Dr. Matthew C Farrugia

Dr. Farrugia is great. I saw him on 5-31-22 for a throat problem. It felt like a lump in my throat every time I swallowed and was painful. This condition was going on for about a month. I saw a PCP couple weeks before with no success. Dr. Farrugia gave me a thorough exam including scoping my throat. I was thinking the worst. However, from his finding, he correctly concluded I had sprained my throat muscle(s) and that was causing the pain/sensation. He recommended some things to do to relieve the pain and heal the sprain. I found Dr. Farrugia practical, a very good laser focused listener, and a good diagnostician. This is the second time over the years I have seen him. He was good at diagnosing my problem then and now. 6 stars for Dr. Farrugia!

very bad experience with this doctor left me in pain and told me to seek help someplace else. I don’t know why he did not explain what my problem was in my nose I can’t breath it’s very painful and I begged him for help. He told me it’s not an issue just crust but I have major mucus lumps coming out my nostril everyday. Exceptional doctor and very gentle when scoping nose.

Lost my taste after my tonsillectomy from Dr.Farrugia. I'm 6 months post op and still haven't got my taste back fully. Pretty sure I got nerve damage during the surgery. Very frustrating

His staff is awful and he is too insecure to accept their obvious significant incompetence which thereby makes him A provider unable to provide necessary value for patients. Have never been treated so poorly by anyone.

I went to this ent because I have been struggling with my ears with ringing. Not only didn’t he spend really any time addressing my concerns, he was in a rush and didn’t seem like he even cared and made me feel like I was crazy and my concerns were not warranted. I felt extremely disappointed when I left and didn’t feel any better than when I first came to see him. DIDNT seem like he cared at all and was more like he wanted money than to actually help me. I absolutely adore Dr. Farrugia and his staff. He is always precise, thorough, and patient.

Dr. Farrugia is excellent. The office billing practices are questionable - no hard bill / straight to collections. But the Doctor is excellent. Superior surgeon.

Dr Farrugia was excellent! He was very professional, and had a kind and caring "bedside manner." After having a very bad experience with a different ENT, I was relieved to be listened to, have an appropriate exam for the vertigo I was experiencing, and have a procedure that has cured the vertigo. He explained what I needed to do at home following the procedure to ensure that it worked. I would highly recommend Dr Farrugia to family and friends.

Dr. Matthew Farrugia saved my life 8 months back. This was my first time with Dr. Farrugia. To this day and always, he will be considered my 'God', given me a 2nd life I would certainly say. Me along with my family are very grateful to Dr. Farrugia. Thank you doc.

Very caring and excellent doctor!

INCREDIBLE doctor! He did surgery to remove my 19 year olds tonsils and the experience was nothing but excellent. His bed side manner and the way he cares for his patients is superb. He is very kind and gentle in his approach with his patients. I too, see him for all my ENT needs. Any opinion or review stating anything different about him, might need the source looked at. We saw Dr. Farrugia for my 8 y/o son's tonsillectomy. Dr. Farrugia was excellent, caring and did a top notch job. My son was relatively "back to normal" within 3 days. Dr. Farrugia was excellent in explaining care, answering my son's questions and executing the surgery. In and out in 20-30 min. I would highly recommend Dr. Farrugia to anyone. Had a partial thyroid removal with Dr Farrugia and although two years ago I felt he could be more warm and offer more information, I am thrilled that I returned to him two years later to have him do the procedure. He was wonderful and skilled. I couldn’t be more pleased with my outcome so far. Things went so well I was able to go home the same day. Totally professional and compassionate. I was pleasantly surprised. Although I value skill over bedside manner, I was delighted to have both with Dr. Farrugia. Since I gave a less than favorable review I owed it to him to provide an update. People tend to complain more quickly than praise. Praise is in order! Dr. Faruggia had a great bedside manner and was very informative. He gave great care. However, on my return visit the office staff call me up and told me I had an unpaid balance. The whole waiting room could hear. This was untrue, it was paid. Four times I received bills for the same office visit that was paid. Each time I called the billing office and they said it was taken care of. The fourth notice was from a collection agency. I will not return to this doctor for that reason.

Terrible experience. My minor 17 year old son had a brain MRI. I had to wait for a week to get an appointment for the review of the results. Went for the appointment for review (my teenage son was unable to make it because he had to work). Doctor would not review or give me any results. I had been waiting on pins and needles for a week. I was a patient of this doctor as well and had been there with my son. I pleaded with the nurse to at least tell me if the results were good or bad. The doctor would not speak with me or even come in the room without my minor son present. Very inhumane to send mom away without knowing results after waiting for a week. I took time out of my schedule as well, and all they could tell me is that I have to schedule another appointment and come back again with my son. I will never go back to this doctor again. Dr. Farrugia is an excellent doctor - he talks to you about your issue(s) and actually listens; he explains everything and has a step-by-step approach; he displays a very high level of knowledge; he is very skillful at procedures (such as tubes). And at the end of the day his treatment WORKS. Highly recommended.

None sympathetic towards our diagnosis. Pretty much gave us not a lot of hope in feeling better, except that maybe my daughter may grow out of her vertigo. One word to describe him, smug. Will never go back to him.

Dr. Farrugia is very knowledgeable and very empathetic. He has been my ENT for over 5 years and he has helped me a lot. I strongly recommend him for sinus issues.

Although a very pleasant doctor. I felt the diagnosis for thyroid removal was rushed. I was not given much direction. I took time to post questions on the portal, but requested a needle biopsy so questions were not answered. Just told to follow up after biopsy. Surgical date was cancelled without my knowledge. I intended on having surgery just wanted more information. Biopsy was scheduled far enough away from surgery date to make me comfortable with removing only half of thyroid.

He is super locked in to any problem you may have. Top notch doctor period. Had Septoplasty/Nasal spur removed, and Ballon sinusplasty done. Thank you Dr. Farrugia, for helping change my life!!

Doctors are good, no problem with them. Billing dept is the worst I've ever had to deal with. Never send bills in the mail and then want to put you into collections. When I get an email for a statement I find I have outstanding balance from 2013, this is 2015, cannot use HSA to pay in 2015. Then they wont let me pay the bill because may son is now an adult and they feel he is now responsible for payment and plan to put him into collection. Well why are you sending me the email for statement 2 years later? Do not use ENT Specialists, their billing dept. will ruin your credit because they cannot communicate.
