Dr. Mathias R Hagovsky

Oh boy, all I can say is please please please beware, do you really want a complete stranger making decisions for your children? Not to mention the fact that the documentation is not necessarily accurate and written for satisfaction not truth. In my opinion, he is not an advocate for the children and there are no true forensics collected but rather a created report version written by him. In my opinion, be cautious and tape-record the sessions which is legal in NJ. Look it up.

Dr. Hagovsky has helped me through some incredibly challenging seasons of my life. He is wonderfully empathetic and insightful and has a calming, kind demeanor that enables me to feel completely comfortable and able to be open and honest. He, in turn, is always honest with me and has challenged me to delve into some difficult areas of my life. I am blessed to have healthy, strong relationships with my husband and my son, and I firmly believe that Dr. H is responsible for that.

I can't say enough good things about Dr Hagovsky--- he's impartial, sympathetic, patient-- and he builds trust in a very organic manner -- vital when dealing with life changing issues. I couldn't help but read some other reviews-- it would appear some people lost their cases and are trolling. Been with him for years and have spoken with multiple psychologists-- Dr Hagovsky is above and beyond the best I've known.

Been my doctor for years. I trust him implicitly and he's been a lifesaver for me and my family. Highly recommend.

Dr. Hagovsky was court appointed to do a custody evaluation. While his demeanor was pleasant and professional it too well over a year to receive the report after completing the interviews. During that time our situation changed drastically yet the court still had year old recommendations that were completely irrelevant. The report had many factual errors, more time was spent with one of the parties, and only one of the parties family was contacted. Ask the court for a deadline!

Dr H helped my ex-husband and I get to a much better place for our children. He has much patience and exercises impartiality when making recommendations.

I recently had a custody case where he was my expert and he is very smart and what was best was he left an honest fair report for both sides leaving out all of the irrelevant bs that had nothing to do with the case

My heart goes for any person this gentleman has been evaluating his or her case for custody , He is lacking all the tools to be a professional . I encourage any father , mother or kids harmed by him or affect by him to leave for me her or his contact information . I will report him and I am working to get his license revoked. I am sure many family in new jersey has been injured and damage by him . He is faking information. irresponsible and arrogant . State of new jersey are responsible about

Dr H was my child's mother's forensic expert in an awful custody battle/trial. I had my own expert. I am not disgruntled and on the losing side. In fact I WON everything, despite Dr H's efforts to thwart justice and promote a flawed agenda. His report & testimony came off disingenuous & contradictory. He discredited himself greatly. He was not child-focused & behaved like a hired gun yet, lucky for me, one who shot blanks. You should steer clear of this guy and PRAY your opponent hires him.
