Dr. Provenzano never took the time to explain my injury to me - how it happened, why it happened or even take the time to discuss next steps. He talks REALLY fast and jumps from patient to patient faster than I have ever seen a doctor. He makes rushed decisions and did not provide the right diagnosis of my injury. His nurse’s assistant is NOT friendly either. I learned more about my injury and prognosis in one visit with another doctor vs 5 visits with Dr. P. I would not recommend him.

Mark Provenzano did my right knee 16 years ago and my left knee 11 years ago. Fixed a torn meniscus both times. I am still playing soccer. He does about 15 knees a week. He has other Dr's in the office that handle "other body parts". The only negative reviews here are on "other body parts". Provenzano DOES NOT push surgery. Because he has a vertically integrated practice he is incredibly efficient. You get the MRI in the same building. On my 2nd knee he scheduled surgery only at my urging but he insisted I go through a program of anti-inflammatories to see if it would resolve and would have canceled the surgery if it did resolve. He has a great bedside manner but the reason to go to Mark is for TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY FOR KNEES. Mark Provenzano did my right knee 16 years ago and my left knee 11 years ago. I just had surgery yesterday.... I was impressed with the whole experience from the nurses at the Oakbend Surgical facility to Dr. Provenzano. I am healed and not taking any pain pills because there is no pain. The professionalism was seen from all that assisted with my operation. Very impressed that the doctor called after hours to check up on me. I highly recommend Dr. Provenzano.

Dr Provenzano is very kind and presents very well. However Please please before any surgery get a 2nd opinion. I didn’t the first time so I ended up trusting and receiving surgery. Later I went to him for my other shoulder and at that time another professional recommended that I get a 2nd opinion. I did in the medical center with a top group. Dr P did his own MRI in his office with a small machine and wrote that report himself. The other office was not impressed. They sent me to a MRI facility and ultimately informed me that I did not need surgery at all! So moral is for ANY surgery get at least 2 opinions and don’t be trusting as I was. I had surgery with Mark provenzano in January 2017. I knew I had something wrong with my left knee due to pain from cycling. We did a x-ray and reviewed that and scheduled a MRI the next week. We found the torn miniscus, bone spur on the patella and he suggested to adjust the track of the patella to be more in there groove for longevity. Had surgery on a Thursday and was back at work on Monday. I did ask the required PT and started riding again a week later as prescribed by Mark. He was always full of energy and a marathon runner. He understands that I use my knees and is busy like him and need to be in the best shape coming out of surgery. Definitely look into Doctor Provanzano for your needs. I had rotator cuff surgery on May 17 2018 and my experience and results have been fantastic. I’m in need of surgery on my opposite shoulder which I will have December 2018. I have no hesitations in having this done. I know it will be successful. I’m very greatful for his expertise.

Over the years Dr. Provenzano has done 2 surgeries on me. First a shoulder 15 years ago, and more recently a knee. Superb on both. I was told exactly what to expect, and he was spot on what he told me. (The procedure, the recovery time, the rehab ). I was also impressed by the fact that Dr. Provenzano called me personally the day after surgery to first check on me, then give me the surgery highlights and what he had found, and what to expect in the next weeks and months. I would highly recommend this doctor and this facility. First class all the way, excellent doctors, and precision surgery. Over the years Dr. Provenzano has done 2 surgeries on me. Had major shoulder issue. I could not use right arm. Severely torn rotator cuff and 3 bone spurs. I have had the condition for over 10 years but things went extremely south in May of 2016. Surgery went extremely well. Had full motion in 2 weeks. He stated that I was an unusual case and most people with my condition do not recover that quickly. It took a while to get strength back because I didn't really use my right arm for over 1 year. Missed all of bow hunting season last year. Just shot 2 dozen arrows with no issues. Excellent results. I would and do recommend him to anyone that has shoulder issues. Had major shoulder issue. I could not use right arm. Severely torn rotator cuff and 3 bone spurs. I'm 30 years old and I had surgeries on both of my knees. I had meniscus tears (probably from soccer and many other sports). They're both much better now. Recovery for the first one was slower (I think it took maybe 3 months to feel okay and about 6 months to feel better). The recovery for the second knee was much quicker and took about 3 months or less to be in good shape. I guess each injury and surgery is different. Were the surgeries worth it? Absolutely. Do I think my knees will be the same? probably not 100%, but I'm very active again (lifting weights regularly, rock climbing, etc.). He's a good doctor and everyone at the facility treated me very well. I'm 30 years old and I had surgeries on both of my knees. I had meniscus tears (probably from soccer and many other sports). One of the finest knee specialist I have ever encountered. Candidly discusses all aspects of the patient's condition, prognosis and treatment options. He sees surgery as the last resort and has a gifted PT staff to help his patients avoid surgery as well as return to normal activities quickly after surgery. Have recommended him to many over the years!

Used Dr. Provenzano in my early running years. About 10 years ago, I severely tore my rotator cuff, tore tendons in my wrist, and broke my right arm . He was not on my insurance at that time. I opted out of surgery because I could do most everything I wanted. In April and May of 2016, I re-aggravated the injury. It was different this time. Dr. Provenzano was on my insurance so I went to him. He fixed me. 3 bone spurs and an anchor. Flexibility is great, still working on strength.

This is Dr. Provenzano. Mr.Johnson, your post does not make sense to me. Medication issues are usually handled over the phone unless there is a new problem. New problems require a history, physical examination, and usually x-rays, which may reflect the fee you were quoted. Please contact my Physician Assistant to clear this up. Sorry for the confusion. Orthoscopic knee surgery in April 2016. Nine months later, my knee is now no better and probably worse than it was prior to the surgery. Spent a couple of thousand dollars out of my pocket plus whatever my insurance paid and all I have to show for it is visible swelling and pain of the knee that wasn't there before the surgery plus the same pain I had prior to the surgery. He seems like a nice guy and good bedside manner, but the whole ordeal was very very disappointing.

I went for a neck problem. They said I needed an mri. My options were surgery or injections. I went and had the mri done and scheduled a return visit. He looked at the mrI and said he could refer me to a doctor that did injection and curged me 80.00 on top oF the visit i all ready paid. . I was never told he did not do injections or I would of went somewhere else. I am still waiting for a call about the surgery. It's been almost a week.
