Office staff friendly. Dr. Austin explained what will happen during surgery and after care. Overall very good would recommend to friends and family

Dr Austin and his staff have been amazing since day one. Always made time to answer all my questions before during and after my TKR. Besides the surgery going well, what I found most important was to have the open line of communication during my recovery which takes time thru healing, PT, follow up, etc. Dr Austin was not only attentive, but also confident and comfortable handling my case, which was a bit unusual. A+

Very well organized and run office. Dr. Austin and Dr. Gold took the time necessary to explain everything about knee replacement surgery. In my case even recommending that I not have knee replacement surgery until further diagnostic testing is done.

Dr.Austin is very experienced, nice and patient Orthopedic surgeon who is specialized in keens. Thank you so much for doing TKR for my mother in law so she is able to walk now. Highly recommended to patients who has knee problems, and especially for those considering getting the knee replacement.

Dr Austin is the best (hip issues, look no further) My hip was in terrible shape which cause my leg to be shorter than the other one. Dr Austin replace my hip on December 14 and I'm walking less than three weeks without a cane and by leg is back equal with the other one. Much love to Dr Austin and his staff!!!!!

Visited the Newtown office. It runs like a well oiled machine. My appointment was at 8:00am. Had e rays, exam and disc and was done by 8:30.

I had put off surgery for too long due to schedule & life obligations so by the time of the knee replacemnt things were pretty bad. Dr. Austin did a terrific job on the joint & incision. 6 months later now & I've turned around my health, lost weight, back in the same size pants as high school. It's a long journey, recovery has some tough times but it was better than before and so worth it.

I see him for arthritis in my knees. So far he has helped me prolong the inevitable knee replacement. I will take all the time I can get. He also replaced my husbands both knees. He did a great job and no problems. I would recommend him highly.

Dr. Austin did my hip replacement nine years ago. Have never had a problem. This recent visit is for a new problem.

Dr Matthew Austin was very knowledgeable, personable, and compliant with answers to any and all questions that I had in reference to the procedure I was having done. He took as much time as I needed to understand the procedure starting with the pre operative lclearance, surgery, rehabilitation and post operative policy.

Dr Austin listened and chose best option for my knee issue. I am very grateful to him!!

I had a knee replacement in November by Dr.Matthew S. AUSTIN . I was very impressed by the care i received at the rothman hospital in Bensalem. The care i received by Dr. Austin,s team was exceptional. The team was there with any answers i had during my recovery I would definitely recommend Dr. Austin and rothman orthopedics.

Dr. Austin performed two total hip replacement surgeries… One in September 2021 and the other in December 2021. He provided the ultimate care and shared any and all relevant information for me to make the most appropriate decision. I felt completely comfortable. I feel like 100% and he cured a very debilitating disease. I was well informed and well prepared. I don’t think I could have picked a better doctor, staff and a surgical center.

Outstanding. The Doctor and his staff are very professional and make you feel comfortable when discussing the knee replacement procedure. Dr. Austin replaced my other knee 4 years ago with close to zero pain and zero discomfort. I have confidence this will show the same results.

I recently had my left hip replaced and I can't enough good things about my experience! The preparation work was flawless, the day of surgery was smooth as could be and I have felt completely supported throughout the recovery. They make themselves available, for whatever assistance I've needed! I've been recommending them to everyone I know!

Everyone at Rothman Bensalem is just very nice to work with as well as very caring. Doctor Austin, well he is awesome and so understanding! I would recommend this institution hands down!! Everyone there knows what to do, and they know how to do it! No need to worry.

I am a 59 years old man. I am 5'-8" and about 155 lbs. For about 10 years I had known about progressing arthritis in my hips. It was effecting the quality of my life: my sleep, ability to walk, etc. I felt like I was slowly becoming a cripple. On 7 June 2021 I had a bilateral hips replacement surgery done at Rothman Institute in Bensalem by Dr Mathew Austin. Today, five and a half months later, I feel like a new man. Dr. Austin is a kind and personable professional. He replaced my right knee on October 6th, 2021 and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend him to family and friends, and have done so. He is a consummate Orthopedic Surgeon!

Dr. Austin and the staff at Rothman/Bensalem were supportive and skilled. The nurse practitioner (Marilyn) and nurse (Mouy) have always been good listeners and prompt about my concerns. Dr. Austin is consistently informative and concerned.

I have known Dr. Austin since 2011 when he replaced my left knee due to arthritis. That knee continues to function perfectly. In 2020, I developed severe pain in my right knee and left hip from arthritis. I was at the point where I could not walk more then a few steps. The pain was excruciating. Dr. Austin replaced my knee in November 2020 and my hip in April 2021. I am now pain free and able to take walks again. Dr. Austin has given me my life back, and I am so grateful. He is an excellent surgeon with a compassionate bedside manner. His assistants, Marilyn and Moy were very helpful during my recuperation. They returned calls promptly and provided advice and support. I give this team my highest recommendation.

