You'll do well to see Dr. Lewis if you have any kind of skin condition, and he might catch other issues as well. Not professional, scarred me instead of suggesting I go to a Plastic Surgeon when removing a deep mole. I had no idea he was going so deep.

Dr. Lewis is the most knowledgeable dermatologist I've ever seen. He is very sharp and is able to diagnose a condition at the spot. I know him for at least 25 years, and if a need arises to see a dermatologist, I always go to him.
