My experience with Kaiser Permanente has been good up to the point I had seek fertility treatment. My most recent experience with the Fertility Clinic Department specifically with Dr. Marsha Baker (Sunset location) has been very disappointing and very frustrating. I have never met a medical staff (including physician) so disconnected with their patients. They don’t even follow up on the blood work they order. You literally have to call them and then wait to get a call back with your results, sometimes until the next day or sometimes not at all. I went in for blood work a week ago and still have t heard back. They don’t even bother following up via KP app. I’m a 42 year old woman trying to get pregnant and time is not in my favor. They delay test, they delay follow ups, they delay in procedures and delay appointments. I would commute to my appointments 1.5 hr and make all my appointments on time and never requested them to reschedule. These appointments were/are very important to me. Sometimes my appointments were at 7:30am. I didn’t mind as long as they came through on their end. At times I had to call every day to see if they had any available appointments. The excuse I always got was we are short staffed. However I was told by a receptionist they would prioritize patient appointments. I started my recent fertility treatments in August 2020 and we are in May 2021. As of today, we have only completed 3 IUI. All my appointments were mostly perform with nurse practitioners (NP). Even my follow up calls for blood work and or ultrasound scans were done by either a NP or by a different physician. I only met Dr. Marsha Baker twice throughout all this. Unbelievable! I was disappointed to say the least with the medial attention/service. My husband and I are so frustrated and upset with the way they’ve handled our case we are planning to switch insurances and no longer continue our medical coverage with Kaiser Permanente. Our whole fertility health care was nothing but the worse experience ever. We pay so much for our medical premiums/coverage to be dealing with this kind of patient/medical service. You will never see a doctor, let alone your assigned doctor, Dr Baker. Your notes to the doctor will be returned by a clerical with no reply allowed. Your nurse completing the sonogram will measure your follicles incorrectly. Zero accuracy. Sad to realize this after the 8th measurement. You will request a doctor on your 3rd procedure, and will see a nurse. You will call to schedule an appt on the first day of your period and the voicemail will be full. You will call again on day 2 and the voicemail will be full. You will be charged 3 different amounts for the same repeated procedure. If you have an urgent matter for the doctor, you will receive an appt for 2 months out. You will be a number. You will never see a doctor, let alone your assigned doctor, Dr Baker. Wasted an hour making appointment, filling out 10 pages of paperwork only to find out when turning in my paperwork that you must provide your social security number, no matter what, to see a practitioner that day. No exceptions ! I chose to cancel my appointment due to their requirement. I feel they were wrong, selfish, wasteful, unsafe, during a pandemic. Let people know up front ! You are the exception to all others They care about getting paid (tracking you with your SSN) but have less concern about their patients becoming victims of Fraud and Identity Theft. All of my banks and financial institutions adviser me never to give out my SSN. SSN theft is the number one way you will become a victim of fraud and identity theft. No matter how much people tell you they will safe guard your info, they don't always do that or are unable to prevent it. Dr. Marsha Baker's office personnel should tell you up front this is a no exception requirement. No other provider in the last 20 years has required me to divulge my SSN to receive care. Let us know ahead of time so people can move on to another choice of medical provider who will not jeopardize their financial security

Dr. Baker ROCKS! She’s incredibly gentle and patient. I tend to have difficulty with certain procedures but with Dr. Baker it was a piece of cake. I would MOST Definitely recommend her. Oh, and our pregnancy was a success. We had a baby girl

Dr. Baker is the best! My wife and I have done 6 cycles with USC and Dr. Baker and we could not be more happy. Baker is not only kind and intelligent, but is also a gentle soul and a lovely person. She really cares about her patients and goes the extra mile to help and inform. The staff is wonderful and they do a great job handling the large volume of patients day in and day out while helping everyone to remain positive and hopeful through what is sure to be a difficult experience.

Amazing doctor. She takes the time to listen and to answer all questions. She is very sweet and understanding. After visiting many doctors and dealing with infertility for many years Dr. Baker gave me hope. I'm very happy with Dr. Baker. I would recommend this doctor 100%