Dr. Austin is amazing. I went to him about right hip pain a few years ago after another surgeon told me I needed two hip replacements at that time. He was honest with me and told me that it was not quite time for one hip replacement let alone two. When I went back to him a few years later, he said that if I wanted the surgery done, he would now do the surgery because my hip had deteriorated to the point that surgery was warranted. I am now scheduled for surgery and feel very confident with him as my surgeon. Every time I've seen him, I have never felt rushed. He is friendly and kind and is easy to talk to because he is just so down to earth. I will recommend him to anyone I know who needs an orthopedic surgeon. I couldn't ask for a better experience.

My Husband has scheduled a knee replacement w/ Dr. Austin in November. We chose him because so many people have recommend him. When we met w/ him to discuss options, his was understanding, and informative. Dr. Austin has really taken care of me these last three years with a hip replacement, which went well, and handling my knee pain. He is very personable and knowledgeable.

He is a marvel: My hip replacement surgery gave me my life back, and Dr. Austin is a superb surgeon.

I recently moved to PA and In dire need of a good Orthopedic Dr. Since I am unfamiliar with the area and don’t know many people I started my search and everywhere I turned, I came up with Dr Austin. I have found him to be my strength in an unknown place. Did not had to wait three mos for my first appt. Within a month I became his Patient and right away he designed an action plan which put me in the road to recovery. He knew that I am in pain and needed help. In addition, his compasión and bed side manner makes him what he is ...an outstanding Doctor.

I did quite a bit of research before choosing a doctor to correct a hip replacement while my husband was working in Cherry Hill, NJ. A friend gave me a book about local doctors that introduced me to the Rothman Institute (we actually live in Chattanooga, Tennessee permanently). After doing more research the Rothman Institute stood out in my mind. I'll be eternally grateful to that friend because it led me to the most gifted surgeon, Dr. Matthew Austin who was highly rated with Rothman, even by other patients in the waiting room. He has everything you wish for in a doctor/surgeon; perfect personality, wonderful bedside manner and extensive knowledge in his field. In fact, out of all the highly rated doctors at Rothman Institute, I was told he was the only one with enough knowledge and experience to do my surgery (I must have been a problem case!). Dr.Austin and his staff are professionals. Over the many years seeing the Dr. I was always given the time needed to ask questions or have any procedure explained to me. I've had a knee replacement on one knee then had to have a knee revision done later on. I also had a knee revision done on on my other knee.. I experienced an infection of some kind. The Dr was in vacation and through his staff he monitored my situation by the pictures I took. He made sure that I was given the proper treatment and he checked in to make sure the treatment was working. I have referred several people to Dr. Austin and everyone agrees that he is one of the best! Thanks for taking time out of your vacation. I had knee revision on 7-19-21. I was back up on my feet in 3 weeks. Getting stronger daily.

6 months post knee replacement by Dr. Matt Austin and i am doing great. Thanks to my orthopoedist Dr. Aland; my therapist Kris at Rothman; and Muy and Marilyn from Dr. Austin’s team.

My visit to Rothman Orthopaedic Specialty was definitely a 5 STAR experience. My Dr. Matthew Austin was very knowledgeable and was an excellent listener. He answered my questions as well as posed questions to me, so he could ascertain clearly my needs and expectations. He was very easy to talk to. Dr. Austin's Intern (I know that is not the title Peter gave to me. Please forgive me) but he was so thorough with knee replacement and what is going on with my x-rays. And the prosthetic he used for demistration made me understand my surgery better. Dr Austin's nurse Mouy Kaing, RN, BSN Orthopaedic Joint Team was superfantastic. She is very thorough with her paperwork and explanation there of. Quite honestly from the time I walked in the front door I felt welcomed! The front door desk person and the receptionists on the floor of Dr. Austin were ALL SUPERFANTASTIC!!! I like when I leave a place and think, that seems like a cool place to work. Promt reply to office visit request and attended to on time. Dr Austin went right to the issue and administered cortisone to elevate the pain.

I had total hip replacement in January 2021 by Dr. Matthew Austin. Could not be happier, wish I had done this years ago. Dr. Austin is kind, compassionate. He took his time and explained the procedure thoroughly. His staff and the staff at the Rothman Surgical Center in Bensalem are awesome. I would highly recommend Dr. Austin and would not hesitate to use him again.

In January I saw Dr Austin for my knees. I couldn't do any of the normal activities I was use too. Dr Austin said the only way to get you back to doing the things I use to do was Total Knee Replacement. I knew i had to get it done because all other options did not give me any relief. I had the surgery on January 6 @ Rothman Specially Hospital in Bensalem. Dr Austin didn't sugar coat anything. He told me the pain would be bad the first 2 weeks after surgery. After that it would gradually get better. He was absolutely correct on both statements. I just saw him for my 6 month check up and I told him I'll be getting the other one done probably at the end of September. Dr Austin gave me my life back as I am now able to go out ,walk and do the things I wasn't able to do before surgery. I would definitely recommend Dr Austin Rothman institute to anyone needing a TKR.
