The apathy and intellectual laziness of this doctor is shocking. Doesn't care , shows zero interest to see if new genetic tests have come up to identify underlying issues affecting patients. Awful genetic doctor. He needs to see a psychiatrist to deal with his apathy, disdain and resentment towards helping patients. Something is wrong here.

A referral to a genetics specialist is a stressful experience but ours was good. Dr. Nunes and the genetic counselor who works with him were kind and thorough. They got my son into additional testing right away and discussed the range of issues his diagnosis might entail as well as possible future treatment options. He has a matter-of-fact "professorial" style to his communication, which I like, as I don't want to be coddled, lied to or frightened. I hope future visits are as positive.

He gave realistic, practical and thoughtful advice to a family member that has an inherited gentic condition. He was knowledgeable about a rare disease that most no nothing about. He knows how to speak with youth in a manner that is relatable and in terms that are easy to follow.

This Dr. is not thorough and is not proactive for those with serious health risks. If you like wasting your time, or banging your head against a wall, this Dr. might be for you.

I wouldn't see him. He has no interpersonal skills and lets his personal issues affect his job.
