Dr. Salm is the best doctor I've ever had. That says a lot for the number of doctors I've had over the years. He really does care and so does his staff. I feel like I'm going home when I go there. It's such a pleasant experience. I'd recommend him anytime any day.

I have a great deal of confidence and trust in Dr. Salm and the staff at Advanced Dermatology. I see him at least twice a year and more often if I need to have Mohs done for beta cells.

My appointment was with the P.A. Lauren Lee. YUCK!! The worst part of my experience was, the client table--where I was instructed to sit or lay down-- it was visibly filthy. The table had brown/black streaks of dirt, in several locations, along side the area that did not have the replaceable sanitation paper covering. I used my hand sanitizer and several tissues to clean the client table. I finally gave up because each new tissue I used, was left filthy. However, the only area that did not leave the tissues filthy was the head rest. This observation leads me to believe, its highly probably, they don't wash nor sanitize the client tables; only replacing the protective paper and cleaning the head rest. I found her to be rude, because she didn't allow me to finish my sentences; yet, cut me off when I was speaking and she told me, not to interrupt her. Patient care should be collaborative. I found her style of communication--in general--to illicit, defensiveness.

So thankful for the wonderful staff and doctor. They got me in ASAP, and I had to have Mohs surgery on my scalp for a very fast growing squamous cell. Thank you Dr. Salm and staff!

Great service, kind and compassionate. Assistant really cared about me and the ailment I came in for and followed up a few times to check in.

I HAD A WONDERFUL DERMATOLOGIST FOR MANY YEARS, IN SOCAL. NOW I AM LIVING IN TAHOE AND DIDN'T EXPECT TO FIND THE SAME HIGH QUALITY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE I KNEW. DR SALM AND HIS STAFF ARE UP THEIR WITH THE BEST.. THE QUALITY OF THEIR FILLERS AND PEELS ARE EXCEPTIONAL. I AM ALSO PAYING THE PRICE FOR MY SUN WORSHIPING YOUTH. Best experience I've ever had at Dermatologist. Excellent results! I followed after care instructions and was pain free during healing process. Kind, gentle, care. Five stars to this Doctor Salm and his staff.

I was referred there by another dermatologist who noticed a spot on my face that concerned them. So I started out somewhat nervous. Once I got there, I was not afraid at all. For me- they did this perfectly. No drama- no "uh-oh's". Just a regular day. They did mohs surgery on my face. Still- no big deal, no "you should be scared". It was done and it was successful- case closed. I was never given a reason to be frightened, although the spot on my face was indeed pre-cancerous. I really appreciated how everyone on their staff was happy and smiling. I heartily recommend Advanced Dermatology!! I receive consistent quality care and all of the staff are exceptional and very responsive and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Salm and his staff for all dermatological treatments.

Advanced Dermatology is a major asset to the Lake Tahoe Community. The friendly, knowledgeable staff puts you right at home as soon as you walk through the door. Regina is fabulous! So helpful and easy to talk to. I trust the doctors at Advanced Dermatology to take care of my skin!

Dr. Salm has been my dermatologist for 13 years. I have always been impressed by his kind, caring, and professional manner. He is very talented with delicate procedures of the skin. I saw him recently to have a growth burned off and back in March 2019 he cured a plantar wart. His office and staff are also top rate professionals. For a routine skin checkup you will be seen by the PA, who seems competent. When I arrived, I was checked in, and then ignored until I said something to the receptionist. They seemed perfectly willing to let me wait indefinitely.

I had two very different experiences here. First off, the staff was excellent when i showed up for my appointment. They were all very efficient and professional. Dr. McCrory (SP?) and Georgia took pains to full explain my situation and the spectrum of treatments to deal with it. I will be going back to see them regularly. Secondly, the bad, I made my initial appointment at the Kingsbury office, they even went to great lengths to describe where they were located because the snow makes it difficult to locate. Then I was called back 40 minutes later to confirm my appointment in Minden! Obviously a mistake had been made, no big deal, it happens. However, they wouldn't accept any responsibility for the mistake. That still bugs me, I had two very different experiences here. For a Doctors office, this place is great. Quick service. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Staff is friendly and efficient.

The ladies did a great job getting me an appointment quickly an the office staff was kind and professional. I saw the PA and she was thorough and informative. It as a great experience with very little wait time.

Jeannne is smart, skilled, friendly, and professional. She and Georgia make me feel comfortable, they listen to my concerns, answer my questions, and take care of any issues, and they do it all quickly without feeling rushed. I know I'm in good hands at Advanced Dermatology.

I have only seen the PA's but, knowing that PA's go through extensive medical training and have a firm grasp on medical treatments for most common skin disorders, I do not have a problem with them. Kyle and other PA's have always been able to handle the variety of skin conditions that I have had. I have found them to be pleasant and professional.

I had a sizeable Nevus Sebaceous that had grown since birth across my nose and parts of my face. Dr. Salm was knowledgeable, personable and professional, explaining my options, listening to my concerns and ensuring I felt confident in my choice. The surgery was quick despite the delicate areas requiring excision and recovery was painless. I am beyond satisfied with Dr. Salm, to whom I owe being able to look in the mirror with confidence. I will be returning as needed.

First visit I waited over 45 minutes just to see the Physicians Assistant for a five minute consultation. My follow up appointment with the doctor was again several months out, which was subsequently rescheduled out even further by the office a few weeks later. The day of the procedure was concerning as the nurse was visibly sick, blowing his nose into his gloved hands while helping the doctor. Surgical tools sterility were questioned, as they were presented exposed in a pile under a towel.

I am a patient of Dr. Salm's office and am very happy with my treatments. I have had Basal Cells removed and cosmetic procedures done and was always happy with the service. Over the years I have used the two P.A.'s, Jeanne and Kyle and felt that they were always professional and thorough with my skin exams. I felt that I was well taken care of.

First of all if you're expecting to visit a doctor for your rash, I've been advised by one of their employees the doctor does not stoop to such a low level of work. Instead you'll be visited by someone else. Oh they're nice alright. When you say, hello doctor, you'll get a big smile and a, just call me Kyle response. Perhaps you'll find out the next day when you check Kyle's business card he is not a doctor at all, but a PA. What is a PA? A doctor's assistant but you probably wouldn't be told that unless you asked them point blank. Oh and lastly, when you've finally had your appointment scheduled for weeks to meet the doctor because your wound or rash or allergic reaction hasn't healed - you'll have a receptionist tell you you're obviously mistaken thus calling you a liar as she tries to push you back towards the PA. So unfortunately I can't say a good word for them or Carson Dermatology for that matter. At CD I was able to get my money back after I discovered the PA's card at check out. At AD I wasted my evening and had my temper raised by a group that doesn't take responsibility for their actions. Someone needs to stop this new breed of creative money makers. It would have not only saved me a few visits to the dddd...PA but perhaps I would have been well by now too. So learn from my misfortune folks - Always ask to see a doctor when you make your appointment. Just don't ask who answers the phone to make an appointment for you. The staff was not only friendly and efficient I felt comfortable with the knowledge and professionalism they provided.

Did not and would not take the time to listen to my complaints. Intern was almost scared to be there both very dismissive basically wanted me to get out of the office cause he had other more important things to deal with

Dr Salm is meticulous and caring. I have been going to him for over 20 years as a melanoma survivor. I will wait as long as it takes to see him personally rather than assistants.

Dr Salm is a wonderful clinician-medical skin treatments are not painful and he ensures minimal scarring considering the person's esthetics as a plastic surgeon as well. His ancillary staff is for the most part ok but I would insist on seeing him!
